I used to, but I got tired of it.

First of all, if the implication of rape on a WWE show (given that the WWE "doesn't do rape") isn't enough to piss you off and get you going on a tantrum about Vince's morals, you obviously haven't had many girlfriends, or even one.
Although I haven't had many girlfriends, I don't think that my failure to get myself worked up over a perceived implication of rape on a WWE show necessarily establishes that causality.

The reason is because I haven't dated a woman who didn't have at least one experience with rape or been attacked by a man she trusted. It's more common than you think. It's enough to make you cry, but I guess that's not allowed with wrestling fans on the wienerboard. Insert wise-ass comment here.
You must be a real lady killer there, pal.

Hey, you ASKED for a wise-ass comment.

[snip]

I'll post a detailed rundown of my criticisms of the WWE product later, I don't care if you read it or not.
Is there a chance you could do that WITHOUT yelling at all us idiots watching the show? I mean, you've got some salient points worth discussing buried in amongst the hyperbole, things said a million times, and general self-aggrandizement but c'mon, you're all over the place. Bill O'Reilly? "Rape is serious, people?" C'mon.

Why is it that Rosey needs weeks and weeks of Super Hero Training, when Molly Holly just showed up in tights and a cape one day as "Mighty Molly"? Had she already been a S.H.I.T?

I think there is still lots of different things they could do with the Hurricane gimmick. They should do more with the "Hurricane and Gregory Helms, reporter, are two different people" storyline. Either play it straight or as a joke that everyone plays alongs with (like Mankind and Dude Love).

I didn't see most of the show, but did see the Kane/RVD vignette and thought it was very well done. I wasn't sure what was going to happen. Somehow NOT setting him on fire made Kane that much more evil. It came off with much more tension than the JR interview.

I also agree that HBK's superkick on HHH looked like it came out of NOWHERE. The look on Shawn's face after was like, "Yeah, I kicked him. Who's next?"

SummerSlam looks.....not good, but we'll see what happens.

I thought overall it was a pretty good show. Jericho was on tonight, and as someone pointed out, when he said "Sunday, your bald and Im the champ" cracked me up. I agree that they should have left Rosey in the background, but the scene still had me cracking up, it reminded me of Naked Gun, when Drebbin was trying to get the rare fish off his hand and ended up killing it. I watched football when the Bischoff/McMahon sketch started going south, and where exactly was Shane going? He was in Grand Rapids, MI, and his mom was in SC. I dont think he would get to her in time. I am also in the camp of what happened to Lance, what are the odds he shows up next week with a black eye, or Mae Young's phone #. Kane is starting to rival Jericho for Raw MWP, though he had problems with the matches, he is probably still giving children nightmares.

I agree, but it would be hilarious if they try and have Rosey do the alter ego as well, especially since, due to his size, you can have people not be fooled at all.

I was thoroughly entertained this week. Not sure it did anything to make we want to buy SS, but whatever.

I thought the Test/Steiner angle was incredibly well done. Even when they kept the cameras on him, a big part of me still thought he might be hurt. I enjoyed being fooled for once. It's kinda refreshing.

I also enjoy Bischoff's leacherous advances. Now he can brag to all his friends that he's made out with both McMahon women.

I noticed that Linda had a "WWF Attitude" mousepad.

I'm pretty sure Nash's long hair was extensions.

Random thoughts:

After watching Bischoff commit sexual assault on a talking totem pole, I wanted to carve my eyes out with an olive fork.

Jericho deserves time-and-a-half pay for his performance last night.

In 400 years, there will be nothing left on the North American continent besides burned-out buildings, cockroaches, and the ongoing Test-Steiner feud.

Rosey vs. the cat was hysterical. Rosey's match was passable. (First time I've seen a palm thrust like that in a while -- my first thought was "Is he doing a HEART PUNCH?")

I have no RAW reasons to watch Summerslam at this point. (Lesnar-Angle and the four-way are the potential saving graces.)

I also thought Test was really hurt, because of how he was acting frusterated and angry.

Jericho is awesome with his taunting of Nash.

I really liked Christian's pants this week, but I guess the sparkly purple part caught my eye more than the "W" at the top and bottom.

