What's the deal with not naming the city just the province? If you’re not in the main city of a province (ie Vancouver BC) they rather not say are doing shows in more B-cites. They did the same thing while in Ontario calling London (I think it was) just Ontario, Canada.

-Eddie vs. Benoit- Canadian fans were so into Benoit. Trading wrestling moves plenty. Run-ins from all direction. The Sarge books a match, he's got authority baby.

-Benoit/Tajiri vs. Eddie/Rhyno- Lots of working over Tajiri. Tajiri hits(kinda) a forward headscissors. Hot tag on Benoit, back and forth action with a hot crowd. Ending with Eddie eating some crossface... Great first half hour for Smackdown.

-Nunzio vs. Gowen- I thought sources in the back said all FBI members are in OVW. Zach ones again impresses me. My Gawd that moonsault while Nunzio was hanging off the ropes was amazing. Twist of Fate looks double nasty done on Zach... For me Gowen looks like he belonged in there, sure the other cruisers have to hold up a tad but I think Zach brings a lot more good then bad to the table, and I don't find his matches to be that unbelievable. And for the people who think it's bad for Nunzio, well that's the most interesting & enjoyable thing I've seen Nunzio involved since his debut.

-Cena vs. Undertaker- I usually like longer matches, but 20 minutes of this was painful. How slow was this. First half was ALL Undertaker, just beating Cena around. And Cena got an advantage when Under hurt HIMSELF with a superplex(even though the move looked impressive). Ad break and then the match was more even. Albert interferes, Cena adds the FU (F Undertaker indeed)... This match just didn't go, Taker looked like a cat playing with a ball of yarn with Cena. I think Taker can wrestle and take the effort to make his opponent look nice and even (ie Brock) but when he doesn't feel it we have this sort of match.

-Noble v. Doug Basham- I know it's Doug cause he's the wacky one, or is that the other one? Personally I don't care because they have done nothing to distinguish the individuals, hell they did nothing to make me interested in the team. I'm just taking the word of the posters before me... Noble was the face, I guess. 4 minute match that didn't do much. Well Nidia looked nice last night, at least we had that.

-Haas vs. Mysterio- Kidmans at his Honeymoon, WHERE ARE THE CAMERA's. This is sports entertainment doesn’t the camera's follow every superstar everywhere he goes. Why mention his Honeymoon? Odd... Onto the match. I really enjoyed it, they mixed well together. Rey flying around, Haas being more technical, nice blend. That Haas Of Pain submission especially on Mysterio last night looked brutally painful.

-Vince vs. Lesner- Another McMahon main event, and like RAW another non-match. Lesner pass out really effected the person I was watching with. She said "Oh my god, that man ain't well, he just passed out. What happened!" Fooled her. Lesner jumped up and attacked Angle the beat down seemed to go on and on. If they turned Lesner I'd like to build the jealousy angle I bit longer then a week after losing the title, but ah well.

-Other stuff- Not much going on backstage (not necessary a bad thing) instead of the Angle as ref drama and Taker yelling at Vince. Angle did have a great line, which brings me to...

Line of the Night: Angle "Lesner is still my friend. A big stupid friend, but a friend nonetheless." LoL, classic Kurt, great line!
3Stars of the Night: 1)Haas. 2)Gowen. 3)Benoit

Great Solid show, first 45 minutes was fantastic. It had the U.S title guys and can't go wrong with that. And Zach/Nunzio was fantastic as well. It took a dip during the Taker/Cena marathon and Noble/Basham because I just didn't get it... But it turned good again with Rey/Haas. Most entertaining 2 hours of SD in a long time without the need of the Garbage segment that I usually have to sit through during a SD broadcast.

A few things I notices about Smackdown! this week:

The lowrider Eddy brought to the ring had BC plates on it. Who in Kelowna is cool enough to own a Lowrider? I thought it was a backwards hick town! (I say that to piss off a friend of mine who spent time out there)

Charlie's "Haas of Pain" that he put on Rey looked really, really painful. OUCH. Moves like the half crab look like pussy moves, but the HoP looked harsh. Ouch.

When will someone be able to establish themselves as a "monster heel" without the assistance of a McMahon? Kane beats up Shane, he's a monster heel. Brock assists Vince, he's a monster heel. Geez.

Wrestlingheadlines.com placed a recap of the show that was erroneous, the link is here and they have the end of the Brock/McMahon match all wrong, and I don't know whether it was Canada's "The Score" feed that missed it, but I don't remember there ever being a Sable promo about becoming the GM.

Normally WrestlingHeadlines is a decent site for the news, but come on...that's bogus.

Oh well...just what I noticed.

true, but while it isn't aesthetically pleasing the 1/2 crab is mega painful. I did like the rack to backbreaker by Haas.

Benoit-Eddie, and Benoit/Tajiri-Eddie/Rhyno were equally good.

Angle's comment on Justin Timberlake was hilarious.

Tossup: Who's a worse commentator, Shannon Moore or The Cat.

Another good rap by Cena. Anyone notice that at the end of Cena's rap, they must've edited the crowd noise. Cena-Taker was alright except for Taker completely dominating Cena for 1/2 the match.

I'm happy Lesnar's a heel again. I just hope Vince doesn't take any heat away from Brock. I think it is going to be Angle-Lesnar at Summerslam.

Overall, Smackdown was very good.

Well, it was made for the MTV/ADHD generation where people get bored after 2 minutes. But, it had Matt Classic, therefor it was awesome. I don't think it was ever meant to be taken as a serious wrestling fed.
