a very good movie set in the ighlands of i think it was Scotland. a squad of army boys is sent on a training mission, but a pack of hungry wearwolves soon gets on their trail. they catch up to the humans, and wackyness ensues.
very good very violent and gory and totaly british (i mean in slang, seeing as it's a sqaud of brits) worth a look.
Dog Soldiers (which is Australin for "you, by law, can not be under the age of 15 if u wanna watch this)
"Aiiiigh - they won't fit!" "Of COURSE they'll fucking fit!"
The werewolves look like they came from the Doctor Who Monster Factory, but the movie is tons of fun nonetheless, particularly for its wicked sense of humor. If nothing else, watch it just for the scene near the end when Spoon (one of the soldiers) uses anything and everything in a country farmhouse's kitchen to defend himself...
"When WCW tries to be racy, it's generally about as light-heartedly entertaining as watching a man rape a woman in a chicken yard." -- Dark Cheetah
I've been trumpetting this film's praises since waaaay back last May, when it hit the screens here in the Uck. It's pretty much the perfect comedy-horror movie, the best we've seen since Evil Dead 2.
And Lo, The Urine Shall Flow Freely In The Aisles, As Small Children And Frail Old Ladies Flee Before The Brutality, The Might, The Sheer Viciousness...Of ~EVIL COACH~!
There have been some pretty good horror coming out in the past year....Dog Soldiers, May (creepy as all hell), 28 days later, FvsJ, Cabin Fever looks hella sweet, Romero's 4th dead movie is supposedly ready to go...only that piece of shit that James Gunn is trying to pass off as a remake of Dawn of the Dead REALLY REALLY irks me, man I would pay money to get Gunn and Kyle Snyder into a room w/ Tom Savini and Romero and watch Savini beat the living crap out of both them for ruining in my opinion the best horror movie of all time.
One film you should look out for as well next year is 'Shawn Of The Dead'. It's a zombie-rom-com film, written and produced by the same team who did the excellent sitcom Spaced.
...full of energy. Multi-orgasmic, if you will, in a cosmic sort of way."
