Your Official Sunday, April 13, 2003 Randomly Selected Wiener Of The Day Champion says....

In the WWE newsletter, they say this Monday on RAW, there will be "The Rock Concert II". Of course, I bet most songs will be about Goldberg, so it will be a replay of the last one. Iam not a Rock fan but I think these "Rock Days" are getting old.

I guess Vince is just trying to get the most out of the Rock before he runs back to Hollywood for another 8 months.

I don't understand what they're doing with the Rock/Goldberg feud. They've brought in Goldberg, just assuming that everyone in the audience watched him on WCW, has a clear memory of what he did and who he was, so they'll just have the Rock do his heel schtick and we'll have ourselves a rivalry.

Why aren't we seeing some Goldberg history, if nowhere else, at least on Confidential? Even just a video package or at least a mention of the undefeated streak so that the feud feels more like the Titan vs Titan that they want it to be.

I think a segment lining up Goldberg's history vs. Rock's history would be particularly sweet, and could be presented as two Gods rising up at the same time on two different mountains.

I suppose the lack of history on Goldberg means he's going over at Backlash. They wouldn't want WCW heyday to go over WWF heyday. I also suppose all this stuff I want to see will happen when Goldberg feuds with HHH, at which point HHH will squash him and Goldberg will disappear for good.

Lord help me, if I ever wanted to see Helmsley keep the belt during another match, it would be letting him go over Goldberg and making him look like the waste of money that he is.

Y'know, if Vince wanted to get more out of the Rock, why not put him in some MATCHES???

To me, the Rock Concerts are just as good as seeing the Rock in action. Rock's singing has been one of the highlights of RAW ever since he added it to his gimmick. Consider me excited for tomorrow.

I guess...but it used to be fun having an actual Main Event for RAW instead of a concert. I thought it was ok, but I did think it was something that could have been done in the middle of the show, not in the main event slot. Business-wise, the last one tanked in the ratings so I wonder why you would do one again, so soon.

I can't wait for the concert, I think Goldberg will spoil it for him this time.

I'm sorry, but I think its time they give these `celebration ceremony/appreciation night/rock concert segments' a rest for say, a few years.
First of all, in the last two years alone, there have been similar segments for Austin, HHH, Rock, Angle and others I'm sure I'm not thinking of. They're always predictable and take forever to flesh out. Does ANYONE think that Rock will do a concert tonight without getting attacked/called out, etc.?

Of course, there was the Al Wilson wedding as precedence - who'd have EVER thought that would go off without a hitch? I think that was the first "wrestling ceremony" that was actually followed through to completion!

You know, if the rumor is true that the Rock is going to Hollywood after Backlash, this could be the last RAW with the Rock for a while.

If this is Rock's last bit of comedy till either Survivor Series or Wrestlemania XX then I am there. I don't think this will be the main event since Booker T vs. HHH for tonight. It would be cool if Hurricane came out and spoiled it instead of Goldberg. Yet, they need to get this fued over soon, so this should be where Rock beats down Goldberg which should be fun to watch.

I am also wondering if they will pull the plug on Eric's Amdinistration and start the GM Austin era. Its almost a year now, so its time to end the Bischoff Administration. I am really tired of all heel Raw.

A Fan- If Booker wins, Rock's concert doesn't get ruined and Ausitn is the new GM, this could be the best Raw this year.

One can only hope.

I like concerts and all, and the last one was funny, but this is an F'N rehash and they know it. Goldberg will ruin the concert, and I'll be too busy thinking about the new Madonna album coming out tomorrow.

It appears as though he has put the past behind him and has buried his demons. That is a good thing and I hope that he is able to recover and regain the ability to run.
