Here's another thing to think about. Jericho's Highlight Reel is doing a good job of putting over other wrestlers and feuds. If he becomes World Champion then he'll need all that interview time to put himself over rather than do the Highlight Reel.

I actually missed the last Survivor Series as part of my continued streak of not buying any WWE pay per views (nothing since Wrestlemania 18). What, exactly, does the Elimination Chamber look like? From what I saw of the original design, I gather it looks a bit like the Hell in the Cell except with a domed roof and cages on the inside for each wrestler.

The EC is its own beast entirely. I like it a lot.

It's basically a round, plexiglass cage with chambers for the individual wrestlers. The chambers are on the same level as the ring and the extra space between the wrestling ring and the plexiglass is black steel. So it extends the apron area several feet.

The roof is a bunch of chains and is mostly for show. When RVD climbed on top one of the chambers for his ill-fated frog splash, he had to duck quite a bit and used the chains to steady himself before taking off. That gives you a general idea of the height.

When it's time for a new participant to enter they cut to an overhead camera shot. They light up each chamber seemingly at random (repeatedly) before one door opens and the guy realizes it's his turn to beat some ass. I think they even play some kind of sound effect as the person is "randomly" chosen, adding to the demented game show effect.

The plexiglass chambers add to the drama. I don't remember who was involved, but there was at least one spot at Survivor Series where someone bashed another guy into one of the chambers to taunt the guy actually inside the chamber. I guess it would be one of the usual "manager in a cage" gags but it adds to the match. They bill the plexiglass as bullet proof but of course someone got thrown through it.

The tops of the chambers are also open. I can only remember RVD going up top so someone must have been grabbing at his feet when he was up there. It was one of those unique "little things" I dig so much.

All in all I'm excited about the match. I really liked the first one and cursed a lot when the VCR didn't record it. It's unique, modern and brutal. Hopefully they put the time in to create a match that plays to the EC.

I hope they redesign it a bit. There were too many architectural flaws to have a great match in it, for example the amount of space above the glass holding cells and below the ceiling. Not enough room to stand, thus, people take awkward jumps and crush other people's throats. Not a good thing.

Though I can't imagine renovating that heap is on WWE's to-do-list, being that it was a $500 000 investment the first time around.

I don't know if the 'hypocrite' stamp can be placed if Nash wins, because the vast majority on the board were against even the notion of him getting the belt during his spring feud with Trip, and the Disappointment getting the belt will be criticized because a segment (of which I definately am one) of people on the board think he will be a disaster as champ and never should have been signed in the first place.

NO SHIT? Oh, well that makes it all right then! I eagerly await your equally obvious and vapid reason for constantly saying "Flex" instead of "Rock" not to mention "Peg Legged" instead of "Zach Gowen."

I think the only champion that can win and escape the wrath of the internet at large is Chris Jericho.

If Goldberg wins, there's still a segment of people that don't like him, and that's always been the case. And also the notion that he could be gone from WWE in a year and doesn't work house shows also factors in.

Nash: Well, yeah. I shouldn't have to go into that one.

HBK didn't really hit it off last year when he won (because we all knew how long he'd last) and he's an older superstar now, so people would bitch about seeing it on someone young...

Orton: ...but, not that young.

Okay, maybe I was harsh on that last post, but I've been scouring other wrestling sites and boards, and it's annoying how they go from one extreme to another in a blink of an eye, then acting as if they never felt the other way to begin with. I keep things in perspective for as long as humanly possible, though it's not always easy of course. If I pissed off some of you, sorry about that, but I had to get that off my shoulders.

I say Jericho wins. He is the best choice and the IWC would approve of him most. Nash is old and very beat up. IMHO, HBK has essentially lost his charisma, unless he becomes the cocky Heart Break Kid. Orton is too green and not over enough. As much as RVD is talented in the ring, he has no solid character and I wouldn't put the belt on him yet. Triple H needs to lose the title. Goldberg doesn't deserve the title yet, until he improves his backstage attitude. Not a leader.

Jericho would be readily available to work most house show dates. I really hope he wins.

The WWE might consider doing some of these too:

*Triple H will not be pinned and will not tap out. Ric Flair will throw in the towel for him or he will "pass out".

*Dissension within Evolution could occur if Orton refuses to lie down for Triple H

*Kane will somehow get involved in the match. He might tear down the cage door and beat the living hell out of RVD

Just a few theories

1) If this happens, I will officially give up on WWE. HHH is not enough of a god that he needs to be protected to that extent.

2) This is the most likely scenario...I'll go so far as to say that either Orton will lead to HHH being eliminated, or vice versa

3) RVD is in this match?

Personally? I think HHH will be abducted by aliens just before coming out to the EC match. The match will go on as scheduled until Goldberg and Jericho do a double KO spot at the end, when HHH will be beamed down, unconscious, on top of them both, thus winning the match without even participating.

Or one of the other things people've said. Maybe.

GOOD. I'm glad that people backstage are as sick of the Clique's games as we are. Added bonus: If creative decides to go with Jericho, Vince will probably have to go along with it (or anything else creative decides) because of all the flak Vince took for the Cena/UT thing. The match of as monday was Goldberg/HHH/HBK/Y2j/Nash/Orton.
The match as of now is Goldberg/HHH/HBK/Y2j/Nash/Orton.

Flair and RVD are not in it. Some of you are confusing me by adding more superstars. Every other time I come in this thread I think I have to go check the news and rumor sites.

I like Y2j winning or Trips keeping it because I don't believe the others would be good champs at this time.

Creative works for Vince, not the other way around. And, in the mind of Vincent Kennedy McMahon, the negative publicity he would get for going against creative would be a positive, as it would be publicity.

I wish to the almighty beholder that Jericho wins but we all know he wont. He's talented, he's charismatic, he's over, he's canadian and we know WWE hates talented canadians.

my bet is Goldberg wins

What's David Arquette doing these days ?

Is it to late to make it a 7 man Elimination Chamber Match ?

Well you are. Hardy was doing swantons off of ladders two years ago it was okay I guess because he wasn't a druggie right? lol. Not that I'm saying that he should be doing swantons off of cages either.
