The Yankees are just amazing. They should get that Seattle record for most wins this year.
The Twins intentionally walk Bernie Williams and "Godzilla" Matsui hits a grand slam. The team has no weakness at any position. (Kind of like my fantasy team. Everyone else is playing for second.

Ohhhhh snap. You have Alan Embree on your fantasy team. Your pitching consits of David Wells (could collapse at any time), Mike Mussina (ok, good), and a bunch of suspects and unknowns.
I'm just reeling you in, sucka.
"May God bless our country and all who defend her."
I think the important question is, "How many Padres are too many?"
//edit: Is, Are... I hate grammar. I can't decide.

I'm STILL trying to figure out how I can be in second last place, especially with the outfield I currently have. BAH.
As for the Yankees, kudos for them for buying their way through a few games. Maybe they can buy their way to a World Series appearence only to lose to the ~EXPOS! =)

Since this has turned into an unofficial Wiener League talkback thread, I have one question: What trade was everyone so riled up about a few days back? I saw some vague references to it, but I wasn't sure. Glaus for Zeile?
Ah, who am I kidding. I'm just trying to start controversy. FIGHT! FIGHT!

Guru...I really really thought about the Villafuerte trade just to experiment "How many Padres are too many?"...but he's my only closer right now...
I still can't believe I'm in second, I know it won't last long but let me revel on it for a while, so far my 4 and 5 starters are doing better than the "Aces".
By the way, still looking for relievers and a 1B, make me an offer!
Braves are starting to show signs of life....bwaaaaahahah...almost said it with a straight face...aish!
Next week, finally I get to see the Expos playing here in Puerto Rico, I still say its gotta be one of the signs of the Apocalipse, but I won't complain. All i ask is please don't laugh to hard when you see the Bithorn Stadium...thank you.
Great League so far...good luck the rest of the way.
Just so you know, I offered you Worrell, who is currently ranked #4 in the league.
For Villafuerte. A rookie.
I can't really cough up much more than that. I guess I could have tried to tempt you with #1 rated Jake Peavey (who I got on waivers after refusing to trade for him early on).
Crazy like a fox, baby.

I know..but what will happen to Worrell after Nen come backs...aha! Who am I kidding...the way the Giants are going I should've thought about it more...but what the hell. Go rookie!
That's cold TheCow, just cold. I'll have you know once my pitchers start PITCHING then I'll be moving up too!
Hey Guru, Orasco is on waivers, eh? Thought you may like to know that one,

I don't think the question should be how many Padres are too much, it should be how many Devil Rays, Royals, and Tigers combined are too much. I think in my league out of 10 teams with two at each position less than 10 from all 3 of three of those teams have been claimed.
On-Topic: I don't think the Yankees bullpen is that bad. Osuna and Acevedo are pretty good. Soon they'll have Hammonds and Karsay to set up Rivera. With those 5 I don't see a problem.

My two Yankees combined for only 37 wins last year and there's no reason they can't do it again.
Embree is better than he's looked so far-right Red Sox fans...(Red Sox fans roll their eyes in disgust)
Anyway just because I've got a bunch of no-name pitchers doesn't mean they can't produce. Ricardo Rodriguez, Johan Santana, Josh Beckett, and Brett Myers are all young and can bring the heat even if most people never heard of them. Your led by Prior and Benson so I'd think you could relate.
Palpatine: your only closer is Mantei...are you punting saves? Your starting outfielder is Ben "freakin" Grieve and Roberto Alomar is still your DH. You still can't get any offers for him can you?
El - that wasn't directed at you. How's the view from down there, btw?
All kidding aside, though, my guys haven't been hitting too much. Yeah, they've been knocking runs in, but I'm about 100 points behind the leader in BA.
Once I start catching on, though - watch out. I haven't even begun to warm up yet.
