You may have already seen this already... wwe.com asking on their daily poll: Who would you most like to see sign a WWE contract? With the options being Sid, Bret Hart, Sting, Randy Savage and... Lex Luger.
Hey, why not sign all of them and get it over with? It's only money....

If Bret Hart does not win that poll then there is no justice in this world. Not that I have a huge desire to see any of them back(although Savage is so fucking insane at this point that it might be interesting), but it's Bret. I would love to see Bret get the proper goodbye he deserves.
Sting -- probably in the best shape of all of them. He's still wrestling in WWA. Hasn't been in the WWE yet. But only if he brings his enthusiasm and gets a new catchphrase. To paraphrase socalledsport.com, his "it's showtime, folks" does not make the aisles run yellow with fear.
Bret Hart -- as much as I'd like to see Hogan retire, I'd also like to see an end to the Mr. McMahon character. This is the guy to do it. Bret is owed a proper send-off.
Randy Savage -- I've already said this is the guy to cap off a potential retrospective tour of Hogan's career by taking Mr. America's mask.
Sid -- for comedy value alone. And so Benoit can beat his ass again.
Lex Luger -- forget him; give Brock the Torture Rack. Are you kidding me? It would add intrigue to the match. Which shoulder-based finisher will he try? And it takes advantage of Lesnar's insane neck-and-shoulder physique. Sign the move, WWE!

Yeah but who cares: Norman Smiley wrestled a dark match on the Raw tapings!

This is not to say that firearms should not be very carefully used and that definite safety rules of precaution should not be taught and enforced. But the right of citizens to bear arms is just one more guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard against a tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible." - Sen. I hope I'm not the only one who remembered his last WCW run. (Of course I may be the only one who watched)
Then again, he can't be any worse than Hogan or Piper, can he?
What is Mattitude? Utilizing the belief system and work ethic (Mattributes) of THE Matt Hardy to create a better life for yourself by fulfilling your goals and dreams. Mattitude is a quality that can help anyone -- regardless of background or past -- to achieve success. You just have to make it a lifestyle, a mindset, a religion. Mattitude, is something that can not be taught or learned. Mattitude is something that burns within. In the ring, Mattitude is the intangible, the x-factor, that gives me an advantage over everyone else.
I really wish there was an option to vote for None of the above, please!. I get a feeling that'd get a fair few hits. Anyway, it was either make a vote or give the whole thing a glare of indiffernce, and I was daft enough not to choose the second option.
I'd rather Bret stick by his guns and remain out of WWE, so I went for Savage. Considering the environment of early 90s nostalgia they have with the current echelon of wrinklies, he would fit in great and draw a decent pop a couple times over. Considering recent events though, I'm slightly surprised that both Savage and Luger would be entered in the poll, but I guess we're hypothesising here.
Still, I'd much rather WWE dumped the wrinkly card alogether and play a smarter game with those they have at their fingertips.
Man, that's funny. Just to make sure nobody really wants to vote for Sid, they gave him one of the least flattering pictures of him in existence.
Look at the pictures everybody else got. You've got an old Bret publicity photo, you've got Lex smiling, Savage talking, Sting with a bit of the paint missing... and then you have Sid, the only one not looking at the camera, making a face as if to say "RAAARH I AM THE KING OF THE BULLFROOOOOOGS!"
EDIT: Oh, and. They've taken 300,000 votes, and after 300,000 votes Bret and Randy are less than half a percentage point apart? And Sting's only one point behind them? Weird.
Savage can't wrestle. And today's audience (not the net-nerd people participating in this poll, but the people watching on Mondays) will pop for him, and then quiet down rather suddenly as it dawns on them they don't really know who this guy is.
And finally, the WWE will have to begin a course of confiscating "Bonesaw Sux" signs at virtually every WWE event.
"Whatever I just posted above is what your mother said in bed last night."
The only 2 I don't want to see is Sid and Lex. I never was big fans of theirs and do like there in ring stuff. Sting, Bret and Savage are some of the greatest, I've been big fans for a long time.
Great Muta is a wrestling GOD!! praise the Great Muta.

There is "No Chance In Hell" of that happening as long as the McMahon empire is in charge of WWE. Look at Foley's underwhelming return last Monday.
If Bret, Sting, Sid, Luger, or any other headliner came back, they'd be used exactly how Steiner was, Foley is, and goldberg will be in a few months) Become another HHH victim before being bumped down to mid-card status and work with Test and Nowinksky.

But remember the farewell he was allowed. He walked into Vince's jet, said he wasn't enjoying the show and said he was leaving. Vince, his evil boss and tormentor, shook his hand, wished him luck and said "have a nice day."
Has anyone ever gotten such a classy ride into the sunset? From Vince, no less?
According to rumors, Vince has been pretty conciliatory toward Bret lately. And I'm only espousing his return if Bret is allowed to diminish or retire the Mr. McMahon character. The man's by admission only 80% recovered from a stroke. Granted that's better than some guys working full-time ...
