After admitting I don't mind Justin Timberlake in another thread (Click Here (wienerboard.com)), I need more people to admit their shame to make me better.

Other guilty pleasures....Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson (I must've heard Miss Independant about ten times before I found out it was her...I feel dirty), and Prozzak, a Canadian cartoon band. I even bought their first album.

All right, I'm enjoying Rhyno's "man-beast" gimmick: He keeps his hair long, wears full-body wrestling tights with a big "R" on the back and uses the "Rhino Gore" as his finishing move. Can't you imagine him watching the Discovery Channel one day while tossing around possible gimmicks and having one of those "Hey, wait a second!" epiphanies during a rhino segment?

To spruce things up, the WWF should give Undertaker and Kane last names -- like Undertaker and Kane O'Brien, the O'Brien Brothers -- just for comedy's sake. Hopefully the door's still open.

RVD is approaching the always-exciting "The crowd loves him, but he's not getting a major push yet" phase which helps makes wrestling so much fun. It only happens once every few years -- Stone Cold in '96, The Rock in '98, Shawn Michaels in '93 and so on. -- ESPN's Bill Simmons back in 2001

Hey, Prozzak rocked. Back when we still had MuchMusic, they were on all the time, especially Sucks To Be You. They totally paved the way for the Gorillaz.

That new Beyonce song got me, too.

Haha Prozzak, the blonde cartoon guy with the guitar reminded me of slighty jacked up Jeff Jarrett... But no can't say I got any pleasure out of these guys, unless annoyance has become a plesure LoL

As for guilty pleasures, I like Kylie Minogue, I mean I really LIKE her!. Every single she put out in the "fever" CD I really liked each one better then the last... I also think Shania Twain is pretty good as well.

Some of the Justin songs are good only because the Neptunes produced them.

That new Beyonce song is also alright.

As for others, Avril, I guess.

I think this would be the right place to say I enjoy Michelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton more than I rightly should.

And there's no need to be guilty about the new Beyonce song. The hook on that thing is just hotter than hot, and anyone with any groove in them ought to dig it.

First of all, Prozzak didn't pave the way for anybody. It's cool that they're a guilty pleasure and all, but the music was sorely lacking in originality. Anyone can flick the switch on a drum machine and play one guitar riff over and over.

That said, my guilty pleasures are Janet Jackson and Our Lady Peace.

I have a love for Sophie Ellis-Bextor (not sure if she is known in the US). While people find this strange considering my other tastes, I do plead that I fell in love with her 6 years ago when I saw her play with her band, theaudience.

I often find myself jamming along to whatever is playing on the 80s-pop station, then turning it down really quickly when I get to a red light.

And, NO ONE is allowed to dis the Beyoncé song, although I think she's trying too hard to look all "serious-sexy" in the video, when she's already smokin' just being herself. She loses points for banging Jay-Z though.

I'm completely in love with Michelle Branch and have greatly enjoyed everything she's ever done.

I get a kick out of Boyz II Men stuff from the early 90s as well. (Their last CD was just bad, though.)

EDIT: I also get a huge charge out of that Junior Senior song, even though I don't think I'm *supposed* to like anything but the video.

EDIT II: Oh, and the Dixie Chicks! Thank god for that "scandal" because now I finally have an excuse for liking them. "Purely political motivations, mind you". Yeah, right...

I remember Prozzak was ruined for me when the actual singers performed live on the Juno Awards a couple of years back.

I always thought Hanson's "Mmmm... Bop" was one of the most underrated pop songs of the last few years.

Ehehehehe... Prozzak. I'll admit, "Sucks To Be You" was pretty damn good.

And can you really call Nelly Furtado a guilty pleasure? Bought the CD, and it's decent. Michelle Branch isn't there yet, but I respect her. And I'll throw myself in the Kylie Minogue camp--but only the material I've heard off of Fever. I might almost have to (gasp) BUY IT. (Used, of course.) Oh, Justin Timberlake, too. And to think we said nothing good could come out of N*SYNC.

The best thing Kylie's ever been involved in is that video for 'Come Into My World,' where the image keeps repeating/overlapping itself as she walks down the street. That's some funky editing.

A few months ago, I bought 4 CDs in a period of about 2 weeks. (Which isn't all that much but it's quite a bit with my current financial situation.) Of those 4 CDs, 3 of them were by 3 of my top 10 favourite artists (Everclear, Jewel and The White Stripes.) The 4th ended up being my favourite of those 4 albums... it was Christina Aguilera's Stripped.

And Vanessa Carlton should not be considered a guilty pleasure. Sure, the 2 songs that get radio play are fluffy pop crap, but they're the exception. Some of the songs on that album (especially the last 3 songs, starting with the Paint It Black cover) are some of the darkest shit I've heard in a long time.

The Backstreet Boys were always above NSYNC in my mind, and BSB is a true guilty pleasure for me (especially the Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely song).

EDIT- Show, not Tell.

Molly, Stacy and Daffney all in WWE? I suddenly lost all my will to complain about anything regarding the WWE. Hope I don't lose my street cred for this.

I always liked *NSync better, because they looked like they are always having fun and they got more funky than the Backstreet Boys ever did. (Did I just say that out loud?)

Also, my super-ultra-guilty-pleasure song that I had completely forgotten about is the song by (shhhh) J. Lo that goes "come on DJ play that sooong, just turn it up and turn it on". One time I was at a trade show with a bunch of guys working on a booth installation and it started playing from the radio that was in the booth. I've never had to try so hard to not head-bob along with the beat in all my life. Of course, I probably wasn't the only one.

And I will admit to liking some of Mrs. JJD's country CD's, but only the girl ones. (Shania, Faith, Martina, etc.) I'd rather chew off my own ears than listen to a country song sung by a guy, EVER.

I can say i'm a pretty big Michelle Branch fan. I don't feel guilty about it though since she's just extremely cute and has some talent. Same with Vanessa Carlton. And I agree with InVerse, Vanessa Carlton's album is some good stuff. I misjudged her in the beginning but she's also got some skills.

I would have to say my guilty pleasure of the moment is Evanescence. *begins to duck the vegitables being thrown* "Bring Me to Life" is a good song that was ruined by the inclusion of Paul McCoy that gave them this whole Linkin Park with a girl vibe. But the rest of the album is so much better than that with Amy Lee's vocal range that can go from haunting whispers to great belting of emotions. The band as a whole can rock pretty hard. Maybe it's just one of those fads that'll pass, but i'm really digging it at the moment.

Eh... Evanescence is starting to fall into that whole DMB "I don't mind the band, but their obsessive and overly vocal fans must DIE" camp. Maybe it's just seeing entirely too many poorly-made Amy Lee LJ icons.

I hate to admit it but I never change the channel when Lisa Marie Presley's first video comes on - something fascinates me about watching her try and channel her father - I am sure that the illusion would have been shattered had I bothered to watch any of the NBA Finals Halftime show she "performed" on

Sheryl Crow and the Chicago Soundtrack somehow sneak into my CD player every once in a while too
