There is no rhyme or reason to any of these. Just things that kind of stuck out in my mind...for whatever that's worth.

How funny was Bischoff trying to pronounce medical terms?

In regards to Trips, I'm just not digging the red trunks - though they sure beat the hell out of those ones he wore for WM that looked like the Easter Bunny threw up on them. He made Hurricane look great. Flair stealing kids mask was classic!

Rosie is not only a sloppy dresser - but a sloppy wrestler, too. I could have lived without that match.

I hope Jericho washed his little outfit from WM.

RVD and Kane get belts! Good for them.

Rock Appreciation Night = hilarious!!! Rock can sell anything. I love that guy. The guys in the back (stage crew, etc.) got more air time last night than the last five years combined! Not only does Rock put over many wrestlers - he even puts over the stage crew!!!

There is only room enough for one huge, baldy, goatee wearing, flashing eyes, type of guy on the Raw roster. Welcome to SD Steve.

I utilized my mute button waaay too much last night. Was it me or was JR/King abnormally obnoxious last night??? I thought my ears were bleeding. Horrible.

Worth the price of parking: Flair stealing the Hurricane mask from the kid.
Worth the price of admission: Rock v Goldberg beginning

First of all, welcome to the club, JERSEY GIRL! Okay, now that that's out of the way, I have to say that Raw was pretty darn good last night too. I'm ecstatic that HHH and Booker T are still going at it, and that Jericho put the Walls on HBFruity. Don't get me wrong, he's a talent, but I REFUSE to join the Goldberg Fan Club. But, The Rock did his thing (damn well as always) and I'll miss it so when he goes off to promote that Helldoraro movie thing or whatever..

As far as Bichoff's explanation of Austin's injury, I was just sitting there wondering what the difference between the C-7 and C-6. It was almost like a bingo game with all those letters and numbers!

Rico deserves better, that's all I have to say about that.

Jericho makes me happy more and more.

JR and the King continued their marital spat from the previous evening, and I basically just ignored them.

Test is a big stupid doofus. No wonder Steph embarrassed his ass. He's just SO lame.

Chris Nowinski has a million times more charisma than Maven (and a billion more than Test).

A good show, started slow, but I had a good feeling afterwards, so I'm happy. Once again, welcome.

Ringmistress

P.S. Hunter's red trunks reminded me of Billy and Chuck (not good), so what the hell? Purple for spring!

We miss you already, Kurt!

C-7's just below C-6 and just above T-1. They're the vertebrae of the neck. I think certain cranial nerves come out of those vertebrae and if the bones fuse, bad things happen, but I dunno. I'll defer to Stephanie.

Was it me or was JR/King abnormally obnoxious last night???

I'd go with abnormally obnoxious, but I dunno. Lawler's probably been doing it forever, but for the last few weeks I've noticed that, whenever anyone's in the ring giving an interview, Lawler repeats the last word they said as a question - kinda like Austin's "What?", but more like Chinese Water Torture. And JR and that bitterness... damn, so I guess in the next two weeks we have another JR ass beating in the ring? Are they running another tour through Oklahoma already?

Re: Triple H's trunks - Purple for spring!
Or... maybe he's Catholic and wearing purple to remind himself he gave up jobbing for Lent? j/k :). I dunno, it's kind of like when Chris Benoit wore those god-awful purple tights. There's just some people you don't picture as wearing that shade of purple, and those guys are two prime examples. I just think we've seen HHH in black trunks for so long that we're in shock and don't know how to handle these colors. They're too bright for him - maybe if he wore something like the really dark blue that Randy Orton used to wear? I do like that he keeps the Iron Cross-like logo thing on his tights, no matter what the color. [I think he does, anyway-did I hallucinate that?]

So this is the elusive Goldberg? I've never seen him wrestle before, so it's kind of hard to make a judgement on what they showed last night, but we'll see...

What happened to the other half of 3 Minute Warning? I'm not complaining, just curious.

I cleverly missed the first 18 minutes of the show. (It probably sounds better to cite "technical difficulties", but in fact, I was out & had forgotten to put in a tape. I digress.) But having looked at a couple of recaps, didn't sound like I missed all that much. Except...

