I dunno if this has been covered yet, but how about we list the 10 coolest entrances of all time. The rules are as follows: It can be a specific time when someone entered (i.e., Shawn Michaels' zipline Wrestlemania (X?) entrance) or it can be someone's general pyro, music and posing (i.e., Well It's The Big Show....). And no, you can't pick Owen Hart at Over the Edge '99, you morbid fuck.
#10) Mr. Perfect, in general. The music and the smirk fit his character perfectly, but what puts it over the top, and on the list, is the gum-swat.
#9) Christian, in general. Love the music, love the pyro. That's all.
#8) Rob Van Dam, ECW. RE! SPECT! WALK!
#7) Tazz, pre-Cypress Hill. His entrance is about the only good thing I can say about his WWF character, but man, the smoke, and the heartbeat....I LOVE it!
#6) Stone Cold Steve Austin, in general. Glass smashing, and he gets right to the point. Gotta love that.
#5) Shawn Michaels, I can't remember the date, but it was a RAW shortly before WM14. Shwan came down to the ring, and on his way, walked over to one of the guardrails, and did a funny little crotch-chop, as if to say, "And one for you...", then walked to the opposite guardrail and did the same thing, all the way up the aisle. I thought it was f'n hilarious. Thank you so much, Road Dogg, for making the crotch-chop lame.
#4) Hulk Hogan, circa Hulkamania. I marked out huge for his entrance when I was a kid, and you know you did too. "Real American" fuckin' ruled.
#3) Chris Jericho, 8-9-99. His entrance is great in general, but the whole Countdown to the Millenium thing was the perfect buildup for the start of his WWF stint. It helped that I was watching the promo with a friend who is a rabid Rock fan.
#2) HHH, in general, but specifically 1-07-02. His entrance just kicks 18 different kinds of ass, and when he returned, it was just that much better.
- Takers WM14 entrance. (with the druids) - Old school Mankind.. - Cactus Jack's arrival in the WWF..(incl. titantron skit) - RVD ECW. (esp. when Jerry Lynn was headbanging along with RVD's entrance) - Goldust entrance. I love the Goldvision - Mr. Perfect (Gum-swat!) - Austin (esp the Disturbed theme version) Ppl get to their feet and there is a vibe of 'bad ass coming thru' in the air. - Christiaaaaaaaan - Booker T. I love his pyro - Jericho (esp his heel entrance) - Flair's entrance in wcw, including the robe and stuff. - Brood (love the music)
There must be many more but this is what comes to mind.. they are all in random order btw..
"...And I use that to fuck them some place fairly uncomfortable." "What, like the back of a volkswagen ?" -Mallrats
Then there is Shocker's entrance at the CMLL December PPV. Which blows them all away. Admittedly, he's quite obviously one of my favorites, but even if he wasn't, it was still Greater than Nearly anything. Hunt people down and kill them so that you may see it.
I used to have other contenders. Nothing compares anymore.
I liked the introduction of Cactus Jack to the WWF, the reintroduction in January 2000, and the first appearance of Dude Love when he came to hwlp Austin win the tag titles.
If you set your expectations low enough, you will never fail.
My personal favorite "regular" entrance is Kane's old entrance. Every light in the house would go out and the creepy organ music started and then BLAM! FIFTY MEGATONS OF RED PYRO! Then he stalks down to the ring, raises his arms, and then BLAM! RED RINGPOST PYRO!
For a wrestler's entrance to a fed, it has to be Y2J's Millenium Countdown.
10. The Mountie, because of his hilarious song 9. Kane's first ever appearance at Bad Blood when he ripped the door off the cell. 8. Raven in WCW - no music, quoting Shakespeare in the corner...and Lodi's signs 7. Honky Tonk Man, Greg Valentine and Jimmy Hart in the pink Cadillac at Wrestlmania 6. Mr. Perfect 5. Roddy Piper - no one's entrance is so simple but so effective. The way he comes out of the curtain, puts his hands on his hips and smiles at the audience was great. 4. Jake Roberts - the music, the man, the menacing stare. It's hard to beat this one. 3. Hulk Hogan with Real American...especially at WM6 when he walked out to face the Warrior. The best part was a bunch of fans had this HUGE (like across several rows) picture of Hogan's eyes and it was right behind him as he came in. 2. Tie - current Jericho/Undertaker 1. The Shockmaster...if you don't know about this, I truly can't describe it.
YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME!?! - The immortal, chilling words of...The Shockmaster!
Besides agreeing with everyone else's lists, I'd add:
Ultimate Warrior - Big riff, shake the ropes, gorilla press 1,2,3 You know you liked it (well at least if you were 10 at the time)
Tajiri ECW - When he came sneaking down to the ring with his original music you knew everything you needed about the character without him saying a word.
Sandman ECW - Not much fun on TV, but like a big party live.
Originally posted by MarchOfThePigsGoldust, whether you like him or not, he's got a cool enterance.
Especially when they started letterboxing it on TV. That was pretty cool, because it also fit the character.
I think Tazz' new crappy theme music lends nothing to his entrance and should go back to his old one. On the other one, cross-branding makes money, and I'm sure the WWF will choose business over personal preferences.
I liked the pre-New Generation entrances in general, like from around Wrestlemania IV and V. They would zoom all the way up the aisle on Hulk Hogan, and it looked like you were running right up to him.

