The previews for this weeks episode looked mighty sleezy. This is two weeks in a row they've gone with 'The Miss Elizbeth Story', but this time we get police reports and and a 911 phone call. Maybe they should let the body cool a little, or look at what they've got going in house before going overboard with this stuff.
Let the body cool? Thus missing an opportunity that comes around once every two months? No No No, Vince is a genius! This show will be a tribute to the purity of the WWE septic system.
In two weeks on Confidential, there will be an in-studio debate between Lex and the 911 operator, to determine how big of a dickwad Luger is.
Also, a special segment on "Before She Was A 911 Operator". Who is this mystery woman? Will her true identity shed some light on what REALLY happened to Miss Elizabeth? Tune in this Saturday!
Plus! A special reenactment of Luger and Elizabeth's last moments together, as done by WWE Superstar Test and everybody's favorite diva, Stacy Kiebler! Their acting ability will make you feel just like YOU WERE IN THE ROOM WITH LEX AND LIZ! Mysteries will be solved! What was Elizabeth's ill-fated last meal? And what do "Testicles" have to do with it all?
Just a little too much, guys. Sad thing is, the show used to be really good. Now it feels like TNN should have a giant Click Here running at the bottom of the screen to send the viewers to nakedrasslinhos.com or somesuch.
I think that VKM is very upset with Luger, along with alot of people and he is going to try his best to drag him through the mud as much and as long as possible. I think it is more of anger than exploitation.
January 4th 1999 - The day WCW injected itself with 10 gallons of Liquid Anthrax...AKA...The day Hogan "Defeated" Nash to win the WCW title in front of 40,000.
dskillz: WCW drew a crowd of 40,000? Was that their largest live attendence?
(I don't get to see Confidential over here so I have no idea how sensationalist they approach topics like this, and therefore would prefer to go a little off topic then make comments on a subject I can't contribute to)
"dskillz: WCW drew a crowd of 40,000? Was that their largest live attendence?"
Keep in mind that show was in Atlanta, WCW homebase. If they didn't draw in the Georgia Dome, well then they'd be in the same place they are right now.
The Nash/Hogan Fingerpoke of Doom drew 38,809 fans to the Georgia Dome making it #2 behind Goldberg/Hogan which drew 41,412 to the dome. (prowrestlinghistory.com)
Unless you count the New Japan Pyongyang Sports Festival show in North Korea that WCW had a part in. That drew 170,000 for a gate of 8.5 million with Flair vs Inoki on top.
Kinda off topic, but there is a really good article in the new RAW Magazine (no, i didn't buy it...i read it in the supermarket...yeah, i'm cheap) about that trip to North Korea. They talked to Bischoff and Flair about going over there. They said they had to have 24-hour security with them because Americans were so hated over there. Some of the stuff sounded kinda scary.
Originally posted by tomvejadaA possible reason why there's another week of Luger-Bashing on Confidential is that last week's Confidential rating doubled its usual average.
I think there's no denying it. Last weeks show got a 1.1 while the week before got a 0.6. Doesn't make it right, but it's certainly the case.
I had no problem with last weeks show but pushing it for another week is pretty cold.
cause there's limits to our liberties. 'Least I hope and pray that there are, cause those liberal freaks go too far.
I'll crush all opposition to me And I'll make Ted Kennedy pay If he fights back, I'll say that he's gay

Yeah, but does it matter? The woman DIED. Even if he's doing this just to get back at Luger, he's still exploiting Miss Hulette's death to do so!
I beleive that Vince is makine the Whole WWE bad, just so he can complian that "The Panda People" ruiened his company by forcing them to "Get The 'F' Out".

Hmmm...so I guess you would rather WWE do a 10 minute tribute and then let Luger get off in the eyes of WWE fans. Then why don't they just sign Luger to go over Brock as well? If they had totally ignored the death, then people would be bitching, but now that they did the tribute and now slamming the man that most likely had a hand in the death, you are bitching.

Are you kidding me?!?! WTF?
There is no reason in the world they couldn't have done a classy tribute to Elizabeth without resorting to tabloid-crap. They didn't even have to mention Luger. They simply could have remembered Liz in a classy tribute, *for the sake of remembering the woman.*
What is so hard to understand about that?
And besides, you COMPLETELY missed my point. I could care less if they are slamming Lugar or not - I don't like him and I certainly don't want him in WWE. The point is that they are EXPLOITING A WOMAN'S DEATH TO EXACT REVENGE ON SOMEONE AND GAIN RATINGS.
I'm not even gonna talk about the rediculous comment you made about how it's OK for WWE to decide if Lugar is guilty or not.
The "God/heavy rock" riddle for the new millenium:
Can HHH job himself out to himself and bury himself so badly that even HHH can't recover?
Since they are now going completely Tabloid TV on the show, here are a few ideas for future episodes.
'Jeff Hardy: Why He No Longer Works Here.' Considering 99.99% of the WWF/E fanbase is not on the internet (that is what they tell us all the time), shouldn't they be informing the fans that Jeff Hardy is no longer with the company and why?
'Jimmy Snuka: The Fall From Grace.' If the Luger/Liz story bumps up ratings, imagine what the Snuka/motel death story will do for them.
'Dr Zakhorian: The Friendly Neighborhood Doctor.' Considering the topic of steroids has now been mentioned due to the Luger story, shouldn't they give background on why the federal government was trying to send Vince up the river in the early 90's?
'The Warrior: The Man, The Myth, The Lobotomy.' Just taking a gratuitous cheap shot at the Warrior.
The Luftwaffe: The Washington Generals of the History Channel.
Thread ahead: the mark view vs the smark view Redux Next thread: O.K. So THAT'S why Ric Flair went over Hurricane last week! Previous thread: Is there any doubt that Ric Flair, WOOOOOOOOO! Is the Man?
