It's Saturday. What does that mean, you ask? Easy, Baseball and Beer day for yours truly. And on this sacred day, I woke up wondering...what do my fellow Wiener's drink, when there drinking BEER? I don't care if it's an import or a cheapy, tell me wieners, what ya drinking? For me, well, my fridge is always occupied by one of these yeasty delights:
1. Natural Light - what can i say, I'm a cheapskate! Actually, it's a pretty tasty beer, and light on the carbs. I might be a drunk, but I try to take care of myself !
2. Miller light - lots of great memories from my college days.
3. Icehouse - I lived a year in Florida, and at that point in time, EVERYONE was drinking Icehouse or...
4. Red Dog. Not only is it a tasty treat, there are fun facts on each beer cap. NICE!
5. Molson Ice - When your in the need for a knock down, kick your ass type of beer... Ice is the choice. Only surpassed in awesomeness by it's big brother, Molson Triple X ... but you have to go to Canada to pick that baby up (atleast I think...anyone have a store that stocks this bad boy?)
We'll eventually need DEAN'S input in this thread...
1) Keith's India Pale Ale - Brewed in my hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and available throughout Canada. Not sure if it's in the States...at least I've never seen it down soouth.
2) Rolling Rock - I fell in love with the 33 while living in Maine back in '92. I make frequent trips down to Montana to stock up on it.
3) Red Stripe - The ultimate summer beer, or when sitting poolside in Vegas. Got to love this while working on a cruise ship...it was sold for 25 cents in the crew bar, and who doesn't love the stubby bottle?
4) Kokanee - It's the beer out here. Brewed in British Columbia by 75 people who care. Slowly making its way east.
5) Virtually any microbrew - Not that I'm a "beer snob" or anything...I just like them. Portland, Maine has (or 'had," I haven't been there in years) some amazing brew pubs. Nothing beats a Bar Harbor blueberry ale at the Great Lost Bear in Portland (pieman might back me up on this.)
If memory serves me right, Rolling Rock was a fav. in florida as well. It's an interesting beer. A very unique taste, if you ask me.
When i was in college (Western Michigan University, for those who care) Red Stripe was a popular choice as well. Now, I never drank any, but remember it being a heavy beer, is that correct?
I love the term "beer snob"! I really don't think there's such a thing. There's so many great beers out there, it's great that everyone can find that "one" great beer. though, i will now tell you the WORST beer in the world....not totally sure if this is how you spell it, or what not ...
3-Shipyard (any brand except for one I can't remember..blue label..takes like sourdough...bleh.
4-Typically, any draft beer in between rounds of golf.
OOPS! You bwoke it.

Absolutely NOTHING important happens on the internet
Having lived in Wisconsin for seven years, I had no choice but to become a beer snob. And the best fine Wisconsin brew, IMHO, is a little ol' beer called Leinenkugels. Original, not Leinie's Red.
Unfortunately, you can't get it in New York, or really anywhere on the Eastern seaboard north of Maryland. It was a hard choice to live in New York. When I'm outside of the Northeast I call up the regional distributer (you can check out who it is on their website, www.leinies.com) and ask where the nearest store that sells it is. I haven't been able to convince then to bring it to New York. Yet.
So in the meantime I try to drink various different stuff.
The best "Big Name" brew: Miller High Life. Coors is the worst.

Would this thread include any of those quasi-beer like things being put out by Bacardi/Smirnoff/etc.? Because if it does, I have to say that the Bacardi Silver O is quite the swank little drink.
1- Corona Extra with some lime juice. hoo ha!! 2- MGD works the same. 3- Trader Joe's carries some pretty good beers...I never know the names but they're cheap and can easily compete with name brands.
Budweiser Tsingtao Sapporo Heineken Killian's Irish Red Samuel Adams Fat Tire Asahi Great Divide Raspberry Ale (I think this one's exclusive to Denver. . .not sure though) Corona Extra Singha

OH HELL YEAH. Hell, back in the day, an indy promoter and I stopped at the Leinie's Lodge (of which he's a member) on the way to Minneapolis for a Nitro. Sadly, she was closed that day...*sniff* But yeah, Leinie's=Wisconsin beer goodness. And as for High Life...I'm drinking one right now.

PBR has been a mainstay in my day. I give you bonus points for naming thee!
Allow me to also bow for a mention of Pabst Blue Ribbon. When I was a kid, PBR and Old Style were the only two beers anybody ever drank at Lambeau Field. Now they've pretty much gone the way of Schlitz and Blatz (although I know a rural bar in WI that sells Blatz for $1 a bottle. Mmmm...)
Honorable non-Badger beer mention: Labatt's Blue. Annoying bear commercials aside, an awesome indy heel manager turned me on to that. Good Canuck stuff.
Star wipe, and...we're out. Thrillin' ain't easy. . . THE THRILL ACW-NWA Wisconsin Home Video Technical Director...& A2NWO 4 Life!
I was surprised to see PBR mentioned(maybe you all are just fond of your high school days), but when I saw Singha, I nearly fell out of my seat! At least it's better than Beerchang. But come on, that stuff was just horrible.
I mostly drink Busch, not because it's my favorite, but beacuse it's cheap. I see we don't have any Malt Liquor fans here. Favorite 40 anybody?

ye Olde English 800. Ironically enough, I started to drink it after my uncle died from (among other things) many liver issues, because it was his beer of choice. Only in 40's will I drink it though, not in the tallcan.

These are the saddest of possible words: "Tinker to Evers to Chance." Trio of bear cubs, and fleeter than birds, Tinker and Evers and Chance. Ruthlessly pricking our gonfalon bubble, Making a Giant hit into a double- Words that are heavy with nothing but trouble: "Tinker to Evers to Chance."
Miller Lite- It just goes down so easily, and is usually pretty cheap at the place sI go
Corona- Only if you've access to a lime, though!
Rolling Rock- Uh, it's just good.
Hackor Shor Weiss- For when I'm feeling all cultured and shit.
Creme Ale- A brewery by my place makes the BEST creme ale- tasts like a combo of beer and creme soda. That might not sound appealing, but ohhhh, is it good.