Oh man, I had forgotten all about that, but I agree, that was a simple but awesome effect. That's just one of the little touches that aren't used anymore, like the tag rope. BRING BACK THE TAG ROPE!!!

Gee whiz, nobody's said Goldberg yet? Come on, you guys can't be THAT smarky ;)
Here's 10, but in no particular order
Goldberg's Booker's HHH's Ode to Joy/Sequined Robe one (late Greenwich snob/early DX days) DX's orginal entrance Rocky's Nation entrance (also Owen's) Warrior's back in the day Jake the Snake's Mr. Perfect's Scott Steiner's last entrace. This is only because it's the only entrance music (I think) that's not in 4/4 time. That's why the siren sounds like it's off-beat sometimes, because it's in 7/4 for some reason. The Undertaker's orignal (or close to it) entrance, before it got ridiculously elaborate. That was creepy.

Farooq is the man so hit your knees and start praying!
Golddust, Kane's, 'Taker's old, and Austin's all great.
I also Loved Foley's First Cactus in the WWF (The no holds barred match where On the titan Tron, Dude Love interviewed Mankind, and then they spoke those immortal words 'CACTUS JACK IS BACK!') And the First appearance of Dude Love (Made doubly funny by Austin's WTF expression).
And the Shockmaster....What can one say about him?
Sadly some people were asking about his, and I WISH Wrestlecrap was still on line, because that was the greatest explanation, but for those of you who are currious.....
Ahem..In the 90's (Sorry if I muck up dates and stuff, I ain't got the details) Sting was feuding with some guys and challenged them to a big tag match at the PPV (Starcade I think, and please don't ask me who his opponents are). Sting was either keeping his partner a surprise, or was simply calling him the Shockmaster, and no one knew who he was. Come the PPV, Sting is in the ring, and so are his two opponents. THen the Fancy stuff starts and the Shockmaster (Played by the guy who was Tugboat, and Typhoon) adorned in his costume, which is topped off by a Storm Trooper helmet with a Psychedelic paint job (Yes a Star Wars Storm trooper Helmet) is supposed to bust through a fake wall and come menacingly to the ring while his highly digitized voice is broadcast over the sound system, telling of how he is going to rape pillage and plunder his opponents (Or whatever they figured was sufficiently menacing). This alone made it an okay entrance, what made it spectacular and worth remembering is the Shockmaster TRIPPED as as he busted through the wall. As he Fell, his helmet went rolling away, and the guy, gets to his feet, and was scrambling trying to grab the helmet, meanwhile his pre-taped monologue was blasting throughout the arena, all the while the guys in the ring are trying not to crack up, and Jesse Ventura, who was commentating, couldn't keep from laughing.

I agree about the DX entrance although I would include the Triple H-led version as well. It was so revolutionary how the entrance video took up your entire home TV screen, and then mixing in live shots with the video until their entrance was finished with the crotch chops and the X pyro.

Fallan, I believe the Shockmaster debut came during a Flair For The Gold segment, I believe on a Clash of Champions though I can't be sure on that one. Sting was announcing his team for the next PPV, and SM was his mystery partner.

Opps, I guess I stand corrected. Honestly I dont recall much from that period, I just know about the Shockster's Big PPV entrance.
As for my comment about raping pillaging and Pludering, I don't think he actually said that, but I can't recall what was said, and it was the typical 'I'm a bad ass gonna kick your butt" jargon.
Onto the Entrance topic, I'm surprised I haven't seen (if someone did mention it, I'm sorry) the Big Show's special entrances. The SHowster, Showkishi...
Or How about Lex Luger, the Narcisist? That was a class act.

Personal Favorites - Christian - the MAN!!! Jericho - just plain cool. Booker T - even my wife likes this. Hurricane - stand back! The Brood - great music & effects. Kane - the original, with organ & pyro. Undertaker - the old undead entrance. Blackman - to see if CRZ is reading this, and because the music really is cool.

Are you sure you saw it? Or are you just recalling what you read on Wrestlecrap? Because what you "know about" is still incorrect.
The Shockmaster's infamous "trip" entrance occurred on a TBS show segment and it was Ole Anderson doing the narration. It didn't happen on a PPV at all.
I don't think the Shockmaster ever made it to a PPV as "Shockmaster."
I also assumed that, when Fifi insisted on taking the Piper family on a shopping expedition to the tune of $8000+, that Roddy was reimbursed by the production company.
