Essentially, Slash, Duff, and Matt have finally chosen Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots) as their new front man. Their first recordings will be on the Italian Job and Hulk soundtracks.

As the days go by, we face the increasing inevitability that we are alone in a godless, uninhabited, hostile and meaningless universe. Still, you've got to laugh, haven't you?

All I wanna know is 'Where's Izzy??'
A while back I read a report that it was Duff, Slash, Matt AND Izzy Stradlin.
Then suddenly he dropped of the face of the earth again.

Wanna bet Reloaded releases an album before "Guns N' Roses"? :)

*sigh* Why bother?

This is still not the "real" Guns n Roses without Izzy and Axl, but I dare them to name the first Reloaded album Chinese Democracy...

Actually, The Offspring has already titled their upcoming CD "Chinese Democrazy (You Snooze, You Lose)".

Does this mean that STP are broken up? Or is this just a side gig for Weiland?

Over 1200 posts and still never a Wiener of the Day!

I read that this morning. Good, Axl needs it. Apparently the lawyers are involved though.

Nobody talked about Steven Adler much after he left. Probably has a lot to do with Matt Sorum a much better dummer.

I would also like to see Izzy come back--his songs are some of my favorites by G'n'R (and "Shuffle it All" is a killer tune too). But I seem to recall reading that he's not unlike John Frusciante of RHCP (another musical genius)--pretty antisocial, not into touring, and in danger of quitting the band to "go home and play [his] clarinet."

As long as Slash and McKagan are there with a capable drummer like Sorum, the door will likely be open for Izzy to at least sit in or whatever. Further, those three together will easily trump anything Axl can concoct.

G'n'R were a great band. Maybe we'll get to see some glimpses of that with the new lineup.

You guys are all crazy. If you think that Slash, Duff and Matt Sorem can trump anything that Axl and company can produce, you're smokin better stuff than Weiland. Seriously, Buckethead blows the doors off of Slash in terms of musical talent and ability. There really isn't a comparison. The whole band (the new bastardized version of GnR) is better than they ever were. The problem is that it's not Slash. Fuck Matt Sorem, fuck Steven Adler, fuck Duff, and fuck Izzy. Everyone is pissed off mostly because Axl and Slash are no longer together, thus ruining their trip down nostalgia lane. There is no proof that Slash can be a success without Axl, and adding a doped up heroin head won't solve matters. The Snakepit sucked. That other thing he did sucked. He needs Axl, but I'm not so sure that Axl needs him once this whole thing gets rolling (sorry, that should be IF this whole thing gets rolling).
