Does anyone else remember a wrestler named Blitzkreig during WCW's last gasp? Who was that guy?

" Seeing these wrestling managers walking around with their big guts or their big breasts or their big mouths gave us hop that someday, we too could be part of the show, even if we weren't 6'5" with expletives tattooed on the back of our necks. Plus, anyone getting paid thousands of dollars to stand around in neon suits yelling 'KILL HIM!' towards the ring was certainly a profession to look forward to."

It's not a name anyone would reconize, at least I don't think. Last I heard, he was working as a computer programmer in Southern California with no intrest of going back into wrestling.

He's gotten nerve damage in one of his wrists, which is what kept him from ever coming back. His last appearance was at a Revolution Pro show in 2001.

Frankly, when unmasked, he looks like a more italian Jamie Noble.

Nope sorry, you got your Blitzkriegs and your Berlins mixed up. Blitzkrieg was a masked cruiser. Berlin was the repackaged, and no longer dancing Alex Wright.

According to this site, Blitzkrieg was a guy named Jay Ross.

The highest up the card he got (i think) was fighting Juvi Guerrera at Spring Stampede 99 in the opening match. It was an excellent match, but he lost.

since we're on the subject of masked cruisers..

i recently saw some nwa/tna footage and noticed that psycosis didn't have any of his original ring gear (the mask and outfit) why'd he drop it? did he lose to someone?

and as another note, where's la parka rite now? i always loved his dancing, much more than teddy long anyway. ;)

I thought Blitzkrieg was an awesome wrestler, though I though his name was maybe a bit dodgy (Nazi invasion and all that).

Psychosis lost his mask in WCW in the waning years. No idea where La Parka is. Wish he was on my TV!!!

It is a little more than that with Psicosis. There's somewhat of a contention over using the outfit because AAA's generally scuzzy owner Antonio Pena owns the rights to the gimmick. In fact, the AAA version of Psicosis is still masked and everything.

He wrestles in Mexico as "Nicho El Millonario" as part of the Familia di Tijuana (with Halloween (Ciclope) & Damien 666). Perhaps there is a little more freedom when it comes to using the moniker in this country. (Or he can get away with it easier with the Psychosis spelling).

The original La Parka is still working in Mexico, but can't be seen on any TV originating from Mexico City (namely EMLL) because of the Pena problems I mentioned above. You can see him on some of the Arena Coliseo de Monterrey tapes, or Tijuana handhelds available from wrestleholicsvideos.com

It is spring. The groundhog comes out of his hole and sees his shadow. It is the shadow of my right front tire. That means winter will last another six weeks. But not for him. - Red Green (Epsiode 13 - The Whittling Contest)

Jesus, from what I recall of Blitzkrieg he was just awesome.....he brought out stuff 200% more amazing than anything Mysterio ever did

La Parka also wrestles in MLW, which you can see on the Sunshine Network here in Florida among other channels around the U.S., but this has been discussed in a previous thread.
I actually had a friend ask me what happened to ol' Blitzy just the other day.

from what I understand the man was insane(as in could do crazy shit)

My friend jimimium fondly remembers Blitzkrieg in a tag match doing a double drop kick...as in drop kicking one guy and flipping around mid air to drop kick the other guy.
