...and a Fashion Report, too.

FOOTAGE! from JD.

Vince, in grey suit with mustard-yellow shirt, leaps out of the limo and heads to the ring, grabbing a mic along the way. Only the top button is undone this week. He bemoans his inability to do anything right. Ironically enough, he says he'll get MORE involved this week.

A new opening, heavy on Angle, Brock and Cena. Way too many "S"s in that ssssong.

Team Angle, in blue "Team Angle" warmups, and matching blue "Team Angle" singlets with red sides and three stars on the outer thighs, vs. Eddie, in grey "Latino" tights with black/gold flames, and Tajiri, in black trunks, with white dragon, both of them wearing the belts. Shelton has red kneepads and Charlie has blue with stars. Adbreak?! How dare you show-up in the first quarter hour? Ooo - new replay graphics. NO! I hated that ending, in a "I-was-so-into-the-match" kind of way. I loved it - good match.

Tazz, in beige suit with white shirt, brown hanky and yellow tie, and Cole, in blue shirt (no tie) have FOOTAGE!

Vince, again. Piper, in white "Pipers Pit!" tshirt and kilt, with Sean, in evil long black coat with flamin cuffs, is out. Sean reminds them they're all heels and they should work together, which is something they already knew. And they publicly reveal their evil plan, booking a match in the process.

Cena, in old-school Cardinals jersey, backwards cap, black shorts, with lock and chain, vs. Kendrick, in new sparkly green shorts and same old green/black boots. Hey - they've taken the "!" out the of "Smackdown" graphic. Wait - there're new graphics for EVERYTHING! Okay match, but really just a glorified squash.

FBI, in red trunks and white wifebeaters, talk. Johny's getting dumber by the week.

Rey, in orange mask and trunks and black open tshirt, for guest commentary. Mattitude, in black "V1" shirt and red pants with gold pattern and black pockets, carrying the belt, with Shannon and Crash, vs. Benoit, in black "Toothless Aggression" tshirt and red "Wolverine" tights. Nice match.

Rey, in same, vs. Shannon, in silver/purple/black funnypants and Crash, in black/yellow "Crash Holly" fullcuts, both in black "V1" tshirts. Match is JIP'ed. An okay match, considering Rey's groiin necessitated a quick finish.

That girl in the Subway commerical is kinda cute.

Steph, in black, with matching earings and huge medallion, interviews Zach, in sleeveless white "Mr. America" tshirt. He's only 20? Wow - this guy really is an underdog. Vince watches, evilly.

Oh no, Hogan's little buddy's dream is in jeopardy. Make a stipulation!

Brocky, doing the happy dance, in new black undies with white skull, wearing the title, vs. Johny, in red "FBI" trunks, with Chuck and Nunzio. Okay match. Beatdown ensues, but Undertaker, in black bandana, black "Big Evil" skull tshirt "Let the Beating Begin" and black jeans, helps out.

Yknow, they never did explain, in storylines, why Bad Blood is a Raw-only PPV.

Damnit - MatureLady, in black backless, has to show up. Meanwhile, CNN has commercials - crap. Um, this segment is NOT exactly championing the cause for heterosexuality in my life. At least we had a funny payoff. Gosh - Tazz is getting plump.

Mr. America, in white "Mr. America" tshirt, blue tights with red/white stripes and stars, eagle boots, and blue star-foreheaded mask, with USA flag and Zach, in same as before, with a cane, vs. Sean, in same as before, and black, purple-web crotch red-spider butt undies, with Piper. Classic Hogan armdrop bit. Vince, with rent-a-cops, unarms Zach and then arrests him. Lame count-out ending. Boo. Y'see, I told you it would happen - the birds that provide the feathers for Hogans' boas FINALLY became extinct.

What, they don't use a ramp anymore?

Overall: A good show with lotsa in-ring action. The lack of Torrieberg the IceQueen was a plus. But the main had a crappy ending. But still a good show. I hope this wasn't a freak event, 'cuz I LIKE when both weekly shows are this entertaining.

Tomorrow - happy birthday to me!

oh yeah...the Eddie/Tajiri match was great except for Haas's trademark no sells. He's worse than RVD at this point. Eddie getting Haas disqualified made me laugh out loud.

Is it still ok for me to mark out for the Undertaker? Because I do. I still like the guy.

Man, that just ruled. Two patties, each 1/3 pound of grilled beef, two slices of cheddar cheese, pickles, onions, Dijon mustard, an onion bun...I rule the barbecue. And Jen made fresh raspberry milkshakes...Oh! The show? Uh...