Aw, damn! I would have loved to hear what all they had Bisch saying about Austin's neck! I always thing all that orthopaedic stuff is too cool. And I haven't yet found anybody who chose to recap all the details. :-)

I hadn't noticed Lawler being particularly annoying lately. They certainly are going somewhere with JR being so livid about the Austin firing. And plotlines including JR do not generally make me happy. Hey, maybe he's going to "quit" so he can take a couple of weeks off & sell cookbooks. Probably all part of an uprising against Bischoff storyline.

See, the purple trunks are just for ME-ME-ME. HHH knows that purple is my favourite colour, so he got those just as a WM treat for me. (*ahem*) I'm fine with the red ones, I'm fine with the purple ones. Stevie Richards pink would probably be a bad thing.

I thought HHH & Hurricane was fun. I'm soooo much happier to watch him getting to work with some better guys, after that 2 month Steiner exercise.

I loved Flair stomping on the mask. (I hope the kid was a plant. Otherwise, that's gonna be years of therapy!) And then later in the trainer's room with Booker T. Good stuff.

Odd that they had Kane broach the subject of he & RVD breaking up. And then not. Odd thing to seed.

What was the whole deal about Nowinski's "$30K face"? I know he's been missing for a while, although I didn't know why. I recall that he had that jaw surgery thing last November-ish. Did I miss something about him having (in plotline) cosmetic surgery to make himself even more beautiful???

Did Steiner drop Nowinski badly on his head? Looked pretty unpleasant.

Y2J seems to have been working on his crescendo during his promos -- start off kinda quiet & intense, & then build up. Its working well.

Shawn Michaels really has to take that Walls of Jericho awkwardly, doesn't he? (Where exactly was his back problem? Somewhere around T12 / L1 maybe? :-) Maybe we need a "Smarks' Guide to the Human Spine" article somewhere.)

Stevie Richards was doing his best to get as much of Jeff's blue paint all over him as he possibly could! (Kinky.) When Jeff & Trish were standing there, staring into one anothers'eyes, all I could think of was that song "And they call it Puppy Love"...

Goldie's "affliction" ratting out Test's sliminess! Loved it! He's managing to do something useful with this weird premise, astonishing as that may be. (Is there an RSPW Award for "Best at Making Something out of Nothing"??)

I've always wondered exactly where you'd wear the purple camoflage that D'Von usually wears. Last night's though -- its for hiding in a bowl of guacamole!

I want to look at the Kane/RVD et al match again. I'm thinking there was some particularly fun stuff in there. Do we suppose that the deal was : in exchange for putting you on Heat, we'll give you the belts?

The line of the night was from Rocky, when the crowd started a premature "Goldberg" chant : "Don't think you're cool because you know the Rock's accountant, Ira Goldberg."

Just like with Scott Steiner, I don't have the WCW history with Bill Goldberg that a lot of people do. Are they going to go the whole month without having him actually work a match, like they did with Steiner? If they do, I'm going to get preltty skeptical about his ability to produce either. I'll wait for them to actually show me something ...

OK, so I guess I'm off to the main board to wade through the morass of "HHH sux" posts. Wish me luck!

Back me up on this one ladies, isn't Stevie Richards the best valet (male or female) out there? He really knows how to complement Victoria the way a valet should, even when he's the one doing the wrestling. I adored him on Monday. He really does great with whatever the writers throw at him. I just wish they'd let him win every now and then.

Thank you for your kind welcome, it's nice to have a place to bitch...I mean chat.

Ringmistress, I'm with you, Rico does deserve better. And this just may be his chance to get it.

JR and King. You know, they usually never bother me. I wouldn't go outright defending them or anything, don't get me wrong, but stick up for them once in awhile? Maybe once in awhile. Monday, they were beyond annoying and bordered on downright excruciating to listen to. They both needed reality to come smack them upside their heads and knock some sense into them. And the most frustrating part of all this - I'm STUCK listening to them. Yeah, I can mute, but that only saves me from what? One...maybe two references to puppies? Maybe a brief reprieve from one of JR's temper tantrums?

Yeah, I'm all about another JR ass whoopin.

