Okay, too soon to say, even for a Negative Nellie like myself, but wasn't a good deal of the Goldberg mystique tied up in the pyro heavy entrance?
Goldberg is at RAW tonight, says Da Meltz. But he makes his in ring return at Backlash in stately Worcester, says WWE. There we'll get the thunderous drums, the gladiatorial entrance music... and no pyro.
Worcester is only an hour from Providence (If those gentleman's club ads are anything to go by.) Indoor pyro is kind of a hinky thing for some reason.
It won't ruin it, obviously, but it won't help. Better book him mega-strong to compensate. Yo think they'll give him another win streak? I'm sure DeMott will be happy to lay down for him 60 more times.
I thought the Mass law was for smaller venues only? I seem to remember them saying that the law didn't affect large venues like the FleetCenter, etc. Ah, I'm too lazy to look it up online. Either way, I hope they pipe in the chants. (just for comedic value)
Well at Summerslam last year which was in RI Long Island, you might've noticed that they didn't use any pyro there either...as far as I can remember anyway. I remember Angle didn't have his pyro. Nor did Jericho. And HBK had confetti.
Hey, what about a confetti shower for Goldberg?

speaking of pyro and hbk, was anyone else amazed by the level of pyro that he had in his entrance last night? not only did we get the in-ring pyro, but we ALSO got the above-entranceway pyro right after that. AND the confetti shooters (hbk praying for the last confetti shooter to work was great, btw). not really a comment meant to go anywhere, i was just amused by it all..

That may be. Problem is, the Centrum is tiny. I mean, it's not a closet, but it doesn't even hold 15,000 for wrestling events. It won't go up like a roman candle, but we may see the pyro use sparse at best.
In a related story, 15,000 for a PPV? Someone wants to make sure it sells out. I don't think Worcester's had a PPV since Slamboree '98, though I could be wrong.

Summerslam last year was in Long Island, not Rhode Island.
Translated from Australian, Nathan Jones means El Gigante's less talented smaller brother.

Its been a number of years since I attended a Raw in Worchester but the pyro was used that night. THings may have changed since.

The coyote goes...Eh, we'll have to wait and see on this one. It's reported that it's gonna be HHH/Goldberg, although I, as well as a group of others, would rather see Austin/Goldberg, or Brock/Goldberg.
On a side note, all the HHHaters should be reveling right now. HHH has a very good chance of suffering an injury.

RAW SPOILER.........
Last chance to look away...........
From 411 who stole from 1Bob: - Goldberg is scheduled to make his WWE debut tonight on RAW and start a feud with the Rock. The two are slated to headline the Backlash PPV. After that, the plan is to have Goldberg feud with Triple H leading up to the first ever RAW-only PPV, Bad Blood. The two are set to headline that show in a match for the World Heavyweight Title. WWE did not put Booker T over Triple H at WrestleMania because they wanted to keep Triple H as a strong heel opponent for Goldberg.
- Kevin Nash is also expected to return tonight on RAW under the Diesel gimmick. Nash already had his hair died pure black at Axxess, which is an obvious sign of things to come. WWE felt that the fans did not respond to Kevin Nash as himself last year after the nWo fell apart, which is why they are going with the Diesel return.

Hogan said the following in an interview on WWE.comI just saw that Goldberg is coming in here. If he comes in here and hangs out more than weekend, I’d love to get a hold of his ass
As Bart Simpson would say, "That's funny on sooo many levels."
So whoever gets a shot at Hunter's title at Backlash is disposable, because no way is he going to drop it before he faces Goldberg at BB.
Hmm.
Oh, Booker?...
"next to of course god america i love you land of the pilgrims' and so forth oh say can you see by the dawn's early my country tis of centuries come and go and are no more what of it we should worry in every language even deafanddumb thy sons acclaim your glorious name by gorry by jingo by gee by gosh by gum why talk of beauty what could be more beaut- iful than these heroic happy dead who rushed like lions to the roaring slaughter they did not stop to think they died instead then shall the voice of liberty be mute?"
What about A Golden shower for Goldberg? I mean Dx pissed on motercycles. Maybe the Pyro will finally set Golbergs ass on fire, though I still wouldn't use my bodily fluids to save him.
Worcester (Wustah) uses pyro for wrestling- or they did last time I was there for Raw. I think it's just the state of Rhode Island that is going through pyro reform, not Massachusetts too.
InDEED (on both parts). Speaking of which: Monte, how was that Crazy/Moore/Funaki triple threat match? I'm surprised The E doesn't do more of those for the Cruiserweight Division. Also, I might've missed it on TV (since I usually miss Smackdown)
