From this article on PS2 rumours (ps2.ign.com):

WWE Raw Goes Multiplatform

For one brief shining moment an insider with sometimes-accurate knowledge of THQ-related happenings told us something rather interesting: WWE Raw 3 could be available on all systems by sometime in late 2004. Laughing it off as nothing more than a wives tale, we went on about our business and never gave the notion a second thought. As time went on, however, and the sales of Wrestlemania X-8 on GameCube dwindled and the pre-release hype for the Xbox-only WWE Raw 2 plateaued before its time, it got us to thinking. What if this person was telling the truth?

So we did some digging, and after speaking with our source a second time and learning even more about the situation, it's becoming more and more clear; Smackdown 6 could end up becoming the only console-exclusive wrestling game for all of 2004. From what we pieced together, THQ is heavily considering dropping Yukes from the Wrestlemania project in order to give its full attention to the Smackdown franchise. Raw developer Anchor, Inc. would then expand its focus to include all home console systems including discs for the PC. The release schedule would then see Raw moved to a June release with the PS2-exclusive Smackdown released that same December.

IGNPS2 contacted THQ for comment and was met with very simple "We have no comment at this time" reply. Yes boys and girls, let the speculation begin!

Wouldn't it make more sense to make the better-established and higher caliber Smackdown series multiplatform? Just saying...

Not to mention that a lot of the features that make RAW stand out are only going to work on the X-Box.

Ah well, if WM19 sucks, I'll just be thankful for Def Jam

Of course, I'm already thankful for Def Jam.

maybe it's just me, but ever since i can remember, starting from the time of the ps1 and n64, all of the raw games have totally sucked. and on top of that, they've paled in comparison to the thq wcw games (world tour, revenge) and the wwf ones (wmania 2000, no mercy). and i haven't played it yet, but a lot of my friends have told me that the xbox version of raw (aside from the graphics) is a total piece of crap anyway. any truth to this?

it says so right here in the wcw handbook!

Other than the 16 bit RAW, the only RAW title that has come out was for the XBox.

You may wanna say they paled in comparison to most THQ WCW games (unless you intended on including WCW Nitro and WCW thunder)

i could have sworn there were at least a few "raw is war" or "warzone" video games produced by non-THQ companies for the playstation and n64. because didn't the playstation have that ridiculously ugly game where everybody ran with their hands and fingers straight at attention and the moves were difficult as hell to do?

or am i misreading this and are the ps1 and n64 16-bit machines? i didn't think they were, but correct me if i'm wrong.

You're not misreading, and I completely forgot about Warzone for the PS1, but I've always seen the name "Warzone" as a thing the WWF used to seperate its Monday night show into two, it's always just been a 2 hour Raw to me. Besides, when Warzone came out, it was the best thing going for a bit on the PS.

Yeah. THQ made the Raw game for the XBox. Acclaim made the early WWF games for the PSX and N64, which at the time, were good. They did, however, suck in comparison to the gameplay of WCW/NWO World Tour and Revenge.

Come on, Warzone was how a control method should be implemented. Remembering button combo's for the heavy moves and finishers. That way they were easier to avoid/get a quick jab in. OK ,this did encourage Super Turtle Defense (TM) but it was, and still is, a good control method...
