Yes, interesting but remember things aren't always as they seem. The Vengeance poster from 2001 is a perfect example. There are others I cannot remember

I hope that vince is suddenly seeing the awesomeness that mat based wrestling can give. But I have to agree with Rush4life, in that Posters don't mean shit.
Every PPV poster comes out and everyone jumps around and makes up rumors based on the poster. When even WWE has says the posters are made a couple months ahead of time so the image really is just a promtional thing. SO just casue the poster shows something don't jump into the lies.
Example, one year a poster had a big picture of Kane wiht the Undertaker symbol in his eye and everyone made rumors that Taker was going to team back up wiht Kane or help Kane in some way. And when the ppv came around, they had no interaction at all.
Another example is, back when WWE had Vengence for the first time in December, and the posters and promos had HHH all over them. HHH was out with his injury at this time and everyone made "reports" that HHH would show up, again like the first example, HHH was no where on the ppv.
Cool poster, I am going to have to get it from the bar down the street when they get it. But as people have said, the promo poster usually doesn't have much to do with the PPV. It used to, but now with this day-to-day booking WWE has, they don't mean much.
January 4th 1999 - The day WCW injected itself with 10 gallons of Liquid Anthrax...AKA...The day Hogan "Defeated" Nash to win the WCW title in front of 40,000.
I am kind of surprised that this has come up again. I figured we have all gone through this for at least the last 3 years about posters and their meaning. Oh well, no big deal.

Saw this ad in the new Raw magazine. I know it means nothing becuase they're done months in advance, but I think the coolest thing about it is that Shelton and Charlie are looking at Kurt like they're about to turn on him. Wicked.
I just think that it's awesome that Shelton and Charlie are on a poster for a PPV. It's at least if not more exciting than when RVD was on that poster a few PPVs back. Looking ahead, maybe some day we will see Jeff Hardy on a poster. *Right*!!
Definite points go to SchippeWreck's comment about Tag Team Angle's evil eyes toward leader Angle. That is definitely a nice touch of creepy ambiguity.

(edited by socetew on 30.3.03 0324) A la la la la, I can't hear you.
That's exactly why I posted the poster in the first place.
I of course know that the posters don't mean anything, but just the eeriness of the expressions on the faces of Team Angle caught my eye. Plus below there are three shadows on the stage, which look like Kurt and Team Angle.
I know posters are made in advance, but I just wonder why the poster was made that way -- like what was the original intentions for Backlash?
Awesome poster too...didn't expect to see Benjamin and Hass on there.
That was one of the things I saw in that poster. That does add an element of creepiness which was cool! Yes, good call on RVD on a poster, it was Survivor Series last fall he was on the poster.

I know WWE just hired new designers for their merchandise (it's been pretty obvious with the release of awesome t-shirts as of late) so it's possible they might have a new graphics guy too.
When I first saw the poster, I thought for a split second that the pics of Angle/Haas/Shelton were drawn but nah, they're just touched up really well. Very good work indeed.
I know it makes no sense but that would be funny if Team Angle had their own team. Team Team Angle....meh. I'll be quiet now. Heh.
I was wondering if anybody new if Ken Shamrock is the Champ for the entire NWA or just TNA? I know they have one champ who defends on shows for any NWA affliate, but alot of times there is also a champ for just that one fed.
