So, last week, RAW ended, and I'm flipping channels, when I come upon the Sunshine Network. Lo and behold, I see Terry Funk challenging Steve Corino for his Heavyweight Title. He attacks Corino, then gets blindsided by none other than ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER. 10 minutes and fifty forkshots later, there's blood all over the ring, and Terry knocks down Abdullah and runs out of the ring. Adbreak.
Next, I saw Joey Styles announcing the eventual return of Satoshi Kojima, and my only reaction to all this is: When did this start?
The next match is the main event: Jimmy Yang and Tony Mamaluke vs. some team called "Los Maximos". After many highspots, one of Los Maximos gets a pin on Mamaluke.
Just before the show ends, we get a video montage of Kojima wrestling in Japan.
I'm wondering: has anyone else seen this show? At the very least it's an alternative to RAW, even if it's after RAW ends.
Oh, and this week: Jerry "The King" Lawler beat Terry Funk. It sure is surreal seeing Lawler wrestle on two separate shows. Why is that?

There have been a few threads about MLW on here before; I guess I learned about MLW some time around June. Look at your Friday night scedule for Sunshine, they have been showing IWA(?) out of Puerto Rico at 10:00 pm CDT and replaying the Monday MLW at 11:00 pm CDT. The IWA (I think it is IWA, Dutch Mantell is one of the announcers) is pretty good, they have a strange deal where I've seen Tommy Dreamer AND some guys from NWA-TNA at times. Savio Vega is the lead heel as "The Boss".
Anyway, if you can remember to tape it, the Friday night slot works well, if you can find time to watch both shows.
MLW is looking better and better each day, the War Games and J Cup card looks like a winner.

The show uses lot of WWE and NWA-TNA guys becuse these are old storylines from a couple of years ago or less that have been edited for this show. Savio is know as "The Boss" becuase of trademark issues with WWE

Hmmm...I didn't know about the Friday night replay of MLW. I like the idea of having that second option to see the show.
I've gone to see both shows that they had out of Orlando (May 9 and July 26). It's interesting to see how they manage to spread the matches from one three hour show over the next few weeks, without having people wrestle more than once. They do seem to get wrestling footage from other places to flush it out, though.
It still amuses me that Joey Styles will claim that MLW.com is the only source for wrestling news we need in one commercial, and turn around and plug 1wrestling.com in another.
...I'm starting to wonder if my sig is still relevant now that a lot of people are starting to say good things about HHH. I'll wait to see if the tone is the same after Unforgiven...

I just checked Sunshine Network's website. Apparently MLW is only shown on Monday night at 11PM and on Tuesday morning at 5AM. So there is no MLW Friday night showing (at least in this area), but IWA is showing at 11PM Friday night as mentioned above.
Oh, well. I didn't know anything of IWA before reading this thread. It seems worth checking out...
