Jericho/Christian was the highlight for me. They just tore it up.

On the other end was the Shane/Kane segment. It was like I'd turned the channel to "Jackass". How long could it have taken Kane to get that second handcuff on? And from there it just went downhill.

The main was pretty good. Even better was HHH's promo, especially with the Goldberg interruption.

Missed opportunity of the night...After Austin blows off Long/Henry/Mack for bumping them tonight, and giving RVD the first match next week, we could have heard Long in the back saying "Wait a minute...WE'RE supposed to be the first match next week!"

I don't know...I had a hard time getting into this show, but I suppose it was worth it to see Stevie and Victoria, not to mention seeing Trish bend backward like that...

Of what I was able to watch on RAW tonight, from the La Resistance/SuperFriends tag match till the end, I thought tonight was well done. I actually booed La Resistance for the reasons a fan should boo a chickenshit heel tag team. And was it just me, or did Conway COMPLETELY WALLOP Rosey with that tag title belt?

I thought the Test/Stacy/Victoria/Richards/Steiner segment was excellent. Test is THE guy in the midcard to hate on RAW right now. In a way, I hope that when Steiner wins Stacy Keibler back (it's GOTTA pay off that way, right?), we can get a good and corny celebration out of the two of them, complete with tears (squish squish), hugs and what-not, essentially, duplicating Richard Gere a la 'Officer and a Gentleman' at the end of that movie. C'mon, y'all! You all KNOW a little maize (MY-EEZ) mixed in would be good for the end of this feud. Admit it, now...

More and more, the HHH-Goldberg showdown is interesting me. HHH's facial expressions when Goldberg destroyed Orton at the end of the match were great. Not only did it show that Trips has genuine fear of his upcoming challenger, HHH's emotions also betrayed his tall talk, and one can sense that he might know that Goldberg is capable of taking away the World's Heavyweight Title.

And after seeing Orton get plowed by the next World Champion, all I can say is, "Goldberg Brand Spear-- Kills Randy Ortons DEAD."

And next week, we get the battle of the Big Red Machine Kane vs. the OTHER Big Red Machine, Rob Van Dam! Not only is it going to be in a cage, it'll be another battle of namesakes taking one another on-- like the Battle of the Nature Boys, Flair vs. Landell. I can't wait!

Lastly, BTW, maize is Spanish for 'corn,' just in case I confused anybody above.

This week, I give RAW a B.

I'm not sure how I feel about new GAY BONDAGE KANE.

RAW's getting to be Vince's Sexual Oddities show, isn't it? Sending Bischoff to his house to molest his wife - having Stacy in servitude to Test - and now Kane trying out his Endo impression on Shane-O-Mac's jewels. This all follows such highlights as the Vince Beds A Bimbo/Diva roulette wheel, the Kiss My Ass Club, and (of course) the Katie Vick mess. What's left?

By the way, nice run-in by Steiner. It's the first time I've seen someone trip on the ring apron, then struggle to clear the retaining wall. That man has the flexibility of an oak two-by-four.

I can't imagine using Coach vs. Good Old JR as a PPV selling point.

Stevie Richards' smile saved the show for me.

The "TWO!" shouts were suspiciously quiet this week; I hope they recover.

I think it's becoming increasingly obvious that they intend to turn Jericho face, and I'll tell you why: this week, for the first time in a very long time, Jericho wasn't wearing any bright colours. Nope, all black tonight; it was a really obvious contrast once Christian hit the ring, wearing what I guess could be considered the heel colours. He was the only guy in there not wearing black, and that's what tipped me off. I believe my exact words were, and I am quoting from memory, "...huh".

I hope Heel Coach kills JR dead at Unforgiven, then immediately starts moving up the ranks with solid wins until he defeats Goldberg for the World Title. That is how much I love Heel Coach. Hell, his facial expressions in his one segment entertained me more than most of the show. This man is money!

What really made me laugh is that Good Ol' JR, trying his hardest to get Coach over, had to go with the only way he's ever known -- start talking about his athletic background! The last thing I was expecting was for JR to start listing off Coach's physical accomplishments, as though he were trying to put over Mark Henry.

By in large, I liked the show, a lot.

For starters, it's looking as if not only will the match at the PPV be good, but HHH and Goldberg may actually have chemistry. Sure, it may be limited to Goldberg glaring at HHH and HHH looking like he'll wet himself, but that's more than we've been privy to in a long while. The fact that Goldberg won't even jump Trips, and is waiting for the match, just gives this a very cool old school feud vibe.

Coach vs. JR will be Sports Entertainment, pure and simple, and my guestimation is that it'll turn into an impromptu Lawler/Snow match. (Ever notice these guys show up as hidden characters in the video games?)

I like Kane, but electricuting Shane's crotch? Peculiar, but I like how Kane is playing the part of Jason Voorhees and RVD playing every kid in every Friday the 13th movie. Kane's a monster, good. He can be fought off, good. He defies death and has the movie monster gimmick that's WWE authentic, awesome.

