OK, Wienerboard members, don't hate me for coming up with this, but I thought of something that may open Vinnie Mac's eyes, and might echo the legions of Anti-HHH folks here.

I'm wondering if a large boycott of the WWE programming will change the mindset of Vince McMahon.

Picture this: Triple H holds onto the title next week against Booker T. Everyone hates seeing Triple H with the title, and admittedly, it's getting really boring. The following RAW, find a reason to avoid it, or don't watch it at all. Get your friends involved. Mention it to your colleagues. DO what you have to to get less people to watch the WWE (or the HHHE) Raw program.

In the same breath, convince the same people to sent a tasteful message to the WWE by email or otherwise, explaining that for the next two weeks, WWE Raw will not be seen in my household, because of the shoddy booking and whatever else. Explain that it's better to see results that aren't contrived and that the playoffs offer more drama than seeing Triple H bury his opponents.

I know at least four people in my workplace who support my idea. Four people (not including me) is a good start. If we can do something about this, maybe Vince will see that people are indeed getting tired of the product if they actually BOYCOTT the product.

Oh yeah, if Booker T wins, send the WWE an email, telling them that it's about damn time they finally put the belt on someone more deserving.

Um, no offense, but what exactly makes Booker T "more deserving". I mean, he's a heckuva wrestler...but he hasn't done anything awesome in as long as HHH hasn't.

I like Booker T. Triple H isn't my style, but I'd rather just watch RAW for Rock's hilarious adventures, Jericho's matches and RVD's dazed looks. If I don't wanna watch HHH, I'll just ignore his segments.

Oh, and if 1000 people stop watching...I doubt Vince will care.

To tell you the truth, I could care less if Triple H holds that damn title until he dies. I quit watching Raw for wrestling a long time ago. The reason I watch it is the same reason I liked watching the last couple years of Nitro. Trainwrecks and stupid booking can be fun as hell.

My recipe for making Raw enjoyable:

-Get a bunch of people to watch it with you.
-One bottle of cheap bourbon. (The nastiest stuff you can find.)
-Shot glasses

Take a shot everytime...

-Triple H holds down someone (be careful. You could die of alcohol poisoning.)
-Kane & RVD fight Morley & Storm in one form or another.
-Jazz, Victoria, or Trish fight each other in one form or another.
-Stacy bends over.
-Lawler or JR (or Coach) says something stupid or unbelievable.

Take two shots if...
-You see a heel turn coming.
-Someone debuts

Take three shots if...
Triple H loses the title (Thankfully this has never happened to us.)

I'm with waffleking. I gave up on RAW about a month after the split. I watch it purely for the head-shaking value now.

It's not like Vince gives a damn about what we think anyway.

If you really wanted to do a proper HHH boycott, you should change the channel everytime he is in a segment (especially if you're part of the ratings survey). Follow up with the e-mails and what-not. Otherwise, and across-the-board drop could get blamed on that...

I actually prefer RAW over Smackdown, so no, I don't believe I'll be boycotting it just because I was unhappy with one title change (or lack thereof).

SOK is just calling for a boycott now? I've pretty much stopped watching raw completely for nearly a year, what more can you do? Boycotting is silly, the best way you can show Vince McMahon you don't like where the product is right now is by not watching. Because as much as we don't like the way HHH has taken over the show, and as much as we show our dissent about it on the weinerboard, it doesn't seem like WWE will care about what we say.

Ratings will continue to get lower despite all the nostalgia trips and all the costly big name returns that equal to zip...and WWE management and officials can't honestly believe that this is JUST a down cycle period or whatever.

I've learned that it is an effective way to avoid segments with people you can't stand on RAW. Of course, at this point, Trip isn't even near the top of the list of guys who I flip the channel just at their appearance.

Ummm... Not that I support this but don't boycott raw boycott the sponsors who advertise on raw and let them know why you're doing it. Send a communication to WWE and the sponsor saying something like, "I will no longer buy your product because HHH is the champion," if that is what bothers you.
Boycotting raw doesn't matter, boycotting the advertisers MAY (and that's a very, very big may) at least draw media attention.
I don't support the idea, I'm just sick of people boycotting raw when boycotting the sponsors has shown it does change programming. There were rumours that this is the reason Vince toned down the T&A a few years ago.
The above would actually hit people in the pocket book and that usually causes change if enough people participate.

