Well, I'm sure by now everyone has read what has to be one of the worst non-death wrestling newsbits in a LONG time. Kurt Angle, just four weeks away from his WrestleMania main event match, is injured. So injured, that he can not participate in his much anticipated title match with Brock Lesnar. This leaves Brock Lesnar without an opponent. I've heard several people's ideas as to who Lesnar will fight.

But I'm sick of it. I'm sick of hearing about Brock v. Hunter, Brock v. Goldberg, and worse of all... Brock v. Undertaker. FUCKING UNDERTAKER!!!! As if I wasn't upset enough already.

So, I want to know who you guys want to see face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Not who you THINK will face him. I've had enough bad news for one day. I need a "pick-me-up". I want to hear who you WANT to face Brock. Pretend you're in charge of 'Mania. Who should replace Angle?

I vote: Chris Benoit. Might as well elevate someone, especially someone who already has past history with the guy. Your guys' thoughts?

Agreed with Benoit.

There's the possible angle of either one being the guy who injured Edge before No Way Out in order to screw the other in a handicap match...or something along those lines.

If Angle can't make it, it's gotta be Benoit!

I agree that Benoit should fight Lesnar at Mania.

In my heart,I want our 'Lord and Savior', but for drawing purposes since all the major star have matches already and they want to make this the last match.

Bring in Goldberg or Sting.(This is WM you need a draw).

So...blow a cool million on a one shot deal with a guy who doesn't sell or a guy who can't draw flies anymore?

WOW, that's an idea so good I'm surprised WCW didn't steal it.

I suppose if there ever was an excuse to sign Goldberg, this'd be it.

Still, I'd do an eight-man mini tournament for the belt, first round on Smackdown either next week or the week after, and the semis and the final at Wrestlemania. And, yeah, I'd book the final to be Brock-Benoit, too. (And with Benoit's history with Kurt, his ovation at the Rumble and his lack of a booked match for Wrestlemania, it's probably what they'll do, too.)

And there's no *way* this'll be the last match anymore. I have very little doubt they'll close with Rocky/Austin III now.

But, the thing is, is that WrestleMania will already do a monster buy-rate on name value alone. Plus, they've already got Austin/Rock as the "big name" match. So what's the harm in Brock/Benoit? Wrestling fans will buy WrestleMania anyway. I'm sure they will not say "Yeah, WrestleMania is always huge, and it's got the big Austin/Rock match! But Benoit in the world title match makes me not wanna' buy it". I just think that Goldberg should be saved for when they really need the money (like the summer). Use the guaranteed money-drawing PPV to push some new stars.

I also agree with Benoit, but I don't think Benoit should go over. Brock's been built up to be champion for so long, so why not give it to him already?

Give Brock the title and start building up his inevitable program with Rhyno, a match I personally can't wait for!

No, Benoit doesn't need to go over. Just being in the WrestleMania main-event will solidify him as a main-event star. Have him lose a long, hard-fought match with Lesnar, and then build Benoit up as a main-event guy after the show. Then, you can have him win the title sometime later this year. Possibly around SummerSlam or Survivor Series.

We need new stars. If they just stick Goldberg in the main-slot it accomplishes nothing. It'll add no new buys (or so few new buys that it won't matter anyways), and in three months, when the guy is gone from the company, we'll be right back where we are now. Brock, 'Taker, and Hunter all at the top, with no solid main-eventers to challenge them.

Of course, it seems like Vince likes it that way.

I'm not opposed in principle to the idea of bringing in someone from outside the company to fill the gap, but now isn't the time to turn Brock heel and Sting and Goldberg aren't likely to work as faces (and you can take that sentence in two different ways and have it be true). If there's a heel out there who you could bring it, then I'd say do it, although I can't think of anyone who would have that impact. Jeff Jarrett is probably the most recognizable heel right now who doesn't have some connection to the company already (and who is capable of working) and I don't think he'd be any better than some of the guys that they have. Of course, they wouldn't do business with Jarrett anyway.

So it's probably best to go with Benoit, or possibly Nash if he's healthy enough. Or maybe even have Steiner jump over into the spot from Raw.

I say move Rob Van Dam over to Smackdown soon. He can't sell, he can't cut great promos but nobody seems to give a shit, they love him. He's doing dick on RAW with no real push in sight so he's a good guy to help fill the void left by Edge & Angle on Smackdown.

I think it has to be Beniot. He has no other program for WM so it may as well. They could actually go 20-25 minutes too and we could still see some impressive mat wreslting exchanges from these two, unlike if they put anyone else in there with Lesnar.

As far as Steiner or Nash, please God no! Brock deserves better than that in his first WM main event slot.

I know a lot of people are against Taker being there, but I got to admit if Brock went over Undertaker at Mania, it would solidify him forever. Besides, I dug their matches.

Benoit is my choice, though. I think those two could put on one hell of a match. I'd like to see an Eddy/Benoit match to find out the number one contender and then have Benoit go to Mania to face The Brock.

This is what it should be in my opinion. Do the 8 man tournament, end up with Taker being the one wrestling Brock. Build up the fact that Taker's never lost at Wrestlemania. Build up that Brock's beaten Taker twice. Do 20 minutes with Brock going over. Then over the next few months, turn Brock heel. By the time Angle returns, they can do Brock-v-Angle properly.

They could do something on Smackdown with Paul Heyman offering Benoit Angle's spot, and even giving him "Team Benoit", if he joins up. Benoit could be in a struggle between getting a shot at the belt that might be his last, or staying true to his morals.

If and I say 'If' they choose our Lord and Savior (who I'm not against)for the main at WM then he has to go over Brock or he's dead in the water as a main-eventer. The IWC but mostly casual fans will see him as someone who always gets to the promiseland but can never bring home the gold so I don't think it's wise to put Benoit in this type of high profile match and then job him out among other reason I have.

If they do choose Benoit, I'm already salvating for the spot that I KNOW will happen, as Benoit becomes the first person to counter the F-5 by grabbing Brock's shoulder/arm as he spins and riding him down into the crossface.

Since everyone else is doing fantasy booking, I may as well.

Use Benoit at Wrestlemania. After Jericho gets his WM rub from HBK, move him back to Smackdown. He doesn't fit in on Raw at all and is running out of things to do there.

Brock wins at WM, but he and Benoit continue their feud. AFter it runs its course, move Benoit and Jericho into a continuation of their running feud.

Anyway, I'm a little surprised nobody seems to have brought up The Big Show, since that seems more along the lines of typical McMahonthought - unless he ACTUALLY remembered how well it DIDN'T work the LAST time he went to Show (only a scant few months back).