I know Kane is KRAZY and all, but I thought that was pretty stupid reasoning to end an otherwise creepy segment. "The fans want to see me burn you alive, RVD. So I'm not gonna. Ok, bye." Guh. Also, since RVD is "Mr. Shit On The Company" lately, I started wondering if there was a plan afoot to leave him handcuffed up there for a while after the segment was up. 2 smarky things that also bothered me about that segment: RVD could have easily spit out the towel stuffed into his mouth and for a guy whose offense is like 90% legs, he sure couldn't manage to kick Kane when he was about to be made into a human joint. (Though Kane may have cuffed his feet, who's to say?)

Really hope they address how the hell Bischoff let himself into Linda's house. And why she didn't just FIRE him for all of that crap...

Linda heel turn, baby! Triple H slipped Steph a mickey, married her, and "went off on the honeymoon"... and we all know how that turned out. Stephanie wasn't exactly broken up about it. And hey, isn't Bischoff, even with this latest story, still a better option than Vince? Linda acting all heelish would be pretty entertaining, yo.

Shane's immediate reaction after the break with him saying "MOTHER FUCKER!" was pretty funny.

1. the referee puts up the "X" symbol after Test falls down. and then on the way out Test big boots and pins steiner. we were shocked for at least a good 30 seconds going "what the hell?"

They KNOW that we KNOW. The "X" isn't even sacred anymore, you knew the jig was up when Doan did it so halfheartedly, and it just screamed out "angle" when the match was purposely never stopped.

I wonder what Victoria thinks of Steven Richards being with Test and Stacy.

Yeah man! Sunday he calls Victoria "flower", and now he's off getting a table show? Damnit, Stevie. I'd also say the same about Miss Jackie and Rico, but maybe it just means she's gone, and I'm ok with that.

Rosie's bumbling superhero act is ok, but it needs a bit more. He should have carried the girl up the tree to the cat, and then left both of them there.

Got a bad feeling that Storm ran into Terri in the women's dressing room and we're gonna get some stupid shit with Manic Depressive Goldust again. Hopefully it was just the Mae Young thing and Lance got the jibblies.

Rob Conway looks like a creepy alien dude. I was happy to see him turn instead of just ending up as Generic Military Face. Of all the storylines to get caught up in, though...

Overall, I thought this was one of the better Raws recently.

I thought it was a good show!
It had a lot going on. A lot of major happenings. Stacey is back with Test. Kevin Nash had his hair cut and got speared by Goldberg only to jack knife him near the end. Stone Cold was kicking butt again. Really an action packed night.
The whole Bishoff/ Linda segment was creepy and not a highlight but it was something that made the Shane vs Bishoff fued personal.
I thought it was a good job building to SummerSlam which I think will be a good show.
It always is and this year will be no different. Kane vs RVD should be good. Angle vs Lesnar should be great. the Elimination Chamber should be a fun main event, The 4 way for the US Title might steal the show.

and thats all i have to say about that!

I tell you, I enjoyed this Raw, but I must admit, I saw everything coming. When test went down I said to the Mrs - hey watch this guy get up from his bad injury and taek down the other guy - and when Bisch came into Linda's house, I just switched until the segment was done (and switched again a little later until it was really done). So I didn't see that segment at all. The Kane/RVD thing was cool and so was the schmozz at the end. The wife goes - hey, everybody's dead - it's my favorite RAW ever. And where did SCSA go?

I thought the Test fake injury thing was much more shocking when Victoria did it to Trish ... or, for that matter, when Rob Conway did it to Randy Orton on Velocity back in the day. I'm actually kinda happy that Conway is in with La Resistance, because from what I've seen of him -- well, okay, one whole match, but still -- he looks a whole lot better than Grenier.

I wonder if last night indicates that the big X has been retired as the "he's really hurt" sign, now that they clearly know fans know what it means. Just have to keep watching Nash matches and see if they use a new sign when another part of his leg falls off, I guess.

