Considering how my Ourobous Circles came in dead last, I think I will do better this year. I pulled a Spurrier, sadly, last year... (I loaded my team with former Gators)

I have a live draft currently set up for two weeks from Sunday afternoon. If that works well for most people, we'll keep it, if enough can't, we'll move it to a Saturday/ a week later, whatver. There is always pre-ranking for those who don't want drafts.

And I'm in! Booyah!

The draft time is impossible for me, since at that time I'll be in Ottawa shacked up at a cottage with any number of bikini-clad women (or, in reality, shacked up at an Ottawa cottage with my two male buddies and my one pal's girlfriend playing euchre). So if we have a vote, I vote to change the draft day. If not, well, my autodrafting will give the rest of you clowns a shot.

Okay, I think I've got everything sorted out except for one thing. You have 'Bye Points' set to Yes. Does this mean we still get points when our team is in a bye week (if we have an odd number of teams)?

-Jag

Hmmmm, I'm usually working Sunday afternoons, but I can always pre-rank.

I highly doubt that we'll have an odd number of teams. If we do, I'll change the bye points, but I didn't really notice it while making the league.

As for the draft date, what's good for most people? I set the two weeks from Sunday just to have a set date, I'm not stuck on it by any means. I'm off weekends, and work no later than 6 PM any specific weekday. Barring spousal interference, any other time is cool by me. But I need to know soon, within the next few days, so that we can get the primo spots before the fill up.

I try not to work Friday and Saturday nights, so that's probably the best for me. If it's anytime in the evening I should be able to schedual around it unless A) My new job decides they need me for the closing shift, or B) It's a Sunday (though I still might be able to swing that)

As long as it's not before 8:30 pacific time.

EDIT: I'm in, but I have one question. Can we go to a more standard roster size? 22 man rosters are a little harsh in what is very likely to be a 20 team league. Just filling the basic requirements will take up 80 percent of the available players (440/540). Plus...with rosters that big, the draft will take an insane amount of time to complete. In the twenty team league we were in last year, you were lucky to have one DECENT player at each position, let alone good people. Also, two defenses is stupid. Twelve teams (more than half)will be forced to start only one squad, and there are probably between five and eight defenses in the league that aren't worth starting anyway. I would suggest going QB/WR/WR/RB/RB/TE/K/DEF, and maybe the WR/RB position. The way it is set up now won't make for a very enjoyable league.

Kaz Im with whitebacon on the team size, he said it well enough.
If you need a hand setting it up I handled last years so I have some kind of Idea of what worked and what didn't.
you can find my email on the Team and Coach list.

Can't we move the draft a lot closer to the start of the actual season? It seems kind of silly to have it in July when the first game isn't until Labor Day weekend. (That's not ONLY because I have Mariners tickets for that day, meaning I'll have to pre-rank and let the computer draft and, well, you see how well that's worked out for me in the baseball league.)

Yeah, Brick had it set up nicely last year. the 16.whatever yards per point was pretty good, making a 100 yard game equal to one TD. I second the draft being pushed back, and also later in the day.
