This is gonna be the year, with the additions of the Peelster, and B-Rad Miller, theres no way the Kings are gonna get screwed out of the championship this year.
Window of oppertunity closed? My heart damn near stopped when I saw that, they were set to win the championship this year, the players knew it, the announcers knew it, and the Kings knew it. It was clear they were the best team in the NBA this year, if it wasn't for Webber getting hurt at the worst possible time of the whole fucking year, oh well, act of god I suppose.
Yes, because with Webber going down, the Kings felt they needed to step up and deliver a real team effort to choke.
"When this bogus term alternative rock was being thrown at every '70s retro rehash folk group, we were challenging people to new sonic ideas. If some little snotty anarchist with an Apple Mac and an attitude thinks he invented dance music and the big rock group is coming into his territory, [that's] ridiculous." - Bono, 1997
And to think that we thought this was the move that'd put the Kings over the top just three short days ago... then they follow it up with another blockbuster:
Tony Massenburg.
I can only assume CRZ's already prepping the Kings championship layout for the board.

I'M just wondering who they're going to make into Bobbleheads THIS year...
Unfortunately, I was not old enough when the Sonics won in 1979 but there was a really nice ceremony for him at KeyArena as well as the retirement of Spencer Haywood's #24. Too bad that may be the last number retired in Seattle...
