the WWE has done much better lately at having one RAW lead to the next. they have had something match wise and soething mystery wise that has kept the viewers tuning in lately.
Next monday has Goldberg vs. Flair which should be a fun match but I guess the biggest mystery is what is the condition of Triple H.
I'm sure the WWE wishes they didn't have to deal this one but it should make for a suspenseful road to Summerslam.
I guess we now have to wonder when Goldberg takes the title and not if.

At this point I think it's definitely a matter of "when not if." I'm not a big supporter of giving Bill the belt (and thereby being the only guy who has what it takes to beat Trips) but this seems to be the direction they're going.

I don't think the "big mystery" is on Hunter's injury though. Since we're looking at the show from a strictly story line point of view, we can't look backstage for next week's drama. The mystery is on the fall out of Kane and Shane. It's the "what will happen next?" part of the show.

I agree with Notorious. Only net people actually know about Trips re-aggravation of the injury, as the match was not on TV, it was after the cameras stopped rolling. I think people want to know what Kane will do to Shane after this assault. Will he challenge him to a match? Will he destroy him that night? Will he ignore him completely and continue beating up who he feels like? It is a very interesting story and things seem to be getting very interesting. If they play this right, they can get a good story leading to a match people will want to see at the PPV.

I agree KANE has been well done. The angle has rejuvenated a all time great WWE character. His new persona also leaves endless stories and angles they can do.
I also expect something big this week in the KANE & SHANE saga.
I think with WWE.com repoprting the injury the story has gotten out there and people will also want to see what is going to become of HHH.
But you're right that the KANE story will be the big draw. I'm also looking forward to Goldberg squashing Flair.
But what happens if HHH said, "Goldberg, why wait for Summerslam when I could kick your ass tonight??"
Goldberg of course accepts and spear, jackhammer & new champion only to have someone else attack Goldberg changing Summerslam altogether.
Maybe not but it's fun to dream.

If they have to switch the title before Summerslam, I bet Goldberg defends against Kane.

But what happens if HHH said, "Goldberg, why wait for Summerslam when I could kick your ass tonight??"
Goldberg of course accepts and spear, jackhammer & new champion only to have someone else attack Goldberg changing Summerslam altogether.

The only problem with this is that HHH already established last week that he's waiting for the big PPV payoff and won't fight Goldberg until then.

All right, I'm enjoying Rhyno's "man-beast" gimmick: He keeps his hair long, wears full-body wrestling tights with a big "R" on the back and uses the "Rhino Gore" as his finishing move. Can't you imagine him watching the Discovery Channel one day while tossing around possible gimmicks and having one of those "Hey, wait a second!" epiphanies during a rhino segment?

To spruce things up, the WWF should give Undertaker and Kane last names -- like Undertaker and Kane O'Brien, the O'Brien Brothers -- just for comedy's sake. Hopefully the door's still open.

RVD is approaching the always-exciting "The crowd loves him, but he's not getting a major push yet" phase which helps makes wrestling so much fun. It only happens once every few years -- Stone Cold in '96, The Rock in '98, Shawn Michaels in '93 and so on. -- ESPN's Bill Simmons back in 2001

I don't think there's any way Kane would face Goldberg in that slot at SummerSlam. Once Kane loses, his new monster persona takes a decent sized hit, so I'm predicting we won't see that for quite a while. Kane has some babyfaces to squash first. No, if SS does get changed and Goldberg goes in as champ, I think his match will become second fiddle to the Lesnar-Angle rematch. In that case, he'll face a throwaway challenger that no one really expects to beat him, and I figure that'd be Chris Jericho.

If Goldberg gets the belt Jericho & Kane would probably be saved for later.
Some sites were reporting the plan was to give Goldberg a short run with the belt and then give it to Jericho.
Who would Goldberg face if it wasn't Kane or Jericho?
I think they would have to put someone with instant credibility in that spot.
You know reports had the Rock showing up on Raw this week.
Rock gets his rematch against Goldberg with the belt on the line might be fun.
Who knows?

With all the positive reaction this show received I ordered my first TNA show. I was pleasantly surprised with how well this show delivered from top to bottom.
