Okay, hear me out for a minute and think about this. I admit, RAW was kind of boring, and I thought that the wedding might drag on. But, the way it came together was really a pleasant surprise. I read all the websites hyping Rock's movie and all that. I even rented THE MUMMY RETURNS just to see if all that is true. Well, I can safely tell you that despite the soap opera overtones (and there were many), the way HHH registered many emotions (happiness, anger, REAL anger) really made me see him as not just a wrestler, but a mighty fine actor. Comments?

Hmm. It was good to see SOMETHING other than anger where Trip's concerned (my husband hoped he'd get to lighten up and be Doting Daddy for a while, but oh well.) IMO, he's been one-note on the mic since he came back. Maybe before he left. Heel? Face? Who can tell? He's just one P.O.ed guy, dammit, and lets you know it far too often.

I think the Big Return is dying fast. I'm bored with him already, though he had been one of my favorites before the injury. We got a little more range out of him last night--I wouldn't go as far as fine acting, though he's much more bearable than Steph and doesn't forget his lines as often as 'Taker. It accomplished its purpose.

Rocky did tell "Trips" to loosen up and smile once in a while. I guess HHH was just concentrating on performing for the first month or so, and making sure that his leg will hold, and he won't have any freak accidents.

A root canal without anesthetic is more bearable than Steph's acting. Lord I can't stand that woman on my TV.

I agree with you 100%, Ms. Ringmistress -- Hunter's put on one hell of a performance. Oscar material. It helped that the writers set him up beautifully -- the fact that we the audience knew what HHH knew really built the tension for an explosion Steph didn't know was coming, but we did. And when The Moment came, what made it a classic was the streamlined, compact venom in HHH's delivery. This was no overblown, rambling rant, thank god. Just "I know you for what you really are: a lying bitch." Simple. Powerful, even. I dug it, and kicking that flower pot into the third row was the perfect capper.

Absolutely, I'm not sure about the Oscar thing, though. Those judges are funny people. But, if the Rock did something like that, would you get the same result, emotion wise?

The result, emotion-wise, wouldn't be the same, because The Rock can't act. What he does is shtick, and it's damn good shtick, but it's always the SAME shtick no matter what the situation calls for. The writers don't give him involved storylines because, I guess, his winking ego can't (or won't) allow him to defer to the plot.

...teach Jeff Hardy how to throw a friggin' punch? His "girlfriend" Trish packs more of a whallop with her elbows. It's rediculous to watch him flail his arms around like Laverne & Shirley in a tiff.