And after RVD's not-particularly-subtle airing of his complaints about the company, I was surprised that it sounded like J.R. was going out of his way to talk about how great RVD is during the Christian match. Usually he just throws out an "educated feet" and an "unpredictable" or maybe a "can hit you so many ways" and goes to talk about something else, but last night RVD was getting the good ol' J.R. Blowjob of the Week. A case of the squeaky wheel getting the grease, or just an attempt to hype interest in the RVD/Kane match? Probably the latter, given that WWE policy seems to be "The squeaky wheel gets stiffed by the Acolytes until it stops squeaking." Ah well, at least they seem to have put some thought into building heat for the RVD/Kane match this week, unlike last week.

Can't comment on the rape angle because I tuned the whole thing out the moment Bischoff showed up.

You WONDER? They made it blatantly obvious last night, I thought.

You know, almost *everything* seemed obvious last night. The Test injury, the "armed forces" guy turning on the Dudleyz, Bischoff (most definitely) in the house... At first I thought maybe I was just too old for this show but I'm pretty sure even the 12-year-olds would have gotten at least two out of three of those.

A few thoughts:

What mentally twisted individual thought it was a good idea to put Linda (I was Katie Vick's inspiration) McMahon in 4 segments? And yes, I agree that the Linda heel turn appears to be coming. Oh joy.
How come Kevin Nash wasn't a 'Bald Headed Geek' (trademark Paul Jones/Jimmy Valiant feud) by the end of the evening. The match stipulation was shaved bald. Have to say though, when he had the bleach job going, he looked like a taller Steiner.
When does Steiner's contract end so the Test/Steiner feud can finally end?
How could Trip lose in the 'Evolution' Chamber last year? Wouldn't that make it the De-evolution Chamber?
They've booked themselves into a hole with the Kane/RVD storyline. Kane needs to destroy RVD at SummerSlam to keep the monster angle going, but RVD has been beaten so badly by Kane in the build-up, that type of match could really bury him. And, why wasn't Austin sending people to try to rescue RVD from Kane? Have they already forgotten about Kane/Austin's hate/hate relationship?
Any hope of Jericho walking out of the Elimination Chamber with the belt died the instant he held the belt up to end the show.
And, why do i fear Mark Henry being on RAW next week managed by Teddy Long?

Ok, so Ted Williams is decapitated now? What will his son do next, sell him to the Japanese dog food company that bought former Kentucky Derby winner Ferdinand?

Well, I got all three, imagine my intelligence. I am none too pleased with last night's show. Not just on an entertainment level, but on a personal level. I have a separate thread on that, you'll see it. I was interested in Summerslam. This piss poor booking and buildup started off so stong, but they let it die. It didn't have to be this way either. If there were any highlights, they would be DustStorm and Jericho. By the end of the show, I was so miffed at what I saw, I wasn't even excited by Randy Orton's nipples... and that NEVER happens to me!

It could be worse... They never followed up the Stephanie-Bischoff kiss with much of a resolution.

Imagine a Stephanie vs. Linda war with Bischoff as the prize. Now try to get THAT image out of your head without surgery.

Indeed. As I watched the show, my most frequent comment was "too much suspension of disbelief required".

I felt as if the writers had broken a covenant with the fans -- we (fans) will pretend this stuff makes sense, as long as they (writers) come up with something that we can pretend makes sense.

I hope this will cost them money.

I told you Rosey would get over with the SHIT angle. House shows are also showing that the Goldust/Lance Storm pairing is working too.

And should the WWF do the right thing and give Jericho the title on Sunday... things just might start to look up.

I thought these split brand PPV's were going to be so good because it'd give weeks upon weeks of hype. Yet with like TWO MONTHS to build up their half of SummerSlam, RAW slapped things together in the last two weeks.

They must take the audience to be really idiots when they write in things like Bischoff saying, "Your son ... Shane McMahon." Oh I thought maybe Linda had a son named Shane Smith?? They always do things like that where they talk down to the audience.

And I haven't found Roise entertaining or funny at all.

Chris Jericho's celebration with the hair was the best thing on a lacklustre show. The best thing would have been if Shane was serious about his match with Bischoff at SummerSlam being off.

Ryback-Sheamus was a great match. They did a lot of moves that you wouldn't expect to see in a match like that in a slot on the card like that. Catching Sheamus and turning it into a powerbomb was very nice (not sure if they called it that)
