I like Czaban's Fox show. It's got a higher sports/non ratio than Mr Tony's show, but makes up for it by being more ribald than anyone on ESPN is allowed to be.
(if you listen to the show regulaly, you'll hear that I've made "reguar emailer" status there, too).
Czaban I think is better on his afternoon drive show with Andy Polley, since they have a good "good cop/bad cop" chemistry. This you can listen to the net streaming, although not archived at the wtem website.
"No one's ever done a movie about flowers before. So there are no guidelines." "What about "Flowers for Algernon"?" "Well, that's not about flowers. And it's not a movie." "Ok, I'm sorry, I never saw it." -- Adaptation

Thanks for the tip. I'll probably try them this afternoon.
Ok, anybody in the DFW area of Texas might have heard of Sports Radio 1310: The Ticket It has the perfect morning show named "The Dunham and Miller show" and a great late afternoon show named "The Hardline", a good mix of sports and entertainment. Well they usually go off the deepend when it comes to entertainment, but its usually humorous. Anyways, on this raido network they have the most obnoxious guy named Norm Hitzges who spends 15 minutes talking about how he uses a Panda bear in his van to get in the carpool lane. He also might have the most annoying nasal voice ever
Eh who am I kidding, I'm spoiled, I get ESPN Radio, Fox Sports radio (who is supposedly not doing so well) and once in a blue moon, Sporting News Radio.
"Can you be quiet! I'm finishing up with Catherine the Great... Or should I say Catherine the So-So!"
PTI is about the only good thing on ESPN outside of NBA Action. Sports Reporters is good sometimes as well, but with the amount of topics they attempt to cover, it should be an hour long show. I don't know how ESPN could gut their flagship show, Sportscenter. I mean, Hot Seat and HearSay are HORRRIBLE!!!! You mean, I get less highlights and news for this crap?
Around The Horn sucks as well. Whoever came up with these show ideas needs to get back to booking RAW. Because ESPN is definitely on a downward spiral. That Win, Lose, and Deal or whatever it was sucked too. I look for ESPN to give me SPORTS, not anything but.
January 4th 1999 - The day WCW injected itself with 10 gallons of Liquid Anthrax...AKA...The day Hogan "Defeated" Nash to win the WCW title in front of 40,000.
I understand their desire to somewhat diversify, but not at the cost of your mission statement. (MTV, I'm looking at you.)
I guess they know no one would watch Hear Say if it were on its own, just like no one really watched 2 minute drill.
Glen Parker was on DP's show arguing that Arena League highlights should be on Sportscenter (he's an NBC announcer, as well as a former NFL player) and Patrick wondered if there was room for it.
Well, not if you have stuff like Here Say on it doesn't.
BTW, I remember Hitzges when he was ever so briefly on Baseball Tonight, just as non-sports guy Dave Marash was the first Sunday night BBTN host.
Hitzges is definitely no Norman Chad.
