Ok...

Giles comes with a magic stone see if he can't turn off the trigger that makes Spike kill. Meanwhile, Willow gets a call from Fred. The stone causes Spike to flash back to reading his "great poetry" to his mom, at which point she sings him the trigger song, causing him to freak out in realtime. Everybody discusses the signifcance of this, when Buffy decides to let Spike off his chains. Giles and Wood take exception to this, but Buffy isn't having any of it.

Wood tells Giles about his mom and his desire to kill Spike, and Giles relents, because he's worried Spike will kill again. So Giles takes Buffy away while Woods takes Spike to his late night "killin'" shack (a garage with a hundred crosses nailed to the walls).

Wood downloads Spike's trigger song and plays it causing Spike to have another flashback, this time about he and Dru siring his mom. While Wood is beating down Spike, Giles is lecturing Buffy on how to be a leader.

Spike is still flashbacking, now about his vampire mom calling him out for being a wussie, a momma's boy, and having an Oedipus complex (?!). Meanwhile, Wood is talking about taking revenge for his mom. Giles lectures Buffy on the concept of acceptable sacrifices in war.

Spike snaps out of his visions after he remembers slaying his mom and kicks Wood's ass. He tells Wood that his mother loved him, unlike Wood's mom (who's slaying duties were more important to her than Wood), it was the demon inside her that made her say those things, and that he forgives her and he isn't under control of the First anymore. To prove it, he plays the song again and is fine.

Then, he pulls an Angel on Wesley and attacks Wood again, but he lets him go. Later, Buffy tells Wood that next time Spike attacks him, Wood will die, and she'll let it go. She can't have him running around on a stupid vendetta. Wood leaves and Giles comes in to appologize for letting Spike die, but Buffy informs him that Spike is fine. Giles is a bit peeved, and Buffy tells him that there's nothing more that Giles should try to teach her.

The End.

Hope that was in depth enough...

What didn't you want to happen?

You wanted Spike to kill Wood?

SPOILERS, HUGE F'N SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to see if the episodes matched up to the episode to the post I saw on a Buffy message board. Apperantly, the post is true. I guess, we have a new villian coming for the final five episodes, its a fallen priest played by one of the Firefly crew members. This guy must be empowered by something, because he kills one of the slayerettes, takes out Xandner's eye and beats the shit out of Buffy. After this, Faith and the Scoobies leave Buffy. Angel comes in makes out with Buffy infront of Spike. Buffy gets the strenght to beat the shit out of the priest and save the slayerettes and the gang. She gets a powerful weapon. Two core Buffy characters die in the finale. end of spoilers.

No one has a clue on what the finale is going to be since they are waiting on the decision for Faith: Series and Angel. The idea is to give it over to Faith, but I don't kow yet.

A Fan- I'm really pissed about the Xander thing and since he lost an eye, I'm thinking he is one of the first to die.

My guess would be that Anya is going to be one of the ones to die, since Emma Caulfield said that she wouldn't want to be part of a Buffy spin-off.

As for Xander, that seems crazy, because Nicholas Brendon said he would join the cast of a spin-off, as did James Marsters. I'd like to see Dawn and the slayerettes go, personally.

I am wondering if the slayerette that is going to buy it is Kennedy. They said at least two or more core cast members if there is no spin-off then what?

A Fan- Jesus, will someone in the higher ups at least renew Angel.

Kennedy is the only SIT with any personality, really the only one that has stood out in this weak storyline.. really, did we need like 100000 fucking SITs? 2 or 3 could've served their purpose just as well, and they actually could've FLESHED OUT the characters too. The way things have been going, I think that the characters will end up killing each other, considering the First can't touch anything. God, what a wacky time.

The thing is that they were really going for the "We're bringing ALL the potential Slayers to Sunnydale. The many Slayerettes show the magnitude and scope of the missions of both the good and bad sides this time around.

I think the personality issue comes and goes depending on how much or little each writer feels like writing about it. Dawn's classmate, the black slayerette, Kennedy, terrible beenie slayerette and Chloe have all had some sort of charactor over the course of the season, though only Kennedy has been latched onto (of course Chloe was killed off).

I'd say that Anya and Faith are two members of the cast to go, even with Emma Caulfield campaining for Joss not to kill her off (even though she's leaving the show). I doubt that Buffy will, because SMG has stated in the past that she'd be willing to work guest shots on any spin-off.

And, Fan, I wouldn't get TOO worked up. They've changed the endings around the last two years in a row because spoilers were leaked. Could happen this year too.

So, we're waiting another 3 WEEKS for the next episode? That makes one new episode in a 2-month span. I know they usually take a mini-hiatus this time of the season, but this is ridiculous. Talk about killing the show's momentum...

I wish they made chocolate Advent calendars for WrestleMania, although I'd skip the Mark Henry day.

