With all the "fun" that's been happening right now, I noticed a few, ummm..."friends" showing up in the Wieners online listing. Except for the fact that they're highlighted in black indicating "no longer registered".
You broke the table...the end of the world is near.

How is that possible?
They can still log in, but that's about all they can do. I can't remember how I set it up, but I *believe* "banned" people can still read (but not post), while "no longer registered" people can't even read and have to log out and be a guest if they want to read. It was so long ago that I put the distinction in that I can't really remember what all the differences are.
I also can verify that, as a 3 time, 3 time, 3 time banned wiener, that you can still log on and read, but you can not post. however, my name was in black, but that might just be my preferences or something. You can also send private messages while banned, I found out; and now that Mr. Zimmerman knows this, I'm sure he'll make the necessary adjustments to change this so that you are not allowed to do this.
On a different subject, can someone who has you banned read private messages you send them? I was curious about this.

Banned people are welcome to send private messages to me if they're confused about why they're banned, so that's not going to change.
People who you are ignoring *can* send you private messages, as there's no check for that. [We would hope that people you're ignoring (1) don't actually know you're ignoring them and (2) have no reason to send you a private message in the first place.]
If you your screen name is banned you go always start up a new screen name and just start off as a jobber again. At least that is what Hyatte says. I get the impression reading his award-winning journalism that he has gotten banned a couple of times and come back to post again as another screen name. Wait a minute maybe that could also be Grut or Flea'articles?

Just advise I read online
Keep up the good work CRZ
Hyatte got banned ONCE that I know of - and even then, I had no idea it was him. I banned an account because it had Widro's AIM name in the registration and Widro said he wasn't behind the account, so I banned it with the reasoning that whoever HAD signed on came in under false pretenses (pretending to be somebody else).
It's entirely possible that he later came on anonymously with some other account that I ended up banning, of course. Hell, I don't know who MOST of the people I ban are. I only know that they've done something to really annoy me.
In extreme cases, I can ban entire groups of IP addresses if unwelcome people keep coming back - and have done so in the past. I'll leave the obvious examples unnamed but some of you might have some in mind.

I banned an account named "Booty Raper" which apparently belonged to Hyatte. I had no idea at the time - I canned it because of the name. He may be referring to that one.
Willful ignorance of science is not commendable. Refusing to learn the difference between a credible source and a shill is criminally stupid.

Okay, THAT was the one with Widro's screen name (project aloha) in it. I thought I banned it? Geez, we gotta get our story straight. ;-)
Don't take my word for it, though - it's still there!
