Anyone who follows or watches NWA-TNA already knows about the masked luchadore who's been appearing over the past 2 or more months. It seems like the perfect timing, given the release of Jeff Hardy.

Based on the luchadore's actions on last night's show, who else thinks they're planning on having Jeff Hardy take the role (if/when he ever decides to work for them)?

I thought he had lost his passion for wrestling, which means he shouldn't be turning up at NWA-TNA anytime soon.

Anyone heard the rumours that Jeff Hardy was "Willie The Worker"

Heh. Willie the Worker has been attributed to anyone who did not appear at Wrestlemania (from RVD to Crash Holly), as well as the usual internet suspects (Hyatte and father-to-be Scotsman).

The Masked Luchador in TNA will be unmasked as Trinity.

And I'm not sure TNA would know what to do with Jeff Hardy if they signed him.

Meltzer said that Willie was legit a WWE employee, and was not Jeff Hardy.

Speculation I've heard is that Willie is not one of the wrestlers, but nobody who seems to know, will say who it is.

The thing is, Willie The Worker's wrote a column that he had "been released by the WWE today". This was on the same day that Jeff Hardy was released.

Wasn't Jeff's old name Willow the Wisp or something?

Willow ... Willie.

There's your answer, folks.

Tell me I didn't just say that.

It probably wasn't actually the original Willie. Hell, besides the originaly column, I have a feeling the rest weren't legit

I guess we don't have many TNA fans here (or people who order the PPV).

Apart from Jeff Hardy, I can't see who else it could be. He's the only possible pay-off in my mind - anyone else would net a "who cares" response.

I think it's almost certainly going to be Trinity, as Elitist said (although I don't necessarily agree with the rest of his post -- I think TNA uses most of its people fairly well).

If they can GET Hardy, then they could very well switch it, of course.

Either way, I hope they do the unmasking next week -- I'm getting really, REALLY sick of the stupid spider luchador. (And I hope they don't decide that they should make it Hardy, and stretch the angle out for weeks waiting to sign him...)

Hey, the Hardyz theme song is one of those generic "public domain" themes, right? That people are always telling the Torch that they head on a sports report or a commercial? TNA should hunt that down and use THAT if Hardy comes in...man, the ROOF would blow OFF the asylum.

Hey I like that idea and never really considered it. I think doing HHH v. Edge this soon would be a mistake, because hopefully the idea is that it will be there for HHH to have a fresh opponent later on this year, after he's back from his time off....
