"I was flipping through the channels during a commercial break for RAW, and came across Celebrity Justice talking about Chyna (Joan Laurer) and Sean Waltman (X-Pac). They said that Chyna was abused by Waltman and he ripped out her hair. Chyna stated that X-Pac threatened to kill himself in the past and is terrified of what he might do. They then stated that Chyna's website has shut down, and her phone lines have been disconnected. Chyna has gone into hiding. It was a very odd, and scary story."

Damn, life outside the ring for wrestlers has become real shitty. This is a story I really was shocked to see, I wonder what happened to make Waltman want to try to kill himself.

It would explain Waltman's sudden disappearance off the face of the Earth. This is more than likely going to end up being the next big tragedy in wrestling. Waltman needs to get himself some help ASAP!

As for Joanie Laurer, she must be experiencing some kind of psychological breakdown, because I couldn't picture Waltman beating her the way Austin beat Debra. She's going through some psychological and emotional traumas of her own and her best bet would be to seek help.

Wow this is serious. I don't know what the hell is going on with her these days, but I hope she gets some help with whatever problems she has.

I actually feel bad for Joanie.

I guess that explains that crazy post on 1wrestling.com months ago detailing all the things that happened to Joanie.

Weird... I just saw something on E! yesterday about celebrity couples and Joanie and Sean were talking about how great things were and how much they were in love... wait, that's not weird... that happens to everyone... or maybe just me.

All they need is to add Buff Bagwell to their grouping, and they can become (far and away) the most pathetic group of individuals ever involved in pro wrestling.
And, does this mean they won't be appearing at Anna Nicole Smith's next Holiday Party?

What happened to Joannie? I mean, regardless of what you think of Joanie's in-ring ability, no woman deserves to get beat by her man. Unless they are into that kind of thing.

False, Joanie's down to like 115-120 at the last NWA-TNA show she appeared at, so it looks like he could beat her as Austin beat Debra.

Consider X-Pac added to my list of girl-beating fucks who I can never respect again, along with Austin and Luger. And I in-advance-no-sell anyone's indications that I don't know the specifics and should therefore reserve judgement. Beating a girl is beating a girl. However, before I completely dismiss Pac, I would like to hear this stuff from a more reliable source than "Celebrity Justice", a show which once tried to convince me Mya is hot.

here's more on the situation from the 411 via the Observer:

Celebrity Justice is reporting that Joanie Lauer (formerly Chyna) is in hiding from Sean Waltman (formerly X-Pac).

The story reported that on 08.01, she filed a restraining order against Waltman, after he had allegedly beaten her, put her in choke and nearly killed her in a fight.

Waltman apparently beat her throughout their relationship. He is said to have a history of threatening suicide and has a violent past.

Lauer's agent said she's disconnected all her phones, has moved, and is hdiing for fear of her life.

From I remember, I hear she cut her hair shorter, I think she had dyed it red as well and closed down her website without any prior notice or warning.

This is definitely a disturbing story. I always had a feeling Waltman had some issues. Never expected it to be this bad though.

Nuts. These things always happen to the people I least expect. Debra, Miss Elizabeth, and now Joanie. What is it about wrestling that screws up people's lives like this?

Too bad Celebrity Justice airs at 4:30 AM in my area. I would've wanted to see the lie detector test.

I'm surprised that Vince isn't introducing her as Mickie's lesbian ex-girlfriend. Not sure if that was a dead crowd tonite, or they just didn't have that much to cheer about.