If you want to bitch about a show going on 3 week hiatuses, bitch about Angel. There has always been at least 2 new episodes of Buffy every month since September. That means there are only 5 Buffy episodes left. I think the show definitely needs a break leading up to the final hurrah. And they have to have the big finale in May. Breaking the show's momentum would be having an episode with a lot happening, then taking a hiatus from it. To me, that's what Angel did with the start of Rain of Fire, when they went on a 7 week hiatus.

Three weeks of reruns is reasonable for a show. Any longer than that, then there is just cause to complain. It could be a lot worse. You could wait 7 weeks (like for Angel), or 10+ weeks (like for a new episode of Futurama). Compared to those shows, the output of new Buffy episodes has been exceptionally good. Besides, with the series coming to a conclusion, I'd rather they not rush it or else there won't be anything to look forward to in May.

I think Dawn is definitely going to bite it. They've been talking the past couple of episodes about how Buffy knows she will have to make sacrifices. SHe even said in the last episode that she knows that if it means saving the world she would sacrifice Dawn so I think it's foreshadowing that she is going to go. Since Faith is tied up and won't be doing a spinoff then really the only other options is a Willow spinoff so you can't kill Willow, and if Xander says he'd be willing to be on the spinoff then I would definitely let him be on it since him and Willow have been there since the beginning. But there's still lots of other possibilities. Since Buffy doesn't need Giles anymore he could go. Anya really doesn't do anything. Even though I don't want it to happen I could very easily see Spike going too. But there's also Wood, Kennedy and Andrew who are regular characters now.

The problem for me is that the spoiler said core cast member, so anyone added to this season doesn't really count ie Kennedy and Woods. It doesn't mean they won't buy it, its just not them. I know Anya is probably gone even though she is funny without demon powers or being with Xander she is kinda useless. Anya is pretty much a given to die now comes the hard choices. Masters, Brenden and Stewart-head have asked to do spinoffs, Giles getting his own show on the BBC while Xander and Spike want to be either on Angel or the new spinoff. Alyson is on the fence, but since Eliza won't be doing Faith then Willow as a spin-off is the next best thing. Dawn would be the easiest choice since most of the fans hate her and it may reset the world if things go bad. I'd pick Dawn and Anya but I got a feeling the core means the core of four: Buffy, Giles, Xander and Willow.

A Fan- Either way, its going to get messy.

Buffy fans...here? Amazing.

anyway, I got alot of skinny on the buffy spoilers.

-The Priest dude A Fan was talking about is named Caleb. I've seen pics of him in character and stuff.

-Eliza Dushku who plays Faith turned down the Faith spin-off idea (grr...) since she instead accepted a pilot for Fox which has her as a coroner who talks to the dead. (Hello? "Haunted" revisited?)

-One main cast member IS going to die this season (most believe it'll be Anya or Xander)(of course this was already mentioned aboce)

-The rumor going around now is that they might do a spinoff revolving around some of the S.I.T.'s with Willow as the lead as their mentor of sorts. Still no word from Ms. Hannigan if she's accepted the deal or not.

I would've loved to see the Faith spinoff. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't irked by Dushku not signing on for the series. I mean this new show of hers...I believe the working title is "Heroine" would get the Friday night death slot on Fox. And worst of all, it sounds like the same plot as Haunted and we all know where that went.

There's alot of spoilage out on the next few episode of Buffy. I don't remember all the details right now but if anyone's hungry for some, spoilerslayer.com is my regular stop.

As for Angel, it has just been unbelievable this season. Totally off the charts. I didn't follow the last few seasons religiously but i'm just hooked here. I'm hoping Angel gets renewed, WB hasn't announced it yet though.

btw, for the guy who missed this week's ep, if you're on broadband, I suggest looking thru Kazaa or find out about BitTorrents (another p2p type thing). I actually got this week's Buffy and watched it on Tuesday before it was on in the East Coast.

I was thinking about doing the Kazaa thing, but luckily my friend taped it and I'm going to watch it on Sunday. I am downloading Flair/Steamboat now, so any Buffy stuff has to wait.

I do agree Angel has been really amazing this season. I think it has to do with a number of factors. They seemed to really cut loose this season with all the characters and plots instead of doing small steps like they did with Darla's pregeancy that thing took forever as did the Conner storyline. The giant storyline for this season is a great feature too where you can't really miss an episode, because one is better than the other. Add in the rumors about Buffy crossovers and the show's demise probably helped fans get into more which meant Joss wanted to show off a bit. Its ok, to show off it means you are doing good things.

A Fan- anyone remember where I put that deathpool?

Angel's Season has been good this year, but this week's episode was REALLY mediocre. Andrew's Show went better than Gunn's, and Andrew hasn't had nearly as much build.
