The man who leaped tall opponents at the 2000 Games is back in red, white and blue. That's right: Vince Carter will replace the injured Kobe Bryant on the U.S. roster for the Olympic qualifying tournament in Puerto Rico.
Yeah, that's the ONLY reason why Kobe is not on the team; because he's injured ... sure.
The bigger joke is that Vince Carter is on the team. What has he done the past 2 seasons except be injured and have his team achieve its only success when he was not playing?
Will the woman who left her nine infants at Shea Stadium, please pick them up. They already scored six in the first off Tom Glavine, and know more letters of the alphabet than John Franco.

Well, he did dunk over that French guy. But that's about it.
"So you're Ben Affleck. You're sitting next to Jennifer Lopez, who's your fiancee, you're eating a eight-foot high sundae, and members of the Boston Red Sox are coming up to you and asking for autographs. If that's not heaven, what is?" - Tony Kornheiser, PTI
Actually, Kobe is only officially out of the qualifying tournament. Assuming that the US qualifies, Kobe will play in the Olympics, unless of course he is starring in his own version of Oz.
In my (unbiased, of course) opinion, Memorial Gym (Vandy) ranks right up there, but shortly behind Rupp and Bud Walton Arenas. When Memorial is rockin' with 14,000+, that place is as loud as anywhere.
