By the way, Storm's gimmick includes 1.) telling the audience to shut up, and 2.) occasionally making everyone stand for the Canadian national anthem. You know they don't know what to do with a wrestler when he's making fans stand for a national anthem. It's like waving a white flag and saying, "This guy has no personality -- we give up."
If you watch closely during the end of the clip, Rocky delivers a Rock Bottom to somebody. Just felt like pointing that out.
Christopher Walken is a spectacular actor, but he needs to be more menacing than this clip showed. Sean Williams Scott schould be pretty good, but he might not know where to stand on the serious/comedic line.

"I do have a degree in electrical engineering... from almost 20 years ago. Punchcard systems were just becoming obsolete, we had rotary phones in the dorms, and a modem was still a gizmo the size of a shoebox into which you squooshed the phone receiver itself. In short, we lived like animals.
The instant obsolesence is why I became a writer. The rate of punctuation in a sentence doesn't double every 18 friggin' months, and you never have some 22-year-old looming over your shoulder, shaking his head, saying "dude... you're still using adverbs...?"
I don't know, I thought it looked okay. And when I say "okay," I mean just as good as most of the crap that's being foisted off on us this summer.
If it's funny, it could be a sleeper hit, sort of like "Money Talks" was for Chris Tucker. If Rock's humor translates well in this movie, he could be off to the races.

Man, someday I'm going to agree with the general consensus here about something... I saw this trailer before Bad Boys II last night, and it stuck in my mind a lot more than the movie I actually paid to see. You all know from my posts about wrestling that I'm pretty easy to entertain, but that trailer really did it for me. I think that The Rock's charisma really shines through--better than in his Scorpion King roles, anyway. The character is closer to the Rock, aka "Dwayne Johnson with the volume cranked to 11". Well, I'm looking forward to it, and I doubt it will make $1.98 and push the Rock back to wrestling full time, or anything. Hey, if a pirate movie can make good box office, then who knows?

There was suppose to be a meeting before Raw a few weeks ago. It was delayed and rescheduled but I haven't heard anything about it. Did it happen? Was it a red herring?
