Terrible music. Nuff said. But if you like music that completely ignores melody and whose lead singer is the screechiest bitch in music, Hot Hot Heat is your thing.
It is the soldier not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press
It is the soldier not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech
It is the soldier not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate
It is the soldier not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial
It is the soldier, who saluted the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag -Anonymous

I have a feeling you're thinking of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
"George W. Bush is in the middle of his annual 35-day vacation. How many of you get a thirty-five day vacation every year? Yeah, see, that's because they need you at your job... Don't worry, George. Another seventeen months, and you're going to have the longest vacation of your life." ---David Letterman, The Late Show

Am I the only one who thinks Canadian music is just plain better than all other forms of music? (Other than Avril Lavigne, who's dragging us all down with her).
Your winner and 3-time Stanley Cup Champion...the New Jersey Devils! Their title defense begins in 4 months!

Even as a proud Canadian, I must admit that there is nothing better than a good ol' Britpop song...not pop Britpop, but stuff like Blur, Pulp, Manic Street Preachers, etc.
"When this bogus term alternative rock was being thrown at every '70s retro rehash folk group, we were challenging people to new sonic ideas. If some little snotty anarchist with an Apple Mac and an attitude thinks he invented dance music and the big rock group is coming into his territory, [that's] ridiculous." - Bono, 1997
