I saw something refreshing in this week's Borash Report.

I get a lot of comments asking about the honesty and mere acknowledgement I give a lot of net writers and websites, when other companies choose to virtually ignore the internet's presence. My take on it is simple. I've seen the power of this medium. WCW Live! was a groundbreaking project that connected with wrestling fans like nothing else ever has. In WCW, it changed the negative perception wrestlers had of the net fans by opening up honest and candid dialogue between talent and wrestling's most loyal of followers, with the talent soon realizing that this fan base was incredibly loyal, powerful, and should not be ignored.

Based on some of the things TNA has done in its 40 weeks on the air, I won't argue with that. Jerry Jarrett has actively listened to feedback and, for the most part, has removed aspects of the product that simply don't work. (For examples, look no further than Cheex and Miss TNA) With that in mind, I write this in hopes that someone in TNA, whether it be Jeremy Borash or anybody else scouring the Internet, will listen to one more fan and hopefully a few others who post on this thread.

So here goes...

First off, a big thanks to TNA for actually acknowledging the Internet Wrestling Community as a tool and not a burden. First and foremost, we ARE wrestling fans and we're happy that you've decided to recognize our presence and listen to our honest criticisms and feedback. With that in mind, I would like to comment on the product and make a few pleas.

I love the X Division and the way it has rejuvenated the style of wrestling that I used to love when WCW was in its prime. Seeing Kid Kash, Jerry Lynn, the Amazing Red, Triple X, Jason Cross, and countless others is a refreshing change from the normal style of wrestling that fans are used to seeing. It's part of what truly makes TNA an ALTERNATIVE! Keep up the good work.

You've also done a great job with America's Most Wanted, the best tag team in wrestling today. It's sad that the era of actual TEAMS like the Road Warriors, the Midnight Express, the Steiners, Doom, the Rock N Roll Express, and others has passed and it's great to see AMW continuing a great tradition of fine wrestling tag teams. With that in mind, I hope the current storyline of Chris Harris and James Storm breaking up is just a tease. I know other fans echo the sentiment that AMW should not be broken up, since there is absolutely no shame in being one of the greatest tag teams in the world.

Thank you for bringing in New Jack, one of my personal favorites from the old ECW days. I'd like to humbly request that if New Jack is going to remain a part of your roster, that TNA pick up the rights to "Natural Born Killers" to use during his matches. It wouldn't be a New Jack match without it.

Thank you for keeping your product fresh by bringing in surprises each week. Seeing good talents such as D'Lo Brown and Mike Awesome along with old favorites such as Vader constantly keeps fans on their toes and gives me reason to watch each week. I only request that TNA be more consistant in bringing in wrestlers for long-term deals. I loved seeing Vader, but it was disheartening to get so worked up only to have him leave after only two weeks.

In the interest of keeping this post somewhat short, I will end there. Thank you, Jeremy Borash and NWA: TNA, once again for recognizing the online fanbase. We hope we can contribute to a better product in the future and eagerly hope for TNA's success, so that professional wrestling may have a viable #2 promotion once again.

Wieners, feel free to add to this.

You know it won't be long now. May God help us all!

Looks good and I agree (although I don't like New Jack)-- you should email that directly to Borash.

(I know he reads his email; I've gotten replies from him a couple of times.)

But....I liked Bruce!!!

Everything you mentioned in your post is accurate. I've ordered in the area of 10-15 NWA shows - and MOST of them, give or take a couple, have been entertaining top to bottom. Strong wrestling and fun storylines.... I wasn't all THAT offended by Russo being around (despite my early "DIE RUSSO DIE" posts) but even though it was working in a sense, he STILL took himself off TV willingly. Took guts on his part to suck it up and leave.

It's refreshing to see a company not actively burying talent. Everyone, in one way or another, has a job to do on the screen - and in turn nobody is coming off looking like garbage. When Larry Zbyzsko, Dusty Rhodes, and The Midnight Express are putting on GOOD QUALITY MATCHES and putting people over - you've got a great thing going.

I wish they had a weekly show on TBS or something though, that'd give them some exposure for fans who won't order PPV for something they've never seen before. I imagine that eliminates the whole weekly PPV concept if you're doing another for free - but I imagine through some creative thinking they could grab a bunch more viewers without giving away too much.

If this thing doesn't go under due to lack of funds, we've got ourselves a good thing going.

I just wanted to add my voice to the thread, as I've seen almost every show since they started, and while I have had times where I really didn't like the show, I never had a sense of hopelessness like I get watching Raw. I feel like if something is really tanking, eventually they will get rid of it, or at least deemphasize it. If Vince had something like Bruce or Disgraceland I feel like it would get a topcard run and never ever go away until HHH beat it

I like that NWA:TNA does not see us as the enemy. Because we are not something to be feared. We are the most passionate, dependable wrestling fans in the world. We are demanding, but when the product is good we will be vigilant in letting people know we are happy.

As for the rest of the post by seemingly the other devoted NWA fan here Karlos, I agree with everything he said. The only thing I would add is that they would be well served to find a couple more high-quality females to compliment Trinity and Alexis. I recently read that they were thinking of putting Trinity in a Chyna like role, and I'm not sure that's the place for her. To me she is Lita when Team Extreme was at its hottest. Able to hit hot moves on guys, and wrestle against the women, but not meant to go 1on1 with guys in full matches. I know it's been said by me in other threads, but I will not let the idea of Trinity and Red as a pair go. They would be money in the bank, and I think they could be over enough as faces to establish Red as a NWA World Title contender if they desired.

But in the end I guess the point is to say to Jeremy if he somehow reads this, I and others do appreciate what you guys do, and appreciate not being thought of as a hinderance to your product. Thanks.

I don't want to say some of you are crazy, but while you're out burning money, why not send ME ten bucks a week? It seems to me that your standards should be RAISED for a show you're (presumably) paying for, not LOWERED...

Or is it because I'm incapable of sucking up to you as much as Jeremy Borash? ;-)

Hmmmmm, maybe I will. Let's see you do a blade job and I'll definitely think about it.

No red without green!

(I'd probably need 15,000 buys, too, just like TNA ;-) )

If you started being as nice to us as Borash is it would just confuse and concern all of us. And really, wouldn't money just get in the way of the special relationship that exists between you and us Wieners?

But to give a serious answer to that I can safely say that for most of its time, and certainly since Smackdown stopped being so awesome, that the 8-10 hours of NWA:TNA that I pay $40-50 for is on the whole more entertaining than the 19 hours of WWE that I spend $35 on. If I were going to try and trim my wrestling related expenditures, I would cut out Backlash this month before I cut out the TNA PPV's. Maybe it's just the fact that it's not WWE and that alone makes it seem more interesting. Maybe it's because I was the person who bought the last ECW ppv. But for most of the time in its existence I have looked more forward to Wed. night than any other night of the week wrestling-wise. The fact that they happen to not post on a regular basis how much they hate the internet is really just a nice touch, rather than a basis for purchase.

So we've got, what, three weeks until the big show? Three matches have already been named (Hogan/Rock, HHH/Jericho and APA/Billy And Chuck), and on a four hour show that leaves about seven-eight slots to be filled. What matches are guessing take place?