First of all, no I will not boycott RAW if HHH wins next week, in fact I hope he does, because HHH has a lot more interesting angles to be working than Booker T does. Besides, the writing and structure of RAW, have been, in my opinion, 100x better than their counterparts on Smackdown, and actual in ring action is only half the reason I watch the shows.

If you think that a title change is the answer to the problems that you percieve with RAW, you're mistaken. This month is the first time since Rock came to RAW that HHH was the focus of a show. The perception in the WWE that he's the big deal on RAW just is not there right now in the writing. Yeah, this week he had three segments, of which, none of them revolved solely around himself. He was mentioned, as the champion, in one other segment. This is the most involvement he's had on the program since Royal Rumble.

Frankly, I don't really care what happens next week, because no matter the result, the WWE writers CAN NOT make anybody happy any more. If Booker wins the title clean, it was too late to mean anything. If Booker wins by interference, he needed help. If he loses clean, HHH is holding him down. If he loses by interference, not only is HHH holding him down, but HHH is demeaning the title by only winning via interference. And every week, we're wishing failure on them so that we can be proven right. "RAW will be terrible" we'll say. Then, despite a good effort, we'll condemn them for not doing every single thing that we want them to. Look at a guy like Hurricane, he had an entertaining little fling with Rock, and then he lost to HHH. Everybody said that that was the end of his run towards the top of the card. A few weeks later and he's still involved in the main event angle. No, he's not a title contender, but I doubt if any of us would disagree with the assertion that he should be able to jump from guy on Heat to main event in this short of time. What's the complaint now, however? That he's only defeated Flair, and that was in a tag team match, and besides last week, he was "destroyed" in his run-in. But, what we're ignoring is that he's getting his name and face out there. Slowly but surely, the guy is becoming credible. His name and his face are already associated with the WWE Main Event. With guys like Shawn Michaels, HHH, Kevin Nash, Ric Flair, Booker T, Chris Jericho. That's elevation. That's something that may, someday down the road, lead to a main event guy.

Talk about HHH all you want. The fact is, he's not the only guy on the show anymore. He's barely asked to cary a segment or two, much less a main event match. Yeah he's the champion, but that doesn't mean that he's the reason the ratings are where they are.

Hmmm, lets see, if say 200 of the IWC who are self avowed HHH haters decide to boycott Raw if he wins, and they each manage to convince all of their best friends to boycott...NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. We need to realize that we are not important to RAW, to the WWE, or to anyone save our own families and friends. We are not the only butts in the seats, we are not the only ones buying merchandise. We are far fewer in number, and who we like and don't like is not necessarily the same as the vast majority of fans who are not making our feelings known on the internet. We are entitled to our opinions, (and frankly some of the anti-HHH stuff is on the mark, some of it is not), but when push comes to shove, until vince decides his future son in law is not making him money, HHH is going to stay where he is. When someone else comes along that Vince is more enamoured with, HHH will be bounced. What we say, do, or think about it is just that, what we say do, and think about it. Our opinion has value, but will not change a thing. So, boycott if you will, leave the IWC forever, stop watching wrestling on "Benoit should be the Champ" principal if you will, and I will see you at your next boycott, and when you return to the Wienerboard.

The following post expresses the opinions of a raving Jerichoholic. He is biased, opinionated and bitter. You have been warned.

Boycotting Raw if Triple H wins is like boycotting the Red Sox if their bullpen blows or almost blows a game. It's always going to happen no matter what we do. Maybe Tim Wakefield should be the champion.

Raw rating was 3.3 if there was ever a need for a change, now is the time. If the advertisers know anything its ratings. If they did their homework and saw the decline since HHH has been champ then they will walk. Unfortuantly, they don't do the homework or pressure Vince. So, we are stuck

In theory, a boycott of RAW sounds nice, but I'm afraid most of us are too 'addicted', for lack of a better word, to the show to quit watching. I also don't think the WWE gives a damn about what anyone within arms reach of a computer has to say about his show, much less me, someone who isn't in his key demographic.

I've long come to the realization that Booker T. will never hold the title that he once held 5 times, if he's going to have to win it from HHH. Give up that thought. While Booker has the size, he doesn't have other components that Vince deems worthy of his Champ.

As far as ratings, they do need to do something new. I know a few people who have quit watching RAW after hearing about HHH's romantic life and backstage stuff... but I think the important thing is to not let one person drive you away from the thing you enjoy. Don't watch for him if you don't like him.

There are 110 more minutes of the show to enjoy than gripe about the 15 that HHH may consume each week.
