Arg, this is going to be difficult. This isn't a real song that you hear on the radio or anything, that's why I put this in random. You know how the WWF always has their background music for all the recaps? Well, I'm looking for the song that's used often on Baseball and Football season highlights. It's hard to describe music, but it's the one where and the pivotal point of whatever the music goes "DunDundundundundun. DUN! DUN!"

If you have any clue of what I'm talking about, throw me a bone please.

It could be just production music. We at the station have hundreds of 60 and 30 second music beds used for anything from commercial backgrounds to open/close music to buffers.

If that's true it will be near impossible to find that music.

Good luck though.

I think he's talking about a real song.

I'm thinking it's "Twilight Zone (We Feel Alright)" by 2 Unlimited. You can hear a RealAudio clip at musicspace.com (the compilation called "Pulse" on Disc 2) to be sure.

Could you be a little more vague? Please?

I could try. It's a band playing. Does that help at all?

I gave up after about an hour. Whenever I feel like hearing it, I'll just playing my World Series DVD.

if you've got it, it's on the PS game WWF smackdown 1...

when you have to fight on RAW, the RAW music will play, and after it ends, it plays the incidental music SSS is looking for...if i have the time & engery & remember to, i'll rip it from the cd and make an mp3...

SSS, maybe if you post at which point exactly during your World Series DVD it plays, someone on some message board somewhere could listen to that part and go "I know that song!"

Aw, MAN, you have the same problem I do!

My local AHL hockey team plays a little video clip before most of its games, and it has a techno song as its audio content. It took me weeks of digging to figure out that it was Darude's "Sandstorm". (I have no idea if it's getting radio airplay in Philly, as we have no actual radio in Philly.)

They have another techno track they play about once a game, which I'd also like to know the name of... but how exactly does one describe a fast-paced instrumental in text?

Argh.

Sample the bit off of the DVD and put it up. We can figure it out from there.

Getting onto another thread in the forum here, the real question is, does anyone else here know where the Iron Chef theme is taken from? I know, and I have the CD.

No, but I heard it during the Super Bowl pregame show when they were doing one of their 9-11 pieces. Tell me lou.

I believe the Iron Chef theme is the theme from Backdraft, assuming you mean the bit in the opening when Kaga looks over Kitchen Stadium.

There, I feel better now.
