*Rey Mysterio & Heavy Metal & Latin Lover vs. Fuerza Guerrera & Louie Spicolli & Psicosis (When Worlds Collide PPV 1994)
*Rey Mysterio vs. Dean Malenko (WCW Debut)
*Rey Mysterio vs. Psicosis (WCW PPV Debut)
*Rey Mysterio vs. Dean Malenko (First WCW Cruiserweight Title Win)
*Rey Mysterio vs. Eddy Guerrero (WCW Mask vs. Title Match)
*Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho (WCW Bash at the Beach 1998)
*Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero (WWE Smackdown Debut)
*Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle (From WWE Smackdown)
*Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit (From WWE Smackdown)
*Rey Mysterio vs. Jamie Noble (From WWE Smackdown) --------------------------------------- See, these are much better selections than the HBK DVD. A ton of pre-WWE footage and nothing from a WWE PPV. In other words, stuff the "hardcores" probably don't already have.
Not to mention a lot of sweet-ass WCW Cruiserweight and Kurt Angle matches.
As much as we complain about Vince buying WCW and causing a lack of competition, it has to be acknowledged that at least we're getting some pretty sweet DVDs out of it.
Over 1250 posts and still never a Wiener of the Day!
In the issues of December 16th, 2000 to November 10th, 2001, we may have given the impression that George W. Bush had been legally and duly elected president of the United States. We now understand that this may have been incorrect, and that the election result is still too close to call. The Economist apologizes for any inconvenience. --- The Economist, 11/17/01
Even though this was more of a Kidman showcase, the 3-way match with Kidman/Rey/Juvi at Starrcade 1998 would be a great match to have on there. It was an incredible match. But I will be getting this DVD for sure.
January 4th 1999 - The day WCW injected itself with 10 gallons of Liquid Anthrax...AKA...The day Hogan "Defeated" Nash to win the WCW title in front of 40,000.
So.. when's this piece of beauty coming out? And what about the aforementioned HBK DVD?

It is the soldier not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech

I think it is out tomorrow. It is definitely this week. I am positive it is tomorrow though.

June 24 is the date for the Michaels' DVD, according to amazon.
I'm just somewhat surprised to see the When Worlds Collide match on there. I know that the matches eventually aired on AAA TV, so I didn't think that WCW had the rights to it, even though they were involved in its promotion.

I remember reading that WCW had ownership of the footage because it was their production crew.

What!? No lawn dart? Thank goodness for the nWo DVD.
Star wipe, and...we're out. Thrillin' ain't easy. . . THE THRILL ACW-NWA Wisconsin Home Video Technical Director...& A2NWO 4 Life!
I got the Rey DVD today. It was pretty cool. Basically they give a total biography of his entire life going from his childhood, to the place he trained, the place he had his first match, WCW and WWE. It had snippets of his best matches and 10 of them in full on the DVD. The only thing I didn't like is they really went all kayfabe on the Albert injury angle. Like Albert really injured him and he really was going for revenge. Also while other superstars gave Rey compliments, Angle was in character the entire time. That totally annoyed me for some reason. I wanted a non-kayfabe DVD.
But the real gold is the matches. Cool WCW matches and Smackdown appearnces. The problem I have is that WWE footage from PPVs is only snippets, not entire matches. I guess they don't want to hurt PPV DVD sales, but it would have been nice to see the entire PPV matches. I enjoyed the DVD, take out the kayfabe and add some WWE PPV matches and it would have been perfect. But as it is, I say it is a 8 out of 10. Really good insight into Rey and his past and some of his best matches of his career.
Also there are 4 Easter Eggs. I found them pretty easily, they are 3 "He is Coming" vignettes, and a little vignette about his entrance music that also promotes WWE Anthology.

There are more than 4.... there are 4 alone with just Coming in 10 Days, Coming Next Week, and Two Coming This Thursday...

ok...5 then. I was hoping one of them was an extra match. But I surely haven't found that yet.

does anyone else have a tough time believing Chris Jericho is 11 lbs heavier than both Kurt Angle and Rob Van Dam? Both Kurt and RVD have much better muscle tone than CJ, (and Kurt is most definately taller than CJ) . . .