If Tajiri starts doing his own version of the "lie, cheat, steal" gimmick, this could be hilarious. Tajiri RULES comedy.

"Matt has more teeth than Benoit". HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I look forward to Hardy-Mysterio like all good wrestling fans...AW CRAP! Mysterio's injured?!?

Said in room where I watched Smackdown when Undertaker appeared..."This doesn't mean that Nathan's back too, does it?"

We were all yelling at the TV..."KICK HER ASS TAZZ! TAZZMISSION!" So does Sable call that squat on the desk the "Butt-Crack V"?

Awww...Some of the fake cops use Maxim hair color! Way to cross-promote the product.

The show's over?!? Golly. Any cheeseburgers left?

The coyote goes... Uh, Mr. Heel's cheeseburger sounded a lot better than the show.

I liked what I saw. Yeah, Hogan was in the main event, and he's so old that he really should be relegated to a mouthpeice. However, every other match on the card was at least solid, and the Tag Title Match was excellent with a fresh twist on the "lie, cheat, steal" gimmick. Whodathunk 10 years ago that what Eddie did would have gotten a huge babyface pop?

Just got done watching Smackdown on Tivo, so here it goes.

1) Mr. McMahon says he will be in control tonight. So, does that mean he will have his mug in the open like Bischoff/Austin on Raw? There's that guarantee of smiling at the end, which means it will happen.

2) Team Angle vs Tajiri/Guerrero...I really enjoyed that match. Lot of stiff moves on both sides. The end was hilarious. New music, new graphics...mixed on this, liked the graphic update, but not the music.

3) Vince/Piper/O'haire...self-explanatory. He sure does that "you're fired" good.

4) Cena/Spanky...don't care.

5) I had to laugh at Johnny the Bull with the people's eyebrow line. It's Brock, not Rock (we sure need him back).

6) Hardy/Benoit...nice match, but Mysterio bores me. Mysterio vs Crash/Moore, see 2nd half of last line.

7) Steph/Gowen interview...interesting, but no charisma at all. Anyone who ever saw him in a match, how is he wrestling wise.

8) Brock/FBI...whoopee, UT is back. Wait till Nathan Jones comes back to make us happy (sarcastic). At least UT gives Brock his belt back.

8) Sable promo...despite her age, she looks outstanding. I was wrong on that part. Had to laugh at Tazz after getting wet. He looks like a semi-clone of Bubba Ray Dudley without the sunglasses on.

9) Mr. America/O'Haire...it is a good thing to have a star on the rise go over in this match, even though it was by countout. However, I knew it was going to be bad when the Rent a Cops came out. Oh look, the guarantee worked as we go off the air. Goody, we get to wait one week for a lie detector test to see if Hogan and Mr. America is the same. Here is a scenario...have some wrestler come out in a full mask, not the one Hogan has. Maybe cover the rest of his body in clothing. That'll fool 'em.

That is it for tonight. Feel free to agree or disagree on what I said. Till next time.

I liked the new Smackdown opening. I also like the graphics as well.

Team Angle-Eddie/Tajiri was good. Cena-Spanky, and Benoit-Matt Hardy were alright.

Highlight of Smackdown, though was the AWESOME promo by Kurt Angle.

Sable does look hot, and her pictorial in the new RAW magazine is pretty hot as well.

Steph's no Mike Tenay.

As I said in the Spoliers Thread, WAAAAY too much McMahon/Hogan.

Overall, another so-so Smackdown. When Kurt Angle returns in 2 weeks, though, maybe then will Smackdown be good again.

Line of the night:
Michael Cole: "He just hit that chair with the referee!"

Is Steph the worst interviewer ever? How awkward was that?

Sean O'Haire has a great look. I really hope he comes out of this angle unscathed and goes on to bigger and better things. He's a few years late, but would have made an excellent member of the Brood or Ministry of Darkness.

Sable looks like Lisa Kudrow from "Friends" from a distance. Maybe it's the hair.

How many surprise comebacks is this for the Undertaker? Does anyone care?

Los Guerreros/Team Angle was good, but it seems like these two teams, or some combination of them, have a match every damn week.

How many times are they going to bring cops out to the ring to arrest someone? It just happened with Goldberg, and recently with Nathan Jones and Undertaker and upteen times with Austin.
I don't blame the casual fans for tuning out. There is a real feeling of "seen it all before" in WWE right now.

