Actually, they've been advertising for at least a week, maybe longer. Plain white text on black background, they've been on during the commercial break for every episode of Family Guy this week.
I love Adult Swim, and I love the new segments between the shows. MUCH better than the old swimming pool clips.
"Still here?"
"That's cool."
"[Adult Swim]"
Plus, all the shows were HILARIOUS, especially Home Movies. And I'm glad they told us that The Brak Show will be BACK NEW IN OCTOBER!! 13 NEW EPISODES, BAYBEE!!!
Yeah, those ads were surprisingly good. And they've replaced the original bumpers, as well... kinds funny how they said they "should probably order more episodes [of The Oblongs]. Maybe."
As for the lineup, kinda wish they had more Family Guy, but the Oblongs could probably grow on me. It still goes without saying that Harvey Birdman/ATHF/Sealab Fucking Own, of course.
Birdman was the usual hilarious. Peanut and Phil Sebben are hilarious. "My Lucky Mug!"
ATHF was funny, too.
And the new bumpers do rule. Fun Fact: The first Adult Swim theme song was used as background music in those Los Guerreros vignettes.

I usually think that ATHF is the weakest comedy on AS, but it was the best episode last night.
I also will admit that I don't dig Home Movies usually, but the first 5 minutes were amazingly hilarious. In fact, the entire episode was tremendous.
I love Harvey Birdman, but it kinda sucked last night. Sealab was decent, but Space Ghost was awful.
The Hurricane main eventing a Raw show? See, the WWE is listening to the 'Net. Well, they're listening to me anyways. Look for the next push to go to Molly.
So far as I can tell, it's just off Sundays for the time-being.
EDIT: And was that a DVD announcement I caught last night?! Was it legit? Is it just "Space Ghost" or will we see one for all the "Williams Street" shows?
Also, the next new episode of Home Movies will be in the fall.

Originally posted by OlFuzzyBastardWow, they didn't advertise that at all. This really salvages the night after The Simpsons was pre-empted for Some Stupid NASCAR Race.
Because of NASCAR the usually FOX Sunday line up (including Simpsons) will air tonight (Monday).
I think getting Futurama and Family Guy off Sunday is a good idea. Four times a week is enough, or else the series will start to wear-out its welcome (like would happen if we had to see repeats many times over).
As for the commercials, I don't like 'em. Sure, I'm glad the old folks swimming are gone, but these commercials seem longer and almost like they're making fun of the viewer by being too smarmy. Eh, whatever.

Yeah, but I liked those Futurama commercials where the voice says real quickly "SundayMondayTuesdayWednesdayThursday." I'm going to miss those.
Brendan trading "Fuck you!" with his dad's new wife while she's in labor=Platinum.
As for those of you glad they're giving Family Guy and Futarama a break... Bebop is now on five times a week, and with a 1/3 of the episodes of Family Guy!
Quoting Miyazaki, teasing new Oblongs eps (maybe Ferrel thinks of it as a pet project and wants it back?), the giant advisory label... Good stuff.
Oh yeah, and the death of the Toonami style openings. Finally signifying that the two blocks aren't at all related in target audience was a good idea.
You can never have too many Whedon related threads.
Might as well bump up this thread since there are new episodes of Birdman, ATHF, and Sealab tonight.
Speaking of Adult Swim, tonight's Futurama episode was very good. To show how much Fox cares about it, before the show, the announcer said "Coming Up, a new episode of Futurama", then they cut to Homer Simpson saying, "D'OH, I mean Woohoo!"

The Kim stuff is getting ridiculous. Couldn't she have ran to the construction workers and screamed bloody murder or that the father was trying to rape her or do SOMETHING intelligent? The rest of the show is awesome though.
