Wow. That's all I can say. Wow.
Are you joking? I hope you are cuz if you aren't you're just a retard. I can't believe what I just read.

LORDAZZINGTON, you're a great guy. "America's the evil one" "Iraq hasn't done anything to me, so I have no problems with them"
Are you serious? Do you know anything about history. Hitler hasn't done anything to me, just the poles. Eh, now it's just the Jews. Eh, just the Czechs. Eh, just the Belgians. Eh, just the French. But not me, so why should give a shit?

That's a good attitude. I thought you said they were people too. Apeasement doesn't work. Read a freaking history book.

We are freeing the Iraqi people. You do realize that, don't you? Do you realize how advanced our military is? You know we can bomb, and only kill the bad guys. We aren't slaughtering people, there is no sense in that.

LIONJEETSINGH "The majority of Iraq DOES NOT wish for Americans to help liberate them..." Umm, how do you know? I'm glad you speak for the majority of Iraqi people. "This was ir an illegal act of agression that was done without UN approval, therefore Canada had every right not to participate" The UN is a joke. You realize that don't you? No country should need UN approval to do something. Ever heard of sovereingty? Global Governmentalism cannot work, I'm sorry. And by the way, the Canadians are actually participating in the war. While they aren't fighting, they are providing logistics.

Look, Iraq lost the Gulf War. When a country loses a war, they must follow the guidelines set by the winners. That is the way it works. Iraq has not followed those guidelines. See, Iraq is like a parolee. They get out of jail, and are trusted to reform. They have to meet with their PO, get a job, and take drug tests, among other things. Iraq hasn't followed these rules. The UN doesn't want to do anything about it, because, well the UN just isn't what is used to be. It really isn't and I personally think the US should pull out. Anyway, it is now up to the coalition to free the Iraqi people.

Why shouldn't the WWE make the correct stance on the war? It certainly appeals to their audience. NASCAR does the same thing. And I'm sure that the WWE employees feel very strongly about this subject.
Do you go on celebrity message boards and tell them to take a neutral stance?

http://mcns.blogspot.com/2003_03_01_mcns_archive.html
"A group of American anti-war demonstrators who came to Iraq with Japanese human shield volunteers made it across the border today with 14 hours of uncensored video, all shot without Iraqi government minders present. Kenneth Joseph, a young American pastor with the Assyrian Church of the East, told UPI the trip "had shocked me back to reality." Some of the Iraqis he interviewed on camera "told me they would commit suicide if American bombing didn't start. They were willing to see their homes demolished to gain their freedom from Saddam's bloody tyranny. They convinced me that Saddam was a monster the likes of which the world had not seen since Stalin and Hitler. He and his sons are sick sadists. Their tales of slow torture and killing made me ill, such as people put in a huge shredder for plastic products, feet first so they could hear their screams as bodies got chewed up from foot to head."

The WWF operates in the United States of America, and the vast majority of their revenue comes from American fans spending American dollars on their American product. So, in wartime, it's not smart, economically, to say "F*CK AMERICA" if they're the ones paying you to work!!

Geez, there's a reason that Vince McMahon is an Evil Billionaire: He knows how to make money. As seen with the Sable & Goldberg signings...he also knows how to BLOW money.

In Response to Lion Jeet Singh, obviously a Canadian tree-hugging hippie Communist I say this: Fuck the UN. Now that we have defeated the Soviet Union and are the only remaining Super Power - we can do what we want, when we want, without needing permission from the UN or anybody else. Why? Simple - beacuse NO ONE CAN STOP US! This from a veteran, and Father of a trooper currently in Iraq. Keep your ass in Canada!

How exactly do you liberate a nation by dropping bombs on them?

Ask France, Poland, Belgium, the German people that were oppressed by the Nazis, Afghanistan, etc.

The majority of Iraq DOES NOT wish for Americans to help liberate them...

When did you take this poll? It seems to me that the vast majority of Iraqis that escaped that country (you know, the ones that are free to speak their true feelings) seem to be all for freeing their families and the Iraqi people from the oppression and terror of the Saddam regime.

This war is an illegal act of agression that was done without UN approval

The UN and the countries opposed to this aren't the ones that Saddam and the terrorists are scheming against. It's not a coincidence that the countries providing the greatest opposition (France, Germany, and Russia) have a major financial interest in Iraq.

