According to 411, WWE is advertising Brock v. UT on top and Angle v. Cena for No Mercy.
Looks like Brock is winning the title back in a week...
A frank discussion of HHH's chances in Hollywood: Dark Renegade: "I can see it now...Freddy vs. Jason vs. Triple H. Both Freddy and Jason are much better, but Triple H will screw Satan's daughter and he'll get Satan's help in going over both of them." Canadian Bulldog: "That's just such an unlikely scenario. Obviously, it would end with Triple H running Jason over with a car, then invading his nightmare so that he could wallop Freddy Krueger with a sledgehammer."
Sounds fine and dandy to me. Angle vs. Cena would rock the house, and there's really nowhere left to go for Kurt and champion. And Brock and Taker have great chemistry together.

Makes a lot of sense for Brock to win it back during the Iron Man and have another go with `Taker. Might even erase the whole tapping out thing from SummerSlam if they do it carefully enough.
Personally, I also wanted Monster Brock to remain the heavyweight champion. There was no reason to turn him face last year after his match with Rock, other than possibly to build towards the Angle match at 'Mania. Happy Dancin' Brock wasn't nearly effective as champion, so it will take some time to erase that. Back to back victories over Angle and Undertaker would certainly help.
As for Angle-Cena, I'm all for that as well. They proved during a recent SD taping in Toronto that they have some nice chemistry going on. And if anyone can pull that first `great match' out of Cena, Kurt can.
The only problem is, that leaves Zach Gowen without a top spot on the show, and we wouldn't want that...

That actually brings me to ask, exactly what is this weeks smackdown? 3 matches? With one of them being an Ironman match. Which I'm hoping they don't blow.
This is getting annoying now isn't it?

It's not this week. It's next week. If they did it this week with the already shortened Smackdown (because of "The Mullets"), they'd only have 1/2 hour left

It doesn't necessarily mean Angle loses the title. I find it odd that they'd avertise Angle-Cena, as well as Brock-UT. They only usually advertise the one top match for the title. It's possible that Brock-UT takes top billing, even though it's not the actual title match.
I mean, Cena's great and all, but he's not exactly at main event level. Champions always have lameduck challengers from time to time.
Giving the title back to Brock is a horrible move. It's like they can't seem to make up their mind between Angle and Brock, despite the fact that Angle is obviously more talented and interesting.

I couldn't agree more, but WWE's perspective is probably that Lesnar is their superstar of the future, and Angle will likely have to retire within a couple of years due to injury.
Of course, what's best for business doesn't seem to matter when it comes to keeping the belt on the other world champion, but that's politics for ya.

Next champion HAS to be someone outside the Brock-Angle-Show triangle. While Brock and Angle have shown they are capeable of pulling out decent matches out of Show I'm bored out of my brain seeing the title switch hands between these three guys.
Had this triangle involved Nash-HHH-HBK we would have all been bitching and whining about. The Smackdown World Title scene is a bore.
I propose Chris Benoit or Eddie Guerrero as the next WWE Champion.
This proves nothing. It also creates a difficult situation. People invest an HOUR in a match and the heel wins? Ugh, that's messy. I mean, sure, that happened with Triple H when he won his Iron Man, but that was Triple H.
There is nowhere to go with Brock as Champ. Who is he going to face? It's not like they'll put Eddy over him, Show is a heel, Cena's a heel, and Angle has faced him 417 times. Besides, Brock cost 'Taker his title (way to not tap out, and then destroy the Champion and make the talented, healthy babyface need to be saved last week, BTW) so it only makes sense that Taker cost Brock his. Then you have all the reason in the world to have a heated main-event on top. Let Cena and Angle co-main.
Besides, if they change it in the Iron Man wouldn't they be switching both titles within 3 days. Unforgiven's the first big show after SD, and Trips has to lose with the injury and the honeymoon and whatnot, so wouldn't it be overkill?
Personally I don't think they should have booked this at all. Neither man will look good if he loses. Kurt was just shown to be real good, but still not good enough to beat an old fat biker who was injured the week before. By not tapping, even when the ref was down, Taker ALSO made Brock look like a chump, since Brock just tapped at SSlam. Now if Kurt loses right after needing a save, forget it. They've finally begun to erase the goofball booking they've done with Kurt for all these years, he's finally being accepted as a top hand, and now they're going to completely bitch him out?
Jesus, I hope not.

Yeah, that Smackdown triangle for the WWE title is really stale.
Cena, like Randy Orton on RAW, is not quite ready for a heayweight title push. Give them a run as the U.S. and I-C champs, respectively, and see how they take off from there.
My vote is, for the bazillionth time, Benoit.

Who says that UT v Brock will be for the title? Maybe Cena will be going for the title against Angle.

I think its part of the Mr. McMahon character yes. That is what gave him away as the higher power too (just before he gave it away by revealing his face) And I bet its not a corn cob, but a feather "...