After watching the Two Towers for the 17th time, I've come to the realization that not only is Scott Steiner a natural sprinter (very dangerous at close range), but more than likely, both tripping on the apron and stumbling over the barricade were deliberate.

Austin punking out active wrestlers is a bad thing, but outsmarting them is alright. I appreciate that Austin doesn't stun everybody anymore, and rather made Christian and Jericho have a match (Jericho was defacto face, crowd chants "boring" to great mat wrestling between the two.)

Main Event was solid. HBK did yank Maven out of the ring, probably quite before Maven was thinking he should have left, but Micheals' experience showed itself in the ring, and I doubt Maven should be too upset. Buildup to Goldberg getting in the ring was good.

The Triple H / Goldberg hype is getting good. I just hope Evolution throws some kind of plan into action so everyone stays in character. Hunter is obviously scared of Goldberg they have to have a plan for him to win.

I apologize at this point. When Coach turned, I thought a match between him and JR would main event RAW. I don't know if I should thank them for proving me wrong or ponder over who would pay to see it.

That aside, I enjoyed the matches that involved actual wrestlers, thereby DQing the matches with Coach & Stacy, which is really all anybody could ask for.

All I want to know about the Shane-Kane incident is this: WHERE WERE HURRICANE AND ROSEY while that was going on?

Yeah, the "man with a gun" thing ended badly, but that was at least a little ambiguous. But Kane meets all of the recognized criteria for Supervillain status:

* flamboyant costume (check)

* retard strength (check)

* disfigured, scarred, or just plain ugly (check)

* mysterious past (check)

* nearly impervious to pain (and flaming dumpsters - check)

* super powers (he once set Regal's desk on fire via pyrokinesis -- check)

* dark, raging desires that motivate him to tie people up and do very nasty things to them (check)

And if you can't trust superheroes _who are in the building_ to swoop in and prevent a supervillain from clamping jumper cables on the boss's son's nuts and frying them with a car battery, what are superheroes for?

Was that the first time that Flair and HBK have been in the ring together in their current wwf runs? It was pretty sweet how the crowd reacted to them and they did the little Hogan/Rock look at the crowd thing for a second.

Jericho and Christian tore it up last night. Jericho is now on the slow burn to facedom. This looks like its going to be my favorite program of the year.

I think I'm going to start watching Heat now just to hear the commentary team of Heel Coach and Heel Al. Does this mean the end of Tough Enough?

Yes I have to agree with everyone that I marked out when Goldberg came face to face with HHH in his interview. Thank you Trips for finally showing fear.

Finally, there were two reasons that this was my favorite Raw in a long time.

1 Wrestling!!! in the main event
2 They hyped a big match for next week.

I thought Raw was pretty decent this week. I don't know if it so much Al turning heel, more than the B show announce team mad at not getting a shot at the A show.

Jericho vs Christian was great, too bad the fans had to bust out the noring. I'm just happy Jericho and Christian shut them up, and the crwd genuinely got into this match.

The women's match was fun, and Gail actually showed more moves then a hurracanranna this week.

What was up with that weird corner bump that dude from La resistance took, that looked like that hurt.

The main event was good, though Michaels grabbing Maven smelled like a blown spot to me (I think Maven was supposed to tag out but didnt or forgot to)

All I gotta say about Kane and Shane....HOT NUTS!

A few thoughts:

What sick, twisted individual came up with the idea to put Jim Ross in a PPV match? And, with Coach and JR in the ring at the same time, who will announce said match, as the SD announcers won't be in the building.
RVD got more offense in last night than when they were building his PPV match. And, super bad-ass McMahon off-spring is a little ridiculous. Would have actually preferred if they had left him handcuffed for a few additionial segments, so the heels with matches could taunt him.
Of course, the questionable line of the night is the Jim Ross 'This is Medieval Torture' line. Last time I checked, they didn't have Batteries and Jumper Cables in the Middle Ages.
La Resistance/Dudleys and Test/Steiner continue their never ending angles.
Maven reminds me now of Pistol Pez Whatley. Unless, he changes his name to Shaska, I still won't care about him.
Jericho/Christian was match of the night. Could be good chemistry between those two if they want to extend this out a bit.
Have to admit, Trip gave one of the most honest promos in wrestling history. Every word (except those about himself), was absolutely true.
As for the main event, first, did anyone wonder when Maven was in the ring whether a theology debate would break out in one corner? And, at least they were smart enough to have Michaels in the ring for 95% of the time.

Oh SHIT you wieners are slipping?! You guys have mostly NICE things to say about HHH?! Baaaaaaaa.... But seriously, since the Bro did tape the show, I'll look at it later, for it's hard not to stay in the loop when something of THIS magnitude happens.

And tagged together against HHH just prior to that. I'm sure there were a few other occassions around that time. I may be wrong.
