Has anybody else been following the progress of this yet? It's being released before the end of August, and it looks FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC. The biggest improvement I think is the ability to have a wrestler wrestle for more than one group. This will now allow me to have Low-Ki on NWA AND ROH, FINALLY. Here's the link with all the features:

I've been quietly drooling over this for a while now.

It'll be nice to finally see pictures of some of the wrestlers.

I probably should mentioned how Adam said that 3.0 would be it.....but sweet JESUS what a great set of new features in there. Of course, the inclusion of WarGames is the greatest thing since creation.

"Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of citizens to keep and bear arms. This is not to say that firearms should not be very carefully used and that definite safety rules of precaution should not be taught and enforced. But the right of citizens to bear arms is just one more guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard against a tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible."

I hope they will make basically an empty fed with tons of money that the computer doesn't have access too, but you can play as. I always wished I could start a fed with enough money to get who I wanted and stuff without having to be the WWE

You can use the File Editor to do that if you want to. I made a few feds when I got it.

Not just that, but a worker can also tour with a Japanese promotion. So technically, he can work for 4 promotions.

Heck, in a 4.0 game I tested, AJ Styles was working with NWATNA, MLW, and RoH, while also touring with NOAH. Busy man, that guy.

As said on the page with features, it's projected for late August. That's all I know, to be honest.

On a related note, there will be a new version of TNM too.

Edit: I'm an idiot and hit submit before typing anything.

Anyway, Scotsman's got his preview of 4.0 posted (scotsmanality.com). Its mostly just him doing his usual shenanigans in charge of TNA. I wonder if any of his pictures are actually from the game.

I liked both reviews, partly because I'm biased towards both guys, but they could've been a bit better. As someone who's played 4.0, I think they both didn't do the new version justice.

Not only would I do it justice, but it would wake me up enough to do another version of the EWR Satire diary.

Hey, plus I could probably swing a spot on the OO main page for it. Not that that would mean anything to most of you, but a man's gotta use the swing that he's got.

Man, that second review does make me want to play it even more. I wasn't aware of the "war" feature, that sounds like it's going to make competing with the WWE even harder. Also i'm looking forward to the relationships that wrestlers have with each other, does anybody know if that's something that you can edit for created characters or if it's an unchangeable factor that is programmed into the characters somehow?

I'm also glad that there are guest referees now. I've wanted to use that often in the past versions.

I was just about to do a major overhaul on all the wrestlers, promotions, etc in my current game but I think I might just wait for the new version and do it then.

Guess I'll just have to play Baseball Mogul 2004, basically a baseball version of EWR, until then.

I thought about it, tshman, but due to spending this week at a music festival, as well as some constant French studying, I literally have no time to draft something up.

At the same time, I think both Dames and Scots did it on purpose. There's a lot of new stuff in the game, some stuff that I'm just realizing in my current game now, and I can see the point of keeping it secret. It's all about the element of surprise.

Yeah, I like to play a year behind, for $$$ reasons. I'm going to get my friends 2004 for like 15 bucks, and I know I can find NCAA 2004 for under 20 when the 2005's come out. That's how I got my 2003's, by waiting until the 2004's are out.