America does not have the right to police the world..

Who's policing the world? We're protecting ourselves. Like I said before, Saddam and the terrorists have their bullseye on 2 targets, the U.S. and Israel. We have every right to protect ourselves. Screw the U.N. and any other country that doesn't like it!

This will only lead to more terrorist attacks...

I think it's just the opposite. I think it will slow them down. They've been committing terrorists acts for decades and we tried to handle each act one at a time. The terrorism escelated slowly (with no damn help from the U.N.) until it culminated on Sept. 11. That was the day the U.S. decided to take care of this problem at a cumulative level instead of just sitting back and waiting to handle it one case at a time AFTER the terrorists took out hundreds or thousands of innocent Americans.

I hope our leaders always remember who was with us and who was against us. I know many Americans will remember who our true allies are.

Damn, never thought I would discuss this on a wrestling message board.

Dammit, I guess we have no choice.

OK, we'll send Sgt. Slaughter to terrify schoolchildren and ask for his country back.

HAPPY?!?!?

Yes. Politics forum. Guess what? I don't want to know where you all stand on the war. And I don't want to share my standing on the war. I don't want to know who you people vote, if you're right wing or left wing or centrist or catholic or jew or racist or whatnot. I avoid the politics forum so that if one of you shares a viewpoint that i find utterly retarded, such as the idea that: that ________ is evil, or ________ is too stupid to run a country or we have the right to bomb __________, then I won't have to see it.

And if we call each other idiots and retards over something as trivial as wrestling, we're going to be making death threats over something of the importance that the war is.

This is wrestling. He asked if we think it is right for JR to blurt out jingoistic slogans that have nothing to do with wrestling. And no, sorry, but only an idiot would argue that having family in a war means the war has anything to do with the imaginary character you play on TV. Sorry, it doesn't. Does that mean if I'm playing Hamlet in a stage show and my 2003 American cousin goes to fight in the 2003 war, Hamlet all of sudden breaks into God Bless America instead of "to be or not to be". And Claudius suddenly sports a turban. I for one, think the WWE has a responsibility to air the statements supporting their troops. Any nation would do this. However for commentators, who act as the moral compass of the show, to blurt phrases from Stallone movies in regards to a military conflict is unprofessional. I don't watch wrestling to be told by JR who is good and evil and who should kick who's ass in a war. He should shut his fat-fuck ass and do his job, instead of turning an apolitical platform into his personal toilet. And no, I'm not stating whether I'm anti-war or pro-war, I say the same think for Michael Moore at the Oscars who bandied an opposing sentiment. He was just as wrong. It's not about what these guys are saying, but the place the chose to say it. Shut the fuck up, I don't want to hear your stance on the war. That's what the news is for. There are times and places. Go on Larry King Live. Don't soil my wrestling pay-per-view with one-sided propoganda that would embarrass even Stalin.

No, that was not meant to imply Stalin was a good guy.

I would argue that J.R.'s character is a patriotic, good ol' boy, cowboy from the south-west--so telling the boys to get Saddam isn't out of his character at all.

A quick message to LordDazzington from the Wienerboard's resident anti-war leftist:

You aren't helping.

Thank you, and that's enough of this. We've got about eighty posts in the Politics forum that are somewhat more intelligent versions of this thread, so just take it down there if you're interested.

"Like an Iraqi soldier dressed in civilian clothes, Fox News has crept in under the false cover of objectivity to unleash a blitzkrieg of bias so right wing that channel-surfers often mistake it for a eugenics infomercial. The only nod at an actual exchange of ideas is Hannity bitch-slapping the hapless Colmes while slobbering permaguest Bill Bennett slowly undoes his belt buckle in anticipation of giving that liberal fucker his final comeuppance. It's enough to scare the teeth right out of Ann Coulter's vagina"

And doing nothing stops them? Get your head out of the sand. And exactly what poll did you use to give us the "FACT" that most Iraqi's don't want to be liberated?

Finally...we are not dropping bombs on THEM...have you seen any of the info on the targeting used for the bombing raids?

To bring it back to the WWE...and the Wrestling Forum...that's what this is right? The WWE is a company in business to make money, primarily in America. What purpose in all Hell would "praising Iraq" or speaking aganst America serve to those ends?