Goldberg, he's an interesting sort of beast. The kind of interesting like...grass growing or paint drying. I'm kind of indifferent on his return. If the writers use him well, good for us. If they succumb to their usual agenda, bad for us. I did notice he calmed down a bit on the twitching and I thought: 1) he's not amped up like usual before a match or 2) Golddust new gimmick infringement. Lucky for us, however, Rhyno is on SD, which means Goldy2 can execute the Spear, I mean Gore, I mean...whatever - isn't that move going away??? I suppose he's a bit of eye candy, though it was hard to tell underneath that jacket, but he was worthy of an ogle or two back in WCW. Here's to when he strips! ((this IS a chick's posting area))

RVD & Kane - I just don't know about these two. I hate to say it, it pains me, but RVD sucks. Someone who is that flexible and with that ass - should not have such a dumbass character. It just makes him unlikable. Now I await the barrage of hate replys.

Nowinski - not sure what the shield thing was about - but made for some funny shit when Steiner slammed his face into the ring!

It did bring a smile to my face when Trips was smacking around HBK who was (and yes, Emma, def awkward) "writhing" in pain in the Walls. Did you guys notice how "writhing" apparently was the catch phrase of the evening?

But still, outnumbering your enemies and beating the crap out of them, in dress pants even, does NOT excuse purple trunks! I know, Emma, he wore them for you - but is scarred me. I have tiny little purple trunk shaped scars burned into my retinas now thanks to him and his lack of fashion sense. I don't like the red either - but at least they're tolerable! He should wear black. Period. Or nothing, that of course would work well enough, too.

Just a second...I need to get something out of my system about Goldberg coming to WWE...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trips looked AWFUL in those trunks.

The Rosey/Maven match was AWFUL as well...even my ten year old sister could tell me when spots were blown. Rico does indeed deserve better.

Jericho was great as always. But my mom made a good point...he looked he'd been taking his steroids. Did anyone see the vein popping out of his neck? Not that it bothers me at all, but it was a bit weird.

Nowinski's mask thing was cute.

Was anyone else expecting Stone Cold to come down the ring in a beer truck during Rock Appreciation Night? (since it would be just like the WWE to repeat that?)

Once again, Goldberg? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right behind you. I think he's just perfect for her. I love it when she poses in the ring on her entrance, & he just cuddles up next to her waist. I never found him particularly interesting before (even with Jazz), but this pairing really works.

I don't think you're going to get many hate replies to that. He is a cutie, & it is an adorable ass. But I agree -- the character doesn't do much for me at all. I do think he's been working on some of the ring basics that we've complained about in the past. The pathetic "RVD forearms" that were the worst have mostly disappeared. He still occasionally throws an unconvincing kick or punch, but most of the opponents have stopped selling those, so we can think of it as a bluff or a miss, rather than just slop. And it feels to me like he's making a real effort to make the flashy spots blend better into the flow of the match. If he can keep up the imrovements in those areas, then maybe it becomes worthwhile to work on giving him some more character depth. C'mon, Rob -- that ass is worth it!!

You know, if the boys can have Torrie Wilson naked in Playboy, I don't know why we shouldn't get HHH & some of the other beefy wrestlers naked. I could get into that. And if Jerry Lawler can do a Playboy photo shoot, I'd like to suggest that the Women of Wienerville get access to the superstars of our choice for a photo shoot. :-)

Now, just taking a wild guess here...you don't like Goldberg, yeah? :-)

Emma - it wasn't until I read your post that I realized - the boys DO have playboy - and we get nothing!!! Sure - we get those pseudo naked pics in Flex, a glimpse of undies now and again (only time I ever rooted for Steiner was that night), an ass, and the occasional pose down. What the F?
Is that Playgirl mag still around?

I second that motion.

Toast: Richards found his niche with Victoria. They are a perfect compliment to each other.

I believe Playgirl is still around, but its been a lot of years since we were the target audience for it, if'n you know what I mean. I don't think any of the "naked men for women" magazines ever got the magic formula for what we really want. And the "naked men for men" market is soooo profitably alluring. Its a nuisance.

Hey, he streaked an entire arena -- a photo spread is only reasonable. Hunter gets the centerfold, of course. (Watch the staple placement.) I'd buy it!

Something about A-Train and charm in the same sentence I find disturbing. LOL In regards to old faces, it wouldn't be so bad if it were one or two, or just Sting, but there's SO many - it borders on scary.
