I just wanted to say that it is a real pain in the ass when people unwittingly (or knowingly and thoughtlessly) use pictures which attempt to load third party cookies. I can understand linking to a picture once in a while, but using a cookie deliverer as your poster profile picture is weak!
Am I one of these? I don't know how to tell. I mean I look at all my cookies and did not see anything from Nick.com. If I am loading third party cookies please tell me and I will get ride of my Fairly Odd Parents pic.
Dont think so Cal- I don't get any warnings when I load this page, but I may have already permenantly blocked the site it came from, so who knows?
The first few times I got the 3rd party cookie warning,I was a bit frazzled, but I am fine with it now. It is not like I get the warnings every single time I load a page (hell, I can go multiple sessions without encountering a single new one). The occasional 3rd party cookie attempt vs. massive pop-ups? I think the choice is clear as to which anyone would prefer...
Not that restraint when posting in a "public" forum isn't a good thing...

Feel free to report them to me privately (or, if you're feeling mean, out them publicly :)) and we'll get them LARTed...or maybe get them some webspace to store copies of the desried pictures where cookies aren't a problem.

One of them is asteroidboy who is using an image from salon.com as his user picture. Since he's prolific (level 44) I'm surprised it didn't come up sooner. Then again, maybe I'm one of the few cookie averse users left on the planet.

Probably, yes. :) But I don't think that makes your point any less valid.
I wouldn't make any correlation to posters' "levels," though. Not only because in the past I've spent a lot of time making sure it's seen as a meaningless gauge, but most of the long-timers regularly change up their avatars anyway.

Meaningless gauge...?
Oh, kayfabe, right. Meaningless gauge. Uh-huh.

Looks like the random quote machine misfired for you that one time. I reckon that happens from time to time without most people even noticing. We'll suppress the warnings from that routine.
