The IGN FilmForce Web site reported a rumor that Hulk creators Stan Lee and Jack Kirby may not receive screen credit in Ang Lee's upcoming film adaptation. Citing anonymous sources, the site reported that Marvel Enterprises, which owns the character, may not accord the comic creators credit in retaliation for a $10 million lawsuit Lee filed against Marvel claiming that his longtime employer cheated him out of profits from the film adaptation of Spider-Man.

The site added, however, that the film's credits are only tentative right now, and final screen credits won't be determined for another three weeks so. (this post is a couple weeks old)

--So Lee sued Marvel over profits from Spider-Man. Didn't I read that Marvel is suing Sony over something that has to do with Spider-Man? Even though the Spider-Man movie did well in theaters, right now no one is happy.

Ain't It Cool News reported last week that Harry Knowles *apparantly* spoke with Marvel Studios head Avi Arad, who said that similar to the Spider-Man credits, the Hulk credits will read "Created by Stan Lee & Jack Kirby". Take it for what it's worth.

Marvel's making extra money off his creations, and he ain't getting extra money for it, is all it boils down to.

Seems greedy, but when you consider the films based upon his creations pulled Marvel outta bankrupcy... Well, you can see where he's coming from, at least.

Marvel came out of bankruptcy before spider-man was released.

Stan Lee also already gets a million dollar salary a year from Marvel for doing what now? Being the grand emeritus whatever that is.

Hey marvel or sony might very well owe Stan Lee some money. But what about guys like Steve Ditko and the family of Jack Kirby? What do they get?

A)Siegel, Shuster, and Simon's families all had laws rewritten specifically to fuck them over. If you created a character for Marvel pre-1980 you should be thankful Joe Q. or Jamie Kellner isn't sneaking into your house while you sleep and pissing in your open mouth.

B)Stan swallowed his pride for that paycheck for how many decades? Don't you think guys like Ditko, Gerber, and Kirby considered him a sellout? For Christ's sake, Ditko gives no indication of anything but malice towards the man. Of course, Gerber made a living off of goofing on the classis stories while they were modern so maybe he's a bad example...
If you created something that made a group of rich people millions you'd want to be allowed in the millionaires' club?

C)Does anybody else think we need a new Man-Thing series as opposed to a movie that rips off the Swamp Thing movie?
