Why isn't there a cent key on the key on my keyboard?
Also I was wondering what the deal really is with the One Cent PPV. Are they really only charing one cent for this thing or is it the regular 10 bucks with a mail in rebate? Have they announce the card for this thing yet?
Viewers Choice in Canada has the price listed as $0.01, no mention of rebate or anything. The confusion may be stemming from DirecTV (I think they're the one) offering a different "Best Of" show for the regular price. I believe the matches being shown are only in highlight form and www.nwatna.com has the lineup, but if memory serves they're planning to air:
Jarrett vs. Raven (April 30 show) Jarrett vs. Styles vs. Raven (AJ wins title) Styles/Syxx-Pac vs. Sting/Jarrett Styles vs. D-Lo cage match Triple X vs. AMW cage match Ultimate X match with Shane, Kazarian, and Sabin
Your local cable company MAY charge some taxes and fees as well. (Mine says "$0.01 + tax/fees" - interestingly, they have also mislabeled one of today's replays of LAST week's show as a $0.01 show as well as mislabeled a replay of TODAY's show as $9.95 - actually, it isn't THAT interesting...never mind)
I'm guessing the matches will be clipped, because the NWA site says "footage from ______". Plus, I don't think they could fit all the matches into a 2-hour slot if they were all unclipped.
But I did read on another board that a couple of the matches might be full, w/ the rest clipped, w/ the full matches rumored to be Jarrett/Raven and the XXX/AMW cage match.
Dammit! Does anybody fancy taping the show for me and mailing over to the UK? I'll send postage and packaging-plus the cent, of course.

NO, not a TNA Sunday Night Heat! I really hate clipped matches, but I guess it's to show as much as they can off, but I still really hate clipped matches.

Can you play NTSC tapes? I was under the impression that UK was PAL.

Converting one to tother ain't that difficult provided you have access to the right equipment, though I've always found it does result in a bit of a jumpy picture for some reason. I never involve myself in the technical side of such things but I'm pretty sure its something to do with taking out every nth frame from the NTSC version to make it compatible.
Well to get back to the topic, I'm pretty sure some things are clipped. I really don't mind clippage if it's just the more boring bits. Besides, having seen all the matches already when they first happened, I really don't think clipping them for a one cent PPV won't take away from their significance.
After a quarter of a century on this planet, there's two things I know for sure... 1)I'm smarter than I was a year ago. 2)WWE isn't. 1200 bitches and counting....

Most modern gear can handle both. I have several NTSC copies of stuff that plays well on my system (PAL country) (Sony TV, Phillips VCR & DVD < 2 yrs old)
Stoopid trivia: What does NTSC stand for?
Never The Same Color ;-p
Warrior Quote: "Presuming initial consensualness, where exactly do we draw the lines of our judgment pinning down the responsibility and accountability inextricably attached to each human life? "
Christopher Daniels really stands out. His heel kick is beautiful.
The AMW/XXX match was a damn fine match.
Raven's unwilling face character is one of the better characters I've seen in awhile and I like his wherever he goes Douglas goes to beat him up story. But...
I could really go for less retreads such as Douglas, Sandman, Sting and X-Pac.
The AMW looked like two smaller Bart Gunn's.
Did Perry Saturn really cover all his old tatoos with those new ones? Or was I seeing them wrong?
I'm still not a real big fan of Russo or Jarrett.
Overall it was nifty, but I can't see myself plunking down 10 bones for it. Maybe if they booked less second rate old timers I might be more interested, but I was kind of bored there in the middle of the show.
Edit: Oh, yeah Johnny Swinger has been hittin' the juice aye? I still love him for taking the evil golfers challenge on WCW Saturday Night, "I'm Johnny Swinger, and I can swing anything."
