Parcells? Nope.
Dungy? Nope.
Gruden? Probably not.
Marvin Lewis? No thanks.

Someone today on ESPN radio called the Bucs "the Clippers of football."

assuming they don't lose any major players, i'd say they have a lot to be thankful for by being placed in a division with the panthers, falcons, and saints.

I don't blame the Bucs at all for trying to help pick Lewis's offensive staff. Considering that Dungy was a defensive guy who knew shit about the offense the Bucs didn't want to make the same mistake. I think they wind up with Gruden anyway.

As a Bucs fan, I think they'll also end up with Gruden. It's been obvious since Parcells spurned the Glazers that Gruden's been their man, and they'll pay Davis what he wants to get him.

"Oh - oh! Well well well well! It's twenty-four hours after the Royal Rumble and GUESS who is still the Undisputed Champion of the World - ME! Yeah, and I tried to warn all of you - I tried to tell you I was not a joke. I tried to tell you to take me seriously, but what did you do, huh? What did you do? On Sunday, you invited all your little friends over to watch the Royal Rumble, you called up Frank and said, 'hey Frank, you wanna come watch the Rock kick Chris Jericho's ass?' And Frank said, Frank said 'oh sure, I wanna see the Rock win the Undisputed Championship and go all the way to WrestleMania.' I mean, it's a foregone conclusion, right? The Rock is gonna win! The Rock is gonna win! The Rock is going to win, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU believed in your hearts that the Rock was going to win but GUESS WHAT HAPPENED. The Rock - The Rock - The Rock...LOST. CHRIS JERICHO - WON. And even if you don't like it, you have to appreciate and acknowledge all that I've accomplished, because everything that I've done is far too gigantic to be ignored!"

They better get Gruden or else all that building they've done could quickly go down the crapper. Why does Gruden want out of Oakland and into Tampa so badly?

They went after the University of MAryland head coach this week, and got rejected. That is emberassing. They need to find someone FAST (Not to mention a new GM if they are really going to force Rich McKay into resigning, which would be right up there with firing Dungy on the asshole-o-meter) so they can start putting together a plan for the draft and next season.

Gruden wants a say in personnel matters and Davis will not relinquish that role.

The best man out there right now is Nick Saban at LSU. I don't know if he is interested, but the Bucs deperately need an offensive minded coach and he is the most realistic one I can think of.

The only way this can get worse is if they hire Jerry Glanville.

If I lived back in the wild west days, instead of carrying a six-gun in my holster, I'd carry a soldering iron. That way, if some smart-aleck cowboy said something like "Hey, look. He's carrying a soldering iron!" and started laughing, and everybody else started laughing, I could just say, "That's right, it's a soldering iron. The soldering iron of justice." Then everybody would get real quiet and ashamed, because they had made fun of the soldering iron of justice, and I could probably hit them up for a free drink.

I believe that Saban signed an extension yesterday or today.

Dan Patrick was doing a great bit yesterday on his radio show, periodically announcing that various horrible NFL coaches turned down the job. People like Rich Kotite, Ray Handley, etc.

Looks like the Bucs are talking to the The Mooch. I don't see how Mariucci could fit in in Tampa. He already has clashes with his players (see Terrell Owens). Could he co-exsist with the strong personalties the Bucs have? He seems like a low key humble guy who doesn't like the flashy. talkative types (see Warren Sapp). I just don't see how he would work down there.

Say what you want about this guy, but I always enjoyed watching his teams play.

Now Richie Kotite, there's a guy that is truely a shitty coach. He's right up there with Kevin Gilbright.

Hey, if all else fails there's always Sam Wyche. >_<

ESPN Radio just reported that Jon Gruden is the new Bucs coach.

How's Mooch going to explain his dabbling with the Bucsto his Niner players? Tough to save face after a mess like that.

With the draft a week away I was wondering who everyone would like to see there team draft. Being a Raiders fan I think they can do allot with their 4 picks in the first two rounds.
