On at least 6 different websites that I visited today, people seemed to have missed the significance of the Red, Green and Black Balloons that Teddy had released in honor of Jazz. I may be a honky, haterade-drinking bigot- but even I recognize the colors of the "Pan-African" Flag. I assumed everyone else had seen it too.
I saw Teddy dancing as they went to commercial and I was laughing my head off. I wish I got a longer look at it. I'd love to turn that into an animated .gif
I noticed the African flag colored balloons as well. Teddy Long is definitely the one keeping this angle entertaining.

Teddy Long is fucking god! I was very hesitant with the angle at first, but he's totally turned me around on it.
My favorite part: Him calling Jazz "boo". I don't know why, but that totally cracks me up. I'm the whitest person I know, so I'm not sure if it is some cultural slang or not, but it still funny.
I LOVE TEDDY LONG!!!!
Oh yeah, and I got the reference of the balloons, too. And I, as well, found it odd that nobody pointed it out.
Yea, I noticed the African symboled balloons as well. Long had me cracking up his entire time out there. He's doing really well with what he's working with. Boo is slang folks usually use to address their significant other or someone of the opposite gender in general. I think I'm right with this since I hear it used tons of times where I've grown up and lived. Congrats to Jazz!

Count me in on the Theodore (not Teddy) Long bandwagon as well. Too bad they're wasting him on Rodney Mack.
Thanks to Theodore, I'm starting to work words like "playa" and "haterade" into my every day speech, and I've realized that I'm nothing but a hatin' white honky that's wasting a space that much more deserving black man could fill.

I got my picture taken with Teddy a long time ago (probably about 12 yrs) at a WCW house show. He has to be one of the nicest guys in the world. I'm glad to see he's getting over and let's hope we see more of the shoe throw.

While watching RAW with a buddy: when the balloons fell, I exclaimed: "HA! Liberation balloons!" Yes, I got the color gimmick. Nice touch...but the last time I can remember a WWE balloon drop was the night after an HHH title win, during the re-formed DX "Oh you didn't know? YOU ARE HEELS" era.
Sure seemed like ol' Trips got a hellalot more balloons than Team Peanuthead. The man be holdin' them down, yo! :-)

I thought it was to honor the Kenyan flag that used to fly over the ring at the Techwood Avenue studios for Jim Crockett Promotions. Ah, back in the days when someone could claim that wrestling also provided educational purposes as well.
There is only one man left to save Vince McMahon and the WWF/E. One man who will provide weekly Hogan/Andre Main Event ratings for RAW. Baghdad Bob is your salvation Vince. www.welovetheiraqiinformationminister.com
Teddy Long has to be one of the only things, in my mind, going for RAW. Get rid of Coachman (although I know JR is coming back soon enough) and stick Teddy in the play by play spot so he can ask Lawler about his "black mayor" friend in Memphis.
I've got to admit I missed Teddy's dance after the match. How did it compare to that Elaine Benes type dance Stephanie did during Booker T's entrance for the WWF vs. WCW/ECW 10 man tag match at Invasion?
I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.

I recognized the colors...I didn't specifically define the significance, because I thought everyone else "got it." Sorry!

There was a recapper at a popular site that I usually like quite a bit that wrote "I understand the black balloon, but why green and orange?", which gobstoppped me. The audience clearly knew what they represented. They were popping them. That's just rude!
I think Le Resistance should drop red, white, and blue balloons when they come out to wrestle for the first time and have red white and blue ring gear, and get on the mic and say, "They are our colors, too, Americains!"
They could go on to lecture us about what the colors stand for and how America doesn't have those things anymore, particularly fraternity.
