Damn this episode rocked!!! Not as much *happened* as did last week, but watching Wesley try to get Faith to be a true badass again was fun. I like how they are showing how Cordelia is working Connor. I'm guessing that when Angel finally goes to stop Cordy, Connor won't know the score, and the two will have to face off, even though they are both *good*. And what was up with Cordy's Voice of God? That sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it. And Connor's a demon??? Interesting. It was funny watching him try to wrinkle his face.
I'm now thinking Faith v. Angelus may have to be MotY.
I really liked Angelus' comments about the stiff upper lip and good vs. evil.
SPOILER (ONLY IF YOU DIDN'T SEE THE TRAILER FOR NEXT WEEK)
Its a shame there's no Buffy next week to set up Willow's appearance. Although I think Buffy returns the week after, so I'm wondering what tidings Willow will bring back to Sunnydale. Willow vs. Evil Cordy in a witch fight looks fun.
END SPOILER
I apologize for being a Buffy/Angel mark.

There isn't a set-up, per se. Guess who Will returns to Sunnydale with?
I have a special friend. He's the baby Jesus and I love him and...and...he don't give me no s**t and he don't f**k around and he's just the f**king coolest guy and I wanna say I love the baby Jesus.I can't say enough.I love the baby Jesus and I think...he's the best thing and he's really great when he shares his love for everbody. You know what I mean?I can't even see a manger without thinkin' about him,eh?I just love the Jesus.I've only been into him for a couple of hours though, but I'm really into him. --Bruce McCulloch
I thought it was an ok episope. I get this HHH vibe from Angelus where he doesn't job and when does become Angel again it will be a huge surprise. I thought Faith acted like a real wimp even in the end fight. I understand the reasoning behind it, but I still was hoping for some good shots on Angelus.
Willow guest starring next week was the highlight of the show for me. If she does figure out who or what Cordy is, it should be a great episode. I just think they are going to prolong the Angelus/Cordy heel turns as long as they can.
A Fan- A bit of a disappointing episode, but the last scene was awesome.
Last night sealed the deal for me. I'm thinking that Gunn gets killed within the next three epidsodes.
Other than that...uh...mostly good. I'm enjoying Cordelia and Angel's manipulation of everyone and each other, and Faith always makes for good TV (especially with Wes).
I'm looking forward to see what they do with Willow next week, but actually what they do with Faith/Angelus is more interesting to me right now.
Another disparity of interests:
Cordelia's "fast developing" pregnancy has me interested, but not as much, in light of watching Angel Season 1 recently, as what the hell she was thinking when she cut and colored her hair.
Satire 03/10/03 (wienerboard.com) <- No kidding, right? Buffy 7.16 gets a 7.65372 Andrew is funny, but I'm not sure that we needed "The Andrew Episode".
Hey it's the guy who has to wait three fucking days and up to an hour later because of Baseball/Volleyball/Whatever Hawaii gets their ass kicked!
Poor Eliza. My poor, poor, hot, poor, Eliza. Faith has got the shit kicked out of her two weeks in a row, but man when she let loose I was FEELING it. Who's gonna save her from turning?
BTW did Beastaster Cordy sound the same as the Beast to anyone else?
I've always had my money on Gunn dying. ALWAYS. If he fails to do so I'll genuinely be surprised.
Oh, and (left over thought from last week) what is the First doing sending knives to LA?
Yeah, that bugged me....why didn't the First just send the Bringers after Faith, instead of the random prison chick?
Well Mr. Burns had done it. The power plant had won it. With Rogers Clemens clucking all the while. Mike Scioscia's tragic illness made us smile. While Wade Boggs lay unconscious on the barroom tile. We're talkin'... Softball. From Maine to San Diego. Talkin'... Softball. Mattingly and Canseco. Ken Griffey's grotesquely swollen jaw. Steve Sax and his run-in with the law. We're talkin' Homer... Ozzie and the Straw.
Maybe because its easier just to smuggle a knife into prison than it is for some robed guys with x's for eyes to break in?
I thought Beast(M?)aster Cordy sounded like Christopher Lee, maybe...
And yes, I'm thinking Gunn goes too now. Joss' modus operandi seems to be to establish a couple, then to break them up, then to have them get back together, and then whack one of them. (Giles/Jenny, Willow/Tara). Maybe its just because the shows have to be soap opera-ish by nature, but love does not seem lasting in the Joss-verse.
I apologize for being a Buffy/Angel mark.

Killing Faith seems to be a secondary thought to the First. Since, the First probably came to the conclusion that know one in their right mind would come looking for Faith. If Faith dies in prison, no one would really care too much.
I believe I heard somewhere that Joss doesn't like the idea of true love on the show i.e. couple lives happily ever after. I can understand that with the High School years where relationships die hard. However, I'm finding it a bit annoying that Xander/Anya can't be together, because it violates that policy. Besides Buffy/Angel, I thought this the relationship where people can rally around.
Killing Faith would also bring forth another Slayer. Remember, ever since Buffy died at the end of the first season, the lineage of the Slayer stopped following through her. That's why she's "The Last Slayer".

On the one hand, keeping Faith penned up in prison, unaware of the impending doom in Sunnydale (shouldn't she be having visions/dreams? Or does Buffy only get those since she's on the Hellmouth?), would have to work well for the First. It seems like Buffy's certainly not following the First's plans all that well, and the last thing it would need is two super-girls running around kicking its ass. The potentials are just normal girls until they are chosen. (or maybe they are above average, but they are not slayers with super strength...) That's got to be good for the First.
On the other hand, it would seem that Buffy is the only person that the First needs, as the Eye of Bojoxer (or whatever that thing that Anya and Giles went to talk to) said that it was the Slayer's fault that was causing all this, and the First told the Turok-han not to kill "her." (Presumably Buffy) Besides, the Turok-han had Buffy unconscious and buried under a pile of rubble at the end of their second encounter. Why wouldn't it have killed her, unless she was essential to the plan? So given that, if the First is going to be wiping out the slayer lineage, including the slayer, it might as well get the lineage jumping again. Besides, just as Buffy's gotten stronger and been able to understand her power better the more time she's been the slayer, one would have to think that even in prison, Faith has been improving.
Then again, she hasn't proved much by getting her ass kicked the last two weeks.
At any rate, I'm sure it'll all make sense when Faith shows up in Sunnydale.
On a sidenote, I was checking out the proposed schedule for Buffy (buffyworld.com). 3/25 is the next new one, and then we don't get another new one until 4/22. (although that starts the big 5 parter that ends the show.) Am I alone in thinking that the Buffy finale should be two hours?
I apologize for being a Buffy/Angel mark.

I was too late, I guess. (But I suspect I wouldn't have completed it anyway as giving a Facebook app permission is a lot like "registration" and I am suspicious of all Facebook apps' violating my privacy)
