Triple H keeps his title, Kane still wins and keeps his mask, everybody's happy.
Well, except the fans, who will be pissed off.
Well, then switch "everybody" with Triple H. It's funny how many storylines you can sum up that way.

Next week at the main event, the ref will be knocked out and HHH, with the help of Evolution, will be beating on Kane really bad. Nash (wanting revenge on HHH because of his HITC loss) will run out to "save" Kane from the onslaught and to get some payback on Trips. But wait.....Nash suddenly turns away from HHH and then starts beating on Kane. HHH pedigrees Kane for the win and Nash joins Evolution. The writers then start a feud with a maskless Kane and Nash.........(YAWN)
BTW.......Kane will have no scars or anything. The writers will come up with an excuse on how Kane was never really burned at all.......even though in the past X-pac made taunting comments to Kane during his feud with him on how he had seen his horrible burn scars in the locker room (when they were friends) and that no woman could ever love him because he was so hideous looking.

Hey, I'm all for trying something new with Kane...his character's been stagnant for so long that it's going to be nice to have a change. How would I book it? Bring Paul Bearer back and when the mask comes off, have it so Paul has convinced Kane that he is hideous and disgusting whilst in reality he looks normal. Remember, Paul said a while back that all of Kane's body was covered in scars but we now know that to be false. I think that's just about the only satisfying answer I can come up with at this point...but I have faith in the WWE writers. They have to have something good planned for us!

If there was ever a reason to re-sign Rick Bogner and Scott Hall for a tag team blow-off, that's it.
In Today's World of Plotless Action Films, Heartless Dramas, and Rob Schneider, Only One Man (and Two Robots) Can Save Us:
On the continuity tip, there was also that time when The Corporation (IIRC) unmasked Kane in the locker room and everyone acted all disgusted when they took his picture.
I'm OlFuzzy (I think) - Trips loses by DQ. Jindrak will probably run in. Or they could drag it out. Who knows?

This would be a dream match up. Scott Hall and Kevin Nash vs. Razor Ramon and Diesel, seven years in the making.

Actually it was the Facgime who did that. The stooges were supposed to take the film to the photomat to have it developed so they could show it later in the night, but they lost it (GTV). I got the tape to prove that, and yes, I need some fresh air for a change.

These are the Kane unmaskings I can think of off the top of my head just for the hell of it:
Summerslam 2000- Undertaker rips his mask off, only for Kane to hide his face and run off. next time we see him he has his same mask back on.
Facgieme- They pull the mask off of Kane, but next time we see him he has the same one on again. Photos were taken but the film got screwed up.
X-Pac- Pulled Kane's mask off sometime last year. He would come out to the ring with it, but was realeased from WWE before Kane returned from his injury to exact revenge. When Kane finally did return he had a new mask (his current one).
2003- I can't remember the circumstances, but he lost it while tagging with RVD. The next week he had it back, and RVD chewed him out for running off to hide his face.
So with all these unmaskings why should we believe this is the real thing? Maybe he'll get it ripped off only to have his face covered by something else. I don't know though, maybe since they're hyping it they will actually go somewhere with it this time. Who knows.
"The Universe is shaped exactly like the Earth. You go straight long enough you end up where you were."
I really can't see where they could go with an unmasked Kane. If he has scars then its gonna be hella hard to wrestle without them getting smudged, though I suppose they never said he had to keep the mask off for ever more.
On the other hand any attempt to explain away his not having scars probably requires either a Paul Bearer return or Taker jumping form SD, neither of which seem too probable.
They don't seem to be averse to the bait and switch style of booking so I'm thinking either Evolution interference leading to a DQ (probable) or Kane joins Evolution (less likely).

They have had another mask for him to use with a slightly deformed face for some time now.
Over the past few years his mask has been getting smaller so it will not be a big deal if they finally do away with it.
Personally, I couldn't give a fiddler's fuck if he unmasks and is miraculously scarless. They've already pissed all over that angle with the sleeveless transparent vest revealing his totally normal-looking torso, and nobody had an aneurysm then, so not go the whole hog and completely reinvent him?
Side Note: While he may not unmask next week, I can totally see them dragging this angle out to, say, SUmmerSlam, and having the grand unveiling there. It'd certainly boost interest around Kane to levels unseen since 1998.

ROTFLMAO!
But seriously, the "Katie Fick" angle already set the precedent for messing up Kane's backstory. They could do what they did with Lance Von Erich 20 years ago: say "This guy is just a performer. He's not related to the Undertaker or Paul Bearer. He used to be Fake Diesel, and Isaac Yankem. He's not burned. There is no Katie Fick. Al Wilson is not dead. etc."
I would like to see him un-mask after doing it angle after angle. I'd like to see Kane have some kind of face paint like Sting. Kane one night without the mask would be good, but he could say that he finds more comfort under face paint. Or they can shock the world and give Kane the belt? I don't think any of us believe that will happen.
I understand your point (and your avatar doesn't bother me at all, personally). I just wonder how much of this was Vince implying to them that the book sales don't go to the Guerrero family unless they play ball.