I really wish Sean O'Haire would get rid of that coat, or at least get a full-length one, a la Edge. It's a nice enough coat, and I'm sure it cost him good coin, but when I see it I think "raincoat," and then I think "flasher"... which is not exactly the image I suspect he's going for.

I really didn't pay much attention to Smackdown last night (thanks again bro). It's kind of difficult getting into a show that Vince McMahon snarls his way through after you sit through about 5 hours of classic All Japan Women. Anything WWE looks like....ACTING compared to that. So for this week, I'll just say that the ACTING was whack. Raw was better, no doubt.

Okay, I have to ask:

If Zach Gowen pulls his leg off in mid-match and whacks the opponent over the head with it, does he get DQ'ed for using a foreign object? "C'mon, ref, all I did was kick him."

A few thoughts about the show:

First, I'm surprised more wrestlers don't suffer groin injuries like Rey do when they fly around the ring. Have to give him credit for still trying to fly after hurting himself.
Just the brief promo demonstrated yet again why Kurt Angle is desperately needed.
I wonder if this is the slow build to Taker/Nathan Jones vs. FBI at the July PPV. Golly, that would be 2 fascinating months.
For the most part, if a segment did not involve anyone with the name Hogan or McMahon, it was at least in the decent to very good category. Anything involving those two names, was camel dung. Except of course for the fact that camel dung comes from a far better creature than the one that runs the company.
And, during the Vince's Daughter probing interview, was anyone else waiting for the classic 'If You Were a Tree, What Type Would You Be?' question.

I consider the switch from Pathetic to Loser to be a promotion.

Now that Zach is in the WWE, I think Kerry Von Erich is kicking himself...Or not...

New opening, It's going to take me a couple of viewings to really see if it grabs my attention..

-Eddie/Tajiri vs. Team Angle- A 15 minute opener which was really cool. Better then the JD match because Team Angle seems more comfortable in this situation even though Eddie & Tajiri totally impressed in the PPV. That Benjamin block kick just to spin around and hit it again in one motion is becoming one of my major markout moves. Even with a DQ finish it was very cleverly done. Great start.

-Vince/Piper interview- Well atleast he was honest and said he'd be all over the show. Well they set up the main event with this.

-Cena vs. Kendrick- Surprised they had this match tonight. Surprisingly it was a semi-squash. I mean Kendrick had a bit of a flurry of offense but Cena controlled most of the match. I was confused that they had this match last night.

-Benoit vs. Hardy- Good match and quality effort by both these guys. The thing is I see Matt as cruiserwieght champion losing constantly against guys who aren't so much bigger then him. I don't see how this does anything for Benoit and Hardy just lost another match.

-Mysterio vs. Moore/Crash- Major credit to Mysterio, he was obviously struggling in there big time. It did look a little ridiculous him getting two pinfalls in that condition, but hell I'm shocked he was able to do moves while being injured.

-Lesner vs. Stamboli- I guess they are trying their best in making FBI look like a legit threat. I just can't buy it even though they keep telling me they WHACKED people... I still kind of mark when I see the Undertaker, don't really know why.

-Sable interview- I guess Sable is a little less creepy looking, maybe my eyes are just adjusting to her now. But she has to stop wearing those cartoonish catsuits. Speaking of did anyone catch that sign behind her that said "Hey Granny Nice Catsuit", I couldn't believe it LoL. Well at least she's more interesting then Torrie and this segment wasn't promoted as the 2nd most important thing on the show, even though if you check out WWE.com smackdown it's the lead story in the SD results.

-O'haire vs. M. America- Err the match was what it was, at least O'Haire had a lot of the offense even though he had to take it really slow on Hogan. I guess they booked the ending the only way they can, I didn't mind it too much.

-OtherStuff- The Steph/Zach I still haven't really gotten used to good-hearted Stephanie... Loads of Vince being evil backstage. Not much else going backstage

Sign of the night: "Hey Granny Nice Catsuit"... That is just mean LoL

I guess it was an okay show, solid opener but the rest of the show really couldn't catch up. Hopefully Mysterio isn't too injured and can feud with Matt. Really confused on what was the deal with a possible fun feud with Cena & Kendrick, I'm hoping it's not over. Like I said decent enough show, pretty average all around

I didn't watch last week but I really didn't like giving Gowan's debut to Piper. Now that I've actually seen him it's a fine idea by me. He's smaller than Spanky and Spike would kick his ass. He's the perfect supporting character for Mr. America so let him be that, I say.
