I dunno, but he's a guest on Byte This this afternoon.
I hope he is - I always thought they could do so much more with the guy than he did. He wasn't a great wrestler in the Chris Benoit sense, but he was usually entertaining and would make a great manager or color-commentator, if nothing else. (He couldn't do much worse than, well, pretty much everyone doing it right now, save Tazz and, occasionally, Jim Ross.)

I've been saying for a while that DDP would be great in the commentator role. Putting him in the same booth as Lawler and Ross could give those two a much-needed facelift (or they could simply keep Page on for the next time JR gets fired/suspended/injured/killed).
That said, I bet it leads to nothing. Probably just updating the world on his progress as a `motivational speaker' and `actor'.
Kain Interview: the first since he's been unmasked!!! Major changes to SummerShow main event!!! All this plus an interview with Kain in the latest Inside The Ropes!!!
I don't care for the idea of DDP as a commentator. Two hours of his gimmick once a week would get old real fast. He could be a great fit as a manager, either leading a couple of heels or for a group of new faces. But no, everything I've heard about Page since he got hurt seems to indicate that he's more interested in pursuing interests outside of wrestling than getting back in in a non-wrestling role.

DDP would probably work as a color guy in the booth. A three man team of JR/Page/Lawler seems like it'd self-destruct and become just one big clusterfuck with Page and Lawler fighting each other to get in their one-liners.
Well, Diamond Dallas Page is in one of the SlamBall commercials with Pat Croce, so perhaps he might be trying to take Foley's old 'Voice of Spike TV' job, which actually would be a good fit for him. As for being a color commentator, I can still vaguely remember him in that role in World Championship Wrestling in the early 1990's, and its not something that should re-occur. Perhaps using him as a manager for some of the newly arriving Ohio Valley Wrestling talent would be a better use for him.

They should replace The Cat with DDP. Hell, they could replace The Cat with Teri and it would be an improvement. (I was about to say 'with anybody' and realized that not even The Cat would be as bad as Torrie Wilson on commentary.) But I could possibly see Josh Matthews and DDP clicking, if DDP followed Tazz's lead and went with a toned down, laid back version of his gimmick.
That being said, they'd probably use him as the manager of a new Fabulous Freebirds. Terry Gordy has a son wrestling, how about Michael Hayes or Buddy Roberts? (Is Michael Hayes still employeed by the WWE?)

I believe Hayes is on the Raw writing team.
In terms of DDP, I think he's a guy that got the most mileage out of the least talent, in terms of wrestling ability. If there was a place for Roddy Piper, I'm sure there's a place for DDP in WWE. But BigVitoMark is on target saying he is more interested in outside projects. I remember hearing him in an interview about how he and Kimberly moved to Hollywood to pursue acting careers.

I didn`t realize it until last night when I saw that ad, but it`s really weird that those two are paired up now. I remember when DDP debuted his heel motivational speaker gimmick, the first thing I thought of was, "He`s going to be like an evil Pat Croce!"
