No, it's the actual PPV. They're doing a promo to open the show, basically saying they're not as bad as everyone's saying, and begging the fans to give them a chance.
"Hey yo" got a huge pop, and Hogan was getting cheered like fucking mad.
Tag Team Turmoil is the opening match, with Albert and Scotty 2 Hotty against Team Canada as the opener.

No matter how bad things may get, just imagine what would happen if Vince Russo was booking again, and you will feel better.
Holy shit, the Hardys are coming up with some interesting double teams. That was a sweet Russian legsweep/Hart attack clothesline combo. Of course, they're still cheating to win, both with the Litacanrana, and Matt pulling D-Von's tights to pin him. Seeing Jeff getting 3-D'd on the floor though, I think they're easy fodder for Billy and Chuck.
Edit: Actually, that was a complete squash on Matt Hardy, fameasser and pin.
APA out last, and Billy and Chuck always beat them.
Edit 2: Except after that clothesline from hell. Owch. Between a busted nose, a wicked Faarooq spinebuster, and the clothesline, I think Billy's dead.
Edit 3: Next match was a quite enjoyable Goldust/RVD match. RVD got out of the (old) curtain call, and bulldog, and won the match with his second five star attempt.
Surreal moment. Austin meets the NWO in the back, and Scott Hall presents him with a six pack of beer.
Austin tosses it, and the NWO parts to let him through. So the NWO is going to pretend to try to make buddies with the boys in the back?
Booker Test against Small and Smaller for the tag team titles are next. I'm sorry but "At a combined weight of 398 pounds, the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions...." is something that should not be uttered if the champions are American...

Wow, color me surprised... McMahon blew his nWo load not even ten minutes into the damned show? Ah well...at least it seems over enough to work well... And APA actually winning? Whoo!
TENTATIVE WRESTLEMANIA CARD: Undisputed Title: Jericho vs. HHH Tag Team Titles: Spike/Tazz vs. APA
Regal likes the Tiger Drivers tonight, bombing him once on the floor, and once in the ring. My predictions are going rather bad right now, so I don't know what's gonna happen here. I picked Regal, but thinking about it, next month is Wrestlemania in Edge's hometown.
Lesson of the night, the apron DDT didn't work at the Rumble, and the apron powerbomb didn't do any better. These two need to quit trying spots on the apron.
Edit: Whoo, Regal pulled the power of the punch from his tights as Edge went to the outside to get the knuckles. Gutshot, headshot, and I finally got a prediction right. That should make some nice money on the odds game too.

BTW I like how they're portraying the nWo... trying to suck up to everyone starting with the audience and going on to Austin. I see Rock and HHH next, maybe Taker.
Rock/Taker is next... I pick Rocky.

How could they bring back Hogan, Hall & Nash as heels? Are they that stupid? Does Vince just hate the fans? Let's see, three of the most recognisable WWF faces ever, who played anti-WCW WWF faction leading guys in WCW, coming to the WWF as heels?
What?
And to have a story that is purely marketed to internet smarts and the boys in the back. What a load of shit? This is Hulk Hogan, goddamn it. Razor and Diesel. Can't the marks get to mark out just once? Just fucking once? They did it with Flair who doesn't mean shit to the average WWF mark, they didn't even have much of a story for him, but at least he got to come back with a pop.
Who booked this shit?

It's funny that Taker STILL got a pop when his music hit. I mean he's kicked the Rock's ass every opportunity he's had for the past month, and he still gets cheered.

That's what I call respect
BTW since we've started the triple-main-event I'll go ahead and post the rest of my predictions... I say we see Angle/Austin for the title at Wrestlemania.
Edit: What the hell does Booger red mean?

I've been calling a Jericho/HHH main at Mania for a couple months now, so I won't stop now.
So who's going to go through the Spanish announce table? Rock set it up, but got clocked right after wards. And of course, Taker rules, as evidenced by him backing up, sitting on the steps, and talking shit to the Rock, who was straddling the barricade after Taker's atomic drop onto it.

Oh well, at least they didn't have Taker tap to the sharpshooter while the ref's back was turned. Flair is still going to die for nailing Taker with that pipe.
Oh, and Mr. Perfect is still God.

...that a bad guy(s) intentionally came out to someone else's music? For some reason, I think I remember it being the Dudley Boyz all the way back in their "fresh outta ECW" days. Maybe I'm wrong.
